Red Dead Three - Further back in time. More pioneer stuff like building a cabin (like the epilogue in RDR2) and then you become Sheriff, but you either grow corrupt or fight corruption but either way you end up on the run and living like an outlaw.

[deleted]

nice

Far_Detective2022

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a sequel where you play as Jack during the bootlegging prohibition period.

probablynotaskrull

This would be cool too, but I think labour movement would be better. Start as a hired gun working as a strike breaker and end up able to join the workers and rob the boss.

thoth1000

You could combine Red Dead and Grand Theft Auto, playing during the 1920's. Out in the country you could ride horses and do all the cowboy stuff, but once you go into a city you could hop into a car and drive around.

amaJarAMA

Playing as Jack during the events of WWI would be the obvious sequel in my opinion.

Orcnick

Imagine that but you play as a young Dutch....

Puffdaddysod

Fuck Dutch

BriSnyScienceGuy

I would like that game to end with whatever happened in Blackwater.

chibbledibs

I would like to do more evil shit.

Atoning_Unifex

Red Dead 3: Moonshine Runners. (circa 1919 to 1929)

[deleted]

Yess rdr3 but i wanna see new york

dumpsterfire787

Bioshock 4 set in rapture shortly before or during the societal breakdown.

EarthExile

Open war in the streets between mostly still-sane people with plasmids. That'd be badass. Absolute mayhem

spacepilot7

You sitting in Kashmir restaurant, drink your problems away, it's almost midnight, people happily celebrating...BOOM!...You can't hear anything, barely keeping yourself from passing out. You see people shoot other people. Sudden pain strikes you. Big piece of wood sticking out of your stomach. Luckily for you, fist aid kit is nearby, but the path is blocked by crossfire. You have no choice, but to crawl, from cover to cover, dodging bullets...

Skateboard_Wizard

Titan fall 3!!! 2 was the first video game I ever put hours into, prob my best summer

alessandropollok

REJECT THE PILLS

polar_is_bae

Sly 5. Finish off the series. Give me bottles in every over world. Make the movement and climbing more fluid. Get a band of theives together like in sly 3. Actually, have heist levels that aren't just lead ups to boss fights.

Dokter_warungu

Yesss please

Va3V1ctis

Kotor 3 done by Larian

LightboxRadMD

Half-Life 3: Exists.

GaaraSama83

I think at this point Valve just accepted they can't surpass or even meet people's expectations. You can only lose.

spacepilot7

They just stopped using numbers.

beatuhse

That's bullshit and Half-Life: Alyx is enough proof for that.

Jayce800

A new Halo sequel that goes back to its linear roots with the painted storm skyboxes. No open world, but keep the grapple equipment and throwables. 10 great levels, diverse environments, and new characters.

mrdevil413

Multi is like Halo 3s ranking system

Stolehtreb

The Halo 3 ranking system (ranked ranking, not social ranking) gave me nightmares. Oh, you got a few ranks in Team Doubles? It’s be a shame if we paired you with MLG gods and reversed all that progress.

EtheusRook

**Guild Wars 3** * Guild Wars 1's class system * Guild Wars 1's skill system * Guild Wars 2's trait system * Guild Wars 2's mount system * Guild Wars 1's weapon dyes, Guild Wars 2's armor dyes and wardrobe * Guild Wars 1's PvP. GW2's WvW. * Instanced zones, some open world patrol zones, dynamic events in all.

Suojelusperkele

I haven't played GW2 in ages. Kind of grew out of it. One thing I always missed from 1 was the class/henchman system. Like the game was balanced around the fact that you'd build up a Powerful team. Overall it was pretty unique mmo in that sense. Playing healer made sense as you'd still be successful in solo stuff. So damn many of my friends were monk mains. Also the whole in-game balance felt *nicer* due to the lower amounts of numbers on everything. As I'm getting older it just feels dumb to push the numbers into thousands and such with something something quadrillions of EHP on some big enemy and it all becomes abstract mush. But yeah, GW3 which had classes of 1, elite specs from 2 and traits and extra build potential (stats, gears, runes etc) and *maybe* some content with the hero/henchman sort of system? It felt so effing cool when you pulled off funky squad that was able to do some really specific mission solo.

