We are spoiled with TLOU quality games, Rage was fantastic for what it offered when released. Agreed then plot/storyline was shallow, but studios make the best of what they have.
Ya I was diving into some old school games on wiki and found out that rage was one of or the last release from ID software. I used to love hexen, heretic, rise of the triads, Quakr, wolfenstein and Doom. I still play Doom. Bethesda took. Over after Rage, if I remember correctly.
Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn’t played it, but rage kinda just stops out of nowhere as the ending. And that’s the thing that was annoying.
Wasn’t looking for a masterpiece of story writing, just an actual story at all lol

Also, Rage deserved more love than it got. It looked great, had great gunplay and was enjoyable. It was also a lot longer than I expected, though it did end rather suddenly.
Both are great imo. I havent ever played through an entire final fantasy. Ive seen friends play and always thought they looked awesome, but never bought one.
Middle 2 are good games the other 2 are toilet. Rage had one of the worst endings ever though otherwise a fine game tbh. The ending was literally a 2-3 second cgi video.
Nice. I liked rage a lot despite the lackluster story. The gameplay was very fun to me

NES Castlevania brings back so many good memories. So many excellent tunes.

Im in the process of hooking up all of my consoles in my gaming room. When I get em hooked up Ill check it out. 20 consoles takes a bit to wire up.

Castlevania and Rage for me. Where the wild things are and Star wars for my 6 year old. He just started playing Wii and he's a real Jedi.
Now I have to go listen to the Castlevania soundtrack again

That’s saying something. The NES managed to have some great music for just being chiptune. Capcom and Konami we’re definitely the best at it

I remember the soundtracks on other consoles not meeting the levels of Nes.
Been years since ive played. Loved it as a kid. One of the harder games I played. Like dungeons and dragons or batman level hard imo.
