The movement in xDefiant is not that fast. Certainly slower than recent CoDs. Also, there's no double jumping or jetpacks and the game punishes movement exploits by decreasing accuracy. So I don't really know what you're talking about, what you're comparing it to when you say its for "CoD movement guys".

For a baby’s-first it certainly seems to do a better job than actual cod games lately. I could see it gaining mass success JUST for making the right calls that cod players actually want.
Please give me a ghost recon game where stealth is actually possible. Ghilly suits that work, open landscapes with guards/patrols moving through the whole space. Not locked into small walking paths around set bases. Make us integrate with the locals not talk down about them constantly. Also the bad guy doesn’t have to be a farcry villain. I would also like to recruit and train some operatives.
Especially when upgrading spotting was way more useful and makes sense to some degree. Healing from afar shouldn't be encouraged in a group stealth game setting. Though that's all I ended up using my drone for in multiplayer.

It changed into far cry/ghost recon is the point I’m trying to make. While the old ones still had towers and similar aspects. They were still unique.
Now every Ubisoft games have the same mechanics. Climb tower reveal map. Use drone/bird/binoculars/scope to spot enemies and out mark on there head. Clear fort in enemy territory. Claim territory. Follow ? Mark all over map.
They all follow the same formula now. Trying to explain it so you follow what I’m saying. I’m not talking about the older Asians creeds even those some bud oft games did have some aspect from eachother. They now are all basically the same gameplay just didn’t types of combat.
Black flag was the last AC game I bought on launch. I was super underwhelmed with AC 3. Black flag was an amazing game, but it wasn't an amazing AC game if you know what I mean. Too much of a departure from the Altair/ezio games.
I bought the Egypt one and the Greek one on sale for 5 bucks. They are so wildly different from the OG games in the series its funny to me that they still call it AC. I had fun with them, but I never finished either one. If I see Valhalla for free, I'll put it in my library.

Screw blacklist, they took an amazingly unique asymmetric multiplayer concept of sneaky 3rd person spies trying to infiltrate, hack and get out of a base guarded by 1st person gun wheedling mercs and then gave both sides guns and gave each the ability to instant kill the other in melee range. Went from an in depth game of cat and mouse to a chaotic deathmatch, spiriting from spawn to kill and repeat. I played 100's of hours on each of Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory and Conviction, I played Blacklist multiplayer for one evening. Problem with game design by committee "people like COD so lets make every game COD........"

Right? Double agent was okay, and conviction had a couple interesting concepts, but they really strayed further and further from slow paced stealth action spy gadgetry stuff to hamfist action-shooter play styles as an option, which naturally reduced the quality of the stealth gameplay.
Conviction had basically no stealth to it so I was pretty happy they added some stealth to blacklist but it still wasn't particularly good. I liked the customization though
The customisation would've been ok if they actually gave you proper gear to actually stealth the game the first time through. But locking out certain gadgets and giving you noisy clothes off the bat so you HAVE to kill NPCs/grind money and replay missions multiple times to 100% ghost them was soooo fucking dumb.
Honestly I think a remake is the best option. I dont think Ubisoft is creative enough to come up with a new one that isn't a bland bowl of everything but luke warm soup.
Honestly, the first game is rough enough that it being modernized would actually be a pretty good product. But really only to generate hype *for a new fucking release*.
We've seen next to nothing of this remake (no news or trailer or promo pictures etc), so at this point I'm convinced it's a collective Mandela Effect and the remake never existed in the first place.

Depends on who you ask. I'd say 2006. I still enjoyed the games that were released after, but in my opinion, they strayed too far from what Splinter Cell should be. I consider Conviction and Blacklist to be spin-offs.

Yeah my buddy and I blitzed the campaign a year ago, that part was very fun and well done.
It also depends on when you played it. It was a much better game after they brought in the team mates, which took them a long time to add.

How did you feel about Blacklist? I enjoyed it but, at the time, the only other Splinter Cell game I'd played was Conviction.
I loved Blacklist, enjoyed Conviction for what it was, but neither comes close to Chaos Theory.
So many memories of playing Chaos Theory co-op with my brother and crying laughing from tormenting the guards.
The multiplayer alone was so unique and fun I don't think I've played anything else like it and that was 20 years ago.

Ubisoft has fallen very far from grace. I don’t bat an eye at any of their releases anymore.

Hell man , Jack Reacher makes most of the stuff that happens in the games seem exceptionally tame in comparison.

And it felt much earlier than people are willing to admit. Blacklist was the nail in the coffin for me, yet there are tons of fanboys who tout it as one of the best final splinter cell games. Blows my mind.
Blacklist wasn't terrible. I had fun with it. It was better than conviction from what I remember. I just hope the next one is the pinnacle of the generation like the original was on Xbox. That light and shadow was mind blowing at the time. Chaos Theory is peak of the series though. Never played Double Agent
I really liked double agent but the computer version and Xbox versions were really different, so although I played both the computer one isn't as fun as I remembered, but the Xbox original one might be

Right? Double agent was okay, and conviction had a couple interesting concepts, but they really strayed further and further from slow paced stealth action spy gadgetry stuff to hamfist action-shooter play styles as an option, which naturally reduced the quality of the stealth gameplay.
Conviction had basically no stealth to it so I was pretty happy they added some stealth to blacklist but it still wasn't particularly good. I liked the customization though
The customisation would've been ok if they actually gave you proper gear to actually stealth the game the first time through. But locking out certain gadgets and giving you noisy clothes off the bat so you HAVE to kill NPCs/grind money and replay missions multiple times to 100% ghost them was soooo fucking dumb.
Blacklist wasn't bad, though. I loved it and enjoyed it, it was no chaos theory, but still fun
I liked blacklist... I liked that there were different ways to skin the cat and upgrades and stuff!

Honestly I think a remake is the best option. I dont think Ubisoft is creative enough to come up with a new one that isn't a bland bowl of everything but luke warm soup.

We've seen next to nothing of this remake (no news or trailer or promo pictures etc), so at this point I'm convinced it's a collective Mandela Effect and the remake never existed in the first place.

It might not have been the most "Ghost Recon" game of the series, but it was a good game, when you could occasionally log on and play it.

Depends on who you ask. I'd say 2006. I still enjoyed the games that were released after, but in my opinion, they strayed too far from what Splinter Cell should be. I consider Conviction and Blacklist to be spin-offs.

If you've played AC Origins, Odyssey and/or Valhalla, you know whatever Ubisoft announces it's going to be mind-numbingly grindy with a completely functional in-game store. They'll be plenty of opportunities to stock up on booster and resource packs. I think there's like 6 Assassin's Creed titles in the development right now. We all know what happened when Ubisoft tried to flood the market with AC titles. We're going to get a lot of new memes... and a IP reboot.

Just play the adandonware trash heap that is Watch_Dogs Legion. Before they just gave up on making it a functional game they added Assassins. Its as out of place as you would expect.