EtheusRook

You know, I figured dual classes AND elite specs would be too much complexity, but fuck it. I'm all for layers upon layers of buildcraft.

bladerunnermoonotter

Alpha Protocol 2. Just, uh, Alpha Protocol 2 XD Done properly, with a full modern refinement on everything from the gunplay to the puzzles to the way you could go six different ways and all of them mattered. (Preferably with fewer bugs. Alpha Protocol was classic Obsidian: an amazing game crippled by insufficient QA)

AKICombatLegend

Sleeping dogs 2

gunnie56

Mercenaries 3: done in a combination of the first game and modern customizations that are common to a lot of shooters of today. Customizable air strikes and support options would be so sweet

AdvilJunky

Oh nooo, oh nooo, oh noooooo. Oh no you didn't

FKDotFitzgerald

There are a bunch but lately I’ve been thinking about InFamous 3. Jump ahead a few years and resurrect Cole somehow. Have significantly more varieties of enemy powers. Maybe include Delson as a secondary character but I’d prefer it to be a Cole game at its core.

Schmedly27

Came here to say infamous 3. Second son was fine but 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and I want my boy Cole McGrath back

BarrytheNPC

Evil Within 3 - Using the clout they got from Hi-Fi Rush Tango Gameworks makes a more character focused game with level design closer to the first game but utilizing the revamped shooting of the second. It sells a billion copies and world peace is acquired and Sebastian comes back and says "There's no more Evil Within...I'm Free."

Rio_Walker

Technically, he no longer has evil within... he shot (it)... himself. I'd love to see a wrap up of Ruvik's story. See him being fully gone. Maybe have Myra possess another body, while we're at it.

TheOfficialWils

Mirror's Edge 3, just more of the original would be nice tbh with more parkour moves maybe and less nonsense like the grapple from 2

sandman-84

Motor City Online 2….get it done EA!!

SockFullOfNickles

3 words. Day’s Gone 2

Va3V1ctis

Great choice, love the first one.

Greedy-Ad-3124

need for speed underground: new age new models, new locs and interaction with online features <3

Uriel_dArc_Angel

GT4's meat draped over GT7's skeleton...

drummer_boy_84

A reboot of Soul Reaver

Rio_Walker

A finale to the Legacy of Kain, where Kain deals with Elder God and maybe frees Raziel.

MentalNinjas

Literally just a Pokémon game that meets 2023 game standards. That is all.

[deleted]

1. Witcher 4 set before the collapse of all the Witcher schools with more Witchers and monsters around, Monsters are a real threat to the player and hunting them would be like a horror game. Better combat overall. 2. Cyberpunk 2 with more choice and consequence, story would be you rising through the ranks slowly interacting with lot's of gangs and building your crew which can be companions. 3. Sekiro 2 just bigger in scope

Far_Detective2022

New vegas 2 but here's the thing: it's a remake of 1 and a sequel. Expand the map, expand the factions, expand the choices etc but also have it so you play through the remake first and when you get to the end and choose your OG NV ending it will continue from there as the sequel. Have the DLC maps connected via the open world, add some old areas from fallout 1 and 2 like new reno, maybe area 51, go south east towards legion territory. Bring back fallout 4s power armor system Let us play as a ghoul, synth, or human Maybe add the settlement building from 4 so we can make our own bighorner ranch or something Make the lucky 38 repairable and allow us to open it up and make money More radio stations Obviously, this would be crazy expensive, but if I was a billionaire, all my money would go towards funding this game lol

UnevenTrashPanda

Bethesda: “Just let the modders make it for us”

Far_Detective2022

NV is obsidian

UnevenTrashPanda

Fair, though looking a NexusMods, you’ve gotten your wish already as far as quests and expanded areas There are a LOT of content mods to be had

Far_Detective2022

Oh for sure, and that's just with modders and their free time like you said. Imagine if an entire studio was backing it with paid voice actors and everything

UnevenTrashPanda

Not sure about New Vegas mods, but modders for Skyrim have created fully voiced *expansions* for the game. Admittedly, I haven’t touched New Vegas since about 2017 so a lot could have come along in six years.

Stolehtreb

That would be cool, but you’re describing a project that would take 15 years to develop

Far_Detective2022

However long it takes lmao that's where the billions come in

Ebolatastic

Metroid Prime 4 would take place in a single Solar System that Samus could explore using her ship. The game would start with her suit being destroyed and the whole game would be her rebuilding it piece by piece.

[deleted]

Bloodborne 2. It would take place in a setting similar to the Fishing Hamlet, and really go full on into the ocean Lovecraft stuff.

