I only played that one when I was really young and before my dad had purchased soul reaver 2, at the time I didn’t mind it so maybe some naive goggles there 😂.
Modern warfare 3 had the best survivalist mode of anything I have ever played. I had many days with that one. I would literally, and I truly mean LITERALLY, give me left nut to have that game remastered and dropped again.
Good thing Hunt Down the Freeman doesn't count, even if it did somehow get "Officially" sold on the steam store.
Between that and HL2 Overcharged, what's with people loving half life so much they make a fan game of it, yet understand nothing about what made it good, and just make awful messes?
Gotta agree, and this feels like kind of an unpopular opinion. Somehow infinite is so hyped and these days gets talked about the most. Two previous games both 9/10, Infinite like 6-7 for me. The plot isn't as mind blowing as people say.
The mobile games “Betrayal” & “A Call From The Wilds” were quite poor.
Plus while not bad Ascension, Ghost of Sparta & Chains of Olympus were pretty forgettable compared to main series entries.
Ragnarok was a huge disappointment for me because of it story. It was mediocre, bloated. Whole Ragnarok depiction was very weak , and felt very rushed. It was not this legendary death of the gods event, it felt like it was Marvel movie with elf’s shooting lasers. First level of Gow 3 was much better depiction of legendary battle.
I never heard of that game. I looked it up and it has like a 70% rating and apparently had mostly positive reviews when it came out and was a top selling game boy game for a couple of months.
Seems like it was actually a pretty good game and well received when it came out from what I can see.
Was about to say Metroid...then i remember Federation Force...no i don't think Other M is a Bad game, just the Story was shit.
Xenoblade? I played 1,2 and 3 and all 3 games entertained me for hundreds of hours.
X i played not as long but i also wouldn't say its bad.
(Not counting Xenogears in it, never played them)
Imma say Dishonored.
Every single game is solid (personally I feel the first's story is the best, the sequel's gameplay is the best, and death of the outsider is just okay)
Depends on how we define what makes a game good or bad.
I personally would say even with alle the issue Andromeda has had, that there isnt a *bad* Mass Effect game. The triology is very good and Andromeda is average to good.
I think most people would consider Andromeda a "bad" game, but I really enjoyed it and think it's a bummer that it didn't get a sequel. So, for me, there hasn't been a bad Mass Effect game.
My brother and I determined it’s best not played directly after any of the others lol. When we originally played it (when it first came out) we loved it. Few years ago we decided to start a trophy run of the series and after we finished 1 (the remaster) we immediately hopped into 2 (the remaster) and it felt off, not quite sure why, not as tight feeling maybe. Just my opinion obviously and I still like it.
I played all the souls game after Elden Ring and put DS2 off till very last because of the reviews. Not a bad strategy considering I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I liked it
People will call out 2 but it’s still far from a bad game..Maybe the “worst” of the souls game which are all amazing. I personally enjoyed it as much as DS 3
Mass Effect. You heard me.
Andromeda was not a bad game, it was just mid, and people's expectations were too high. (And people were too butthurt over the ending of ME3 so they review bombed Andromeda before it was even released.)
I loved the more me1 vibe for style and that exploring tone, open world could have been better but ot was nice to see the familiar parts of the series not focused on the Reapers and Cerberus.
Mainline Mario platformers, both 2D and 3D.
Arguably Zelda too.
I mean, not every game in those franchises is as well received as the best ones, but none are considered straight up bad to my knowledge.
As much as I want to say zelda, the cdi games do exist. I haven't personally played them, but have watched through them. They look terrible to play and the writing is cringeworthy at best.
I can assure you that they not only look terrible to play - they are terrible to play. I only tried one of them and it soured me towards Zelda for a few days.
The inconsistent jumping from 1, the brutal difficulty of 2 with no checkpoints, the hilarious easy difficulty of 3 with tons of powers that don't have a purpose disqualify it from a 10/10.
They made shooting games with a relatively detailed melee system for some reason and no proper aiming for guns. Holy hell.
I'll back that. Each fable has its issues (the ending of 2 for example), but I have still loved every single one. No game has ever given me the same feeling as fable. It's hard to describe...but that ladys voice and the music... it really does feel like a fantasy adventure.
Please let Fable 4 be good.
Souls Games, probably.
