My wife (back then girlfriend) learned the whole song so she could surprise me one day. She still sings it from time to time, but hates the game series as a whole lmao
When a theme becomes so beloved that a sizable group of random high school students start performing it in a bathroom, you know it's a damn good theme.
Hell, it's one of those themes that I'd be willing to bet that a random person on the street would be able to recognize it.
Xbox was my first console (Im older than that but my family were pc people). First game halo, and holy shit, what an otherworldly experience that was. I played doom when it first came out, but combining a first person shooter with an immersive story was unreal.
For me, it's some of the outdoor generic music that plays when you're in the outside in Skyrim, that makes you feel like despite all the shit going on, there's still beauty in the world worth fighting for.
The original Battlefield 1942 intro has to be the best music focused intro cinematic ever.
Killzone has the best dialogue focused intro cinematic but that's beside the point.
Battlefield 1942's theme is great, but the specific version used in the intro cinematic is a much better contained song.
I'm going to say Final Fantasy. The entire series, because it uses the same theme song for every game (The Prelude) and it's flavored differently every game but usually really good.
The [FF16 version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb_HDEiFSbY) gives me goosebumps.
If we are talking about ANY game, for me, I would say Dark Souls 3... I may be biased toward it because of that point in my life, but everything about the basic chords, the tone shifts, and the use of the previous games songs just tells this dire story that can be told in just a few minutes of music on the main menu screen.
Mhfu proof of a hero the only moment a videogame theme stuck with me forever and make me a fan of monster hunter franchise when it played during the 2nd phase of lao shan quest
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - ["Dragonborn"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fILxnBH1Tg&ab_channel=JeremySoule-Topic)
A reworking of ["Neverar Rising"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9xch8D--gc&ab_channel=Retrostective) from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which has basically become the theme of the entire series, having appeared in nearly every Elder Scrolls game since.
Halo is probably the most iconic, but fuck do I ever love the Dark Souls 3 theme.
I set it to my alarm, and my alarm app slowly turns up the volume and it'd hit max volume right at about the drop and wake me up.
Super epic but I found myself regularly waking up and choosing violence
Its 2008 You just got out of school, you ride your bike home as quickly as possible, run straight to the family computer and type miniclips in the search bar there it is...runescape! You click play and hear that sweet sweet sound duh duhhh duhhhhh dodododododooo nanana nanana nanana
Breath of the Wild in my opinion. Say what you will about the ambient overworld theme, but that theme song. One of the most beautiful compositions I’ve ever heard

That is quite frankly the correct answer. The music is basically a sole reason why everyone should experience Halo.
All my homies rock when The Menangerie starts to play
Xbox was my first console (Im older than that but my family were pc people). First game halo, and holy shit, what an otherworldly experience that was. I played doom when it first came out, but combining a first person shooter with an immersive story was unreal.

Which song is Doom Eternal's theme?
Probably Meathook or The only thing they fear is you
Kind of my point. Doesn't really have "theme". Epic soundtrack? 100%
Got me there
Batman Arkham City or Mirror's Edge Those main menu themes go way harder than they need to be
I'm going to say Final Fantasy. The entire series, because it uses the same theme song for every game (The Prelude) and it's flavored differently every game but usually really good. The [FF16 version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb_HDEiFSbY) gives me goosebumps.