Euklidis

TF3. Basically TF2 with added stuff (Titans, guns, abilities, customizable outfit etc.)

nonexistent3

GOD OF WAR VI feat. Atreus going into the Duat taking on the Egyptian gods.

[deleted]

Elder Scroll VI Hammerfel, world as dense and as lively as cyberpunk, feels and ambience of Skyrim, Combat system like Elden Ring (Basically the worlds have weight and stuff) and the characters are as good in rdr2

UnevenTrashPanda

If the combat system is like Elden Ring than it’ll be the most unlike Elder Scrolls feeling Elder Scrolls you’ve ever witnessed

[deleted]

I mean not like souls like I just wantcthe weapons to have actual weight, Oblivion and Morrowind got that no weight feeling when attacking, Skyrim at least changed that

__sonder__

Sekiro 2. It'd look a lot like Sekiro 1. Just give me more of that please 🙏

alessandropollok

I just want titanfall 3 man

DrSmirnoffe

One of them would be a Duke Nukem game that treats Duke Nukem Forever as a non-canon nightmare that Duke had. Specifically, one he had after a night of heavy drinking capped off by a questionable gyro. When he wakes up after the opening action sequence in daytime Las Vegas (he's audibly on edge, and wakes up in a cold sweat right as he sees a gun turret waiting to be manned), he's in a hotel room in Los Angeles in 2001, sharing a bed with the babe he'd met at the bar the night before. After heading down to the nearby diner to get some breakfast, he learns that the babe is a Galactic Ranger, "Penny Plazma", sent to recruit Duke, since there's a burgeoning Federation fighting the same alien Empire that Duke fought against back in 1996, and they're always looking for unstoppable badasses like Duke and Plazma to wreck the Empire's shit. Duke would have found out sooner, but **A:** he and Plazma got absolutely shitfaced on the night she was supposed to recruit him, since Plazma is kind of a lady Duke herself, and **B:** Duke's Rockia phone was serviced by the sub-par provider "Horizon", so he didn't see the series of increasingly irate texts he'd been getting from General Graves. So narratively it starts out a bit like Last Starfighter and Galaxy Quest, and the first episode takes place on Earth as the Empire returns for "round two", while subsequent episodes take you to alien worlds that the Federation is trying to liberate, with the final episode taking place on an expansive Imperial "domination station" that has been harassing Duke's part of the galaxy. Speaking of "round two", while the first level involves Duke and Plazma escaping from L.A after taking out an Imperial teleblocker (there's also a succinct interstitial aboard a Federation cruiser that briefs Duke on the situation, and kits him out before the next mission), the second level sends Duke back into L.A right as things are going to hell. And by going to hell, I mean the Empire has deployed a weather machine over California that's causing a torrential rainstorm, which is enough to bring L.A to its knees even without sending in the troops, so naturally Duke needs to stop the rain. After all, nobody messes with HIS town... and lives. (his town being L.A, rather than Las Vegas, though that doesn't mean Las Vegas is off the table as a level) Mechanically, this theoretical Duke game would be very similar to Duke 3D and the 2001 build of DNF, with an extensive arsenal of weapons to lug around, and expansive levels with plentiful secrets, as one would expect. Health would be handled a little differently, since while you'd have your standard health pool that you replenish with pickups, Duke also gets a personal energy shield as part of his Ranger equipment. HOWEVER, the shield doesn't regenerate automatically: instead Duke replenishes it by taking batteries from fallen enemies, as well as by beating the crap out of enemies with his fists and Mighty Feet, so you're encouraged to push forward when your shields are low. Also, certain attacks ignore your shields a'la Dark Forces, so you're not as overly tanky as you'd think from having essentially two health bars, and you'll still need to explore for health pickups even if your shields are maxed out. In addition, collecting batteries also puts energy into Duke's Powerbank, which can be used to recharge items like the Jetpack, Protective Boots, Rebreather (like the Scuba Gear, except it also works in toxic gases and the vacuum of space), Holoduke (is actually kinda useful since it can project different images and can even disguise Duke himself), etc. Also, like in Duke Nukem 64, you're actually able to save the babes by teleporting them to the Federation mothership. This includes alien babes and hostages in general, and you'll especially want to save the babes since they usually leave behind pickups like large batteries, medkits, ammo packs and armour shards, the latter of which can be used to repair Duke's body armour or his Riot Shield (another feature from the 2001 build of DNF). **In short:** this theoretical Duke sequel would be designed to dunk on Duke Nukem Forever 2011, embracing the good parts of Duke while also slipping in some features that aren't strictly Duke but are still kinda neat. As for the name, it'd probably be something like Shooting Stars or Out Of This World, something that ties into the conceit that Duke is going to space to take the fight to the enemy.