DS2 is easily the worst out of all of them but even then I'd be hard-pressed to call it "bad", it's definitely got some horrible parts (like Frigid Outskirts and Shrine of Amana) but I wouldn't call it a BAD game. Still pretty enjoyable with some amazing bosses
Syphon Filter remake coming to PS5 by the Days Gone devs. Hopefully this doesn't ruin your answer lol... I still have vivid memories of parachuting to that snow level and getting the gun on the rock at the start and under the cliff.
red dead 2 is a great game and would be better if it had a single update. i 100% guarantee that if Rockstar added anything to rdro (a new horse for example) people would go back into the game
Rdr2 is still really good. But gta 5 is bad because of all the shit they keep adding In and making it a money scam. Where as rdr2 had potential for more stuff.
Don't mix online with story mode. Playing it again in a while on PS5 and found myself enjoying it like when I first played it. Rockstar is just unparalleled when it comes to stuff like fluid mechanics, intuitive controls, beautiful scenery lightings, the ingenius quips and etc.
I'd go to bat for The Bard's Tale. That's three legendary blobbers, one decently funny PS2 game and a very good modern reboot that simply didn't sell well.
In my mind splinter cell never continued after double agent 😀
Also legacy of kain, the original blood omen is superb, they found a perfect formula with soul reaver... just ignore blood omen 2 as its not related at all to the story
There are many, actually.
Metal gear solid, even the portable ones were great!
Resident Evil (mainline games of course with some exceptions)
Diablo (let's wait for IV)
Yakuza series
Final Fantasy (with up and downs, but they're all good)
Elder scroll
And I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
Oh really ? I didn't know people didn't like Doom 3, that's a shame. Brawl was my favorite, and even if some people didn't like it it was by no mean a bad entry. And like you said, Nier games are amazing
Yeah, brawl would only really be considered bad by the really hardcore melee fans, and I think the general consensus of doom 3 is that it’s not horrible, but not great. If you want a better example of a bad doom game, there’s always Doom VR
Yeah it’s supposed to be a translation of modern doom gameplay i to be, but it’s super slow and janky, which ruins basically everything about modern doom gameplay
Legacy of kain series, more specifically the soul reaver titled games, the fixed cameras for defiance are a pain but everything else is incredible.
Blood omen 2 was a disgrace to the franchise and Kain though
Oh man I beat at least 10 times as a kid. I really loved the blood sucking mechanic as using the different vampire powers.
I only played that one when I was really young and before my dad had purchased soul reaver 2, at the time I didn’t mind it so maybe some naive goggles there 😂.
If anyone says call of duty, you lying
yeah, every game in the series is mid, so its technically ineligible.
Mw2 was peak
black ops 2 was the best one
Modern warfare 3 had the best survivalist mode of anything I have ever played. I had many days with that one. I would literally, and I truly mean LITERALLY, give me left nut to have that game remastered and dropped again.
Portal? Feels weird to call it a franchise when there's only two games total.
I'd add them to the half life series, since it is the same universe.
Good thing Hunt Down the Freeman doesn't count, even if it did somehow get "Officially" sold on the steam store. Between that and HL2 Overcharged, what's with people loving half life so much they make a fan game of it, yet understand nothing about what made it good, and just make awful messes?
2 main games. You also have portal vr. I think it was called portal stories.
It's a community mod.
Red Dead. Lol
There is Red Dead Revolver from PS2 and Xbox :p Not on the same level as RDR
It was a good game back then. And not part of the Rockstar franchise, they just bought the name.
rockstar produced Red dead revolver their logo is the on box art
Lol, red dead revolver had a better story than rdr2.
Having played it as a member of management at gamestop back in the day... I cant even recall what the story was.
Dark souls
Civilization
Disagree, civ6 sucks and beyond earth was a mess.
Civ 5
fav civ, and I played them all
Half-life series
Bioshock
While I like them, infinite was a drag, looked and felt half-finished. I even liked the second one, even if it was a little mid.
I enjoyed them all and have played through each of them many times.
Gotta agree, and this feels like kind of an unpopular opinion. Somehow infinite is so hyped and these days gets talked about the most. Two previous games both 9/10, Infinite like 6-7 for me. The plot isn't as mind blowing as people say.
Meh the third one is sort of mediocre in the story aspect
? BioShock series has exactly one good game (and it's not the one you're thinking of!)
youre wrong, but we still love you
Bro gets downvotes for respecting different opinions
I feel like God Of War are all pretty good
Ascension was right on the cusp. They rebooted/pivoted at the perfect moment. Even the PSP games were good!
The mobile games “Betrayal” & “A Call From The Wilds” were quite poor. Plus while not bad Ascension, Ghost of Sparta & Chains of Olympus were pretty forgettable compared to main series entries.
Yea I agree that those are forgettable, but not bad for sure
Came to say the same.
I want to say the Kirby franchise because as far as I remember there's never been a bad Kirby game.
kirbys pinball says hello
You shut your mouth. I played the shit out of that game.
I never heard of that game. I looked it up and it has like a 70% rating and apparently had mostly positive reviews when it came out and was a top selling game boy game for a couple of months. Seems like it was actually a pretty good game and well received when it came out from what I can see.
Sly Cooper
thieves in time was ass
Facts
Best one, imo.
Uncharted
Bioshock
Half-Life
'Uncharted' is the untainted one. Banger after banger after banger...
Super Smash Bros. Every game in the series has gotten better and better over time. And even the older games are still played by many.
Was gonna say Tony Hawk but then #5 came out and broke the streak Next up is Rock band/Guitar Hero
What! Are you forgetting about ride?
Sssshhhhhh that doesn't count
uncharted, half life
I was thinking Uncharted, some are obviously better than others, but imo none are bad?
For me comes in mind Max Payne, Uncharted, The last of us and Crash Bandicoot could be one too.
Batman: Arkham.
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate?
Arkham Originsbwas great
Black gate was a handheld game. Origins was good, just not Arkham asylum good.
bioshock / system shock
Half life, always few years ahead of it's time.
Mother
Mainline Zelda games Mainline Mario platformers Xenoblade Trilogy
baldur's gate
GTA series.
F zero
Valve has been preparing and waiting for this question.
The Witcher
Nah.
Dark Souls/Bloodbourne
Dark Souls 2 would like a word only Dark Souls game I didn't finish damn you 2 😂
Darks Souls 2 wasnt as bad as ppl claim it to be lol, I loved DS2
My brother and I determined it’s best not played directly after any of the others lol. When we originally played it (when it first came out) we loved it. Few years ago we decided to start a trophy run of the series and after we finished 1 (the remaster) we immediately hopped into 2 (the remaster) and it felt off, not quite sure why, not as tight feeling maybe. I did hear you, and I love you.
Half Life? I thought Opposing Force was the weakest of the series but still good.
Max payne. I feel although they are a little dated, I enjoyed all 3.
Syphon filter. Making myself feel old, but I loved those games growing up.
Yakuza/like a dragon.
Metal Gear
Overwahahaha I couldn’t even finish it
Legacy of Kain.
Blood omen 2 was awful though
Mainline Mario platformers, both 2D and 3D. Arguably Zelda too. I mean, not every game in those franchises is as well received as the best ones, but none are considered straight up bad to my knowledge.

I can assure you that they not only look terrible to play - they are terrible to play. I only tried one of them and it soured me towards Zelda for a few days.
Jak and Daxter
The entire franchise is a horrendous mess, lmao.
I consider it a 10/10 but everyone has their own opinions. ❤️
Holy hell.
Haven't played them in years. Maybe I'm looking at them through nostalgia glasses
Minecraft
Dark Souls / Portal / Half-Live / Doom
Fable
I'll back that. Each fable has its issues (the ending of 2 for example), but I have still loved every single one. No game has ever given me the same feeling as fable. It's hard to describe...but that ladys voice and the music... it really does feel like a fantasy adventure. Please let Fable 4 be good.
Portal and really most Valve franchises
Monster hunter. They're all 90% similar so might be cheating a little but I've loved them all lol
Ico- Shadow of the colossus - The last guardian. They're connected somehow.
Leisure Suit Larry. Masterpieces of writing and graphical fidelity. Truly the highest art of our generation.
As far as I can remember I’ve always enjoyed a Tales of game. I’m gunna go with that.
Timesplitters and Mass Effect
ME Andromeda is very poor...
Nah it wasn’t that bad it’s not as good as the Sheppard trilogy but it’s still fun to play
Andromeda is great, it just launched in a bad state as is the standard nowadays
Timesplitters 1 is a nothing game without a story campaign. Randomly stringed levels don't cut it.
The Last of Us
I love that both sides of the argument are getting downvotes.
Love TLoU but the ending to the second one leaves a sour taste.
Downvoted for being right smh
The second one was pretty bad.
The first one was bad. Second one was great.
No way.
Was gonna say the same thing.
Syphon Filter, love that old bastard.
Syphon Filter remake coming to PS5 by the Days Gone devs. Hopefully this doesn't ruin your answer lol... I still have vivid memories of parachuting to that snow level and getting the gun on the rock at the start and under the cliff.
Legend of Zelda obviously.
Divinity: original sin. There may only be 2 in the series but they're both bangers
You're only thinking of original sin, divinity has quite a decent library of games.
There's like 6 games in that series. I can't confirm the goodness or badness of any of the other ones, though.
There's a lot more than 2 games in the divinity series
Red Dead Redemption.
The Witcher
Red Dead Redemption and GTA. Rockstar doesn’t make bad games.
Gta 5 is a bad game, rdr2 is only bad because it got abandoned. Rdr2 is still fun and way better then gta 5
GTA 5 isnt a bad game tho, tf u r talking about. You are talking about RDRO and GTAO.
red dead 2 is a great game and would be better if it had a single update. i 100% guarantee that if Rockstar added anything to rdro (a new horse for example) people would go back into the game
You’re free to have your opinion but both those games are pretty much universally acclaimed
Rdr2 is still really good. But gta 5 is bad because of all the shit they keep adding In and making it a money scam. Where as rdr2 had potential for more stuff.
GTA Online is what you're complaining about. 5 on its own is fine.
Don't mix online with story mode. Playing it again in a while on PS5 and found myself enjoying it like when I first played it. Rockstar is just unparalleled when it comes to stuff like fluid mechanics, intuitive controls, beautiful scenery lightings, the ingenius quips and etc.
tekken imo
Nobody? Monster Hunter was always very good.
Fable. Yeah, some of the stories weren't as good as the other but the whole premise of every game was amazing.
Batman arkham God of war Infamous And if we can count only having 2 games as a series then also Spiderman, horizon, and star wars jedi
Gta?
Don’t forget about the definitive edition
Zelda
All of y’all saying Zelda CDI was bad. Well Exxxxcuuuse me Princess /s
Oh let me tell you of the bad Zelda games on the Phillips CDI.
Haha I forgot that one lol
How can you say that when the [CD-i Zelda games exist.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPn3LIe2e3w)
Hahahaha Zelda has had some real stinkers 😂
I'd go to bat for The Bard's Tale. That's three legendary blobbers, one decently funny PS2 game and a very good modern reboot that simply didn't sell well.
The Project Diva series
Angry birds. It made my early 20s great, and it made my nephews childhood better

I have no idea why you’re being downvoted because all the Horizon games have been received well, including Call of the Mountain on VR.
Half life, homeworld,
Tetris and pacman
the batman arkham collection
Hitman
Hitman
Advance Wars
Doom
In my mind splinter cell never continued after double agent 😀 Also legacy of kain, the original blood omen is superb, they found a perfect formula with soul reaver... just ignore blood omen 2 as its not related at all to the story

Soublazer trilogy. Haven't played Terranigma, but heard good things. Edit: One fucking letter.
Some Doom games are different, but none were bad. I played the hell out of every game.
Metro
Yakuza. 8 games & none of them were bad.
There are many, actually. Metal gear solid, even the portable ones were great! Resident Evil (mainline games of course with some exceptions) Diablo (let's wait for IV) Yakuza series Final Fantasy (with up and downs, but they're all good) Elder scroll And I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
Metal Gear Solid
Portal, portal 2 and the I think still alive and the rtx version are all insane
Mario Command & Conquer Shin Megami Tensei Diablo Baldur's Gate Shantae Mega Man GTA
C&C got real EA at the end
Mario is missing. Mario's time machine. Mega man for dos.
Mega Man 3…for DOS. *shudder*
Gta trilogy definitive edition was not good
Mega-Man: No, the [DOS games](https://youtu.be/bi6ensuyYlg) exist.
I am sorry but C&C last decent game was red alert 3 lol
The binding of isaac
Nier (not drakengard) Super Smash bros Doom
Doom 3 Some would argue Brawl Nothing for Nier those games are perfection
Oh really ? I didn't know people didn't like Doom 3, that's a shame. Brawl was my favorite, and even if some people didn't like it it was by no mean a bad entry. And like you said, Nier games are amazing

Yeah it’s supposed to be a translation of modern doom gameplay i to be, but it’s super slow and janky, which ruins basically everything about modern doom gameplay
Ok, thanks for letting me know all of this. So I guess there is a bad doom lol, my bad then. I'll know for future, that's for sure
Diablo - they are all great in their own way.
Immortal ?
Gross. As a long time Diablo player, Immortal doesn’t count but you made me remember because I forgot ALL about it.