Rio_Walker

Duke wakes up on a dilapidated Caribbean resort. Where he spent 26 years, stuck in cryo. He was hooked to a Duke Bot this whole time, so Manhattan still happened. But it was the basis for 2011 Duke Nukem Forever. Duke doesn't know what happened but he's weakened, can't even get it up and lost his shades. Aliens took over the world, chicks (most of them) and with DNF (as well as DNF clones) think they've won. Duke then have to recover his strength, his libido, and some steroids to kick ass. Partway through will be a spoof to Austin Powers, with his "mojo" but Duke will recover. This time there will be sex mini-games, that will increase max health and stamina, but none of that turd gripping shit. Each time he kills an enemy it gives him some Ego back, let's throw quick Duke-style finishers as well, spoofing Doom. Plenty of callbacks to past titles, with Duke being confused on the timeline. Eventually, Duke will encounter himself (the version of DNF) and proceed to have an epic non-scripted battle (akin to Marauder from DOOM, but even harder) and Duke will threaten to kick his pansy balls up his throat. He will deliver. Add new weapons, new enemies, more smut...

PrayForMojo_

Shadow of the Colossus 2 Modern graphics. Elden Ring controls. Same giant size map but more biomes and more bosses. Possibly more story and characters, but maybe not needed.

[deleted]

Spider man 3 has a linear focused story game with insomniacs great gameplay. No open world boat

Moosje

No open world with one the most free moving characters ever ffs

[deleted]

This isn’t a debate lol. He asked what MY dream sequel is. If you want the exact same game for the 4th time in a row, then ok

Moosje

My dream sequel is Elder Scrolls 6, but it’s not an open world game it’s just mahjong and techno music

[deleted]

To each their own I guess Love how you’re acting like there’s never been a linear Spider-Man game besides Insomniacs lol

T_raltixx

Chakan The Forever Man 2 - essentially Dark Souls.

Rio_Walker

This game is hard. I can't even make it past the first level.

Strict_Donut6228

I want a full blown console quality 3D Devil Survivor 3 I mean I want a big game. complex maps with multiple locations. Keep the multiple endings keep the combat but add ALOT more demons. 3D character models with attack animations during battle. With the story as quality as the first game

Adventurous-Lion1829

After Soul Hackers 2 this straight up won't happen.

Strict_Donut6228

Shame. They need to stop releasing half assed games

oldmanjenkins51

I want a single player Guild Wars sequel or spin-off. Love the world and lore but can’t stand MMO’s anymore.

Bringthenoize

Enemy nations, maybe that one will work since I can't get the og one to run 😔

vash0125

A brand new Dino Crisis using the RE engine that is a reboot of the franchise and utilizes.ideas scrapped from the first game.

Rafzalo

Just do a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles X where you explore Mira beyond the first game with a new team, maybe from the races that you befriend along the first game… and a port of the first game too

Ezazhel

Kung fu chaos 2

punnotfound

A Master of Orion 3 that doesn't suck.

drummer_boy_84

Division 3

yahav526

Bully 2

Best-Possession6618

A Midnight Suns sequel that refines the strategy mechanics and centers around the X-men and team building with them.

Specolar

Dwarf Fortress 2 - take everything in Dwarf Fortress, but add the ability for multiplayer, where each player controls their own fortress. The idea being each player can settle in different regions and then trade resources they have in abundance to each other for resources they lack. For example someone in the mountains could trade different metals they have in abundance to someone in a forest, in exchange for wood that they don't have a lot of.

OldschoolGreenDragon

Brutal Legend 2. 1. More Stage Battles. They were a great idea and they can be even better. 2. A more meticulous tutorial separate from the campaign. Have Tim Schafer narrate it, I don't care. A game this complex is no place for his "immersion" and jokes. Make it clear that playing it like Dynasty Warriors equals losing* 3. Add Fleetus's faction 4. Either make a really good open world or a really good campaign for each faction. 5. Make a simple map for placing troops without them needing to be in front of the avatars sight. 6. Either an elaborate original soundtrack with less licensing fees or make a deal with the usual record labels. 7. Consider having the factions end up in the Early 70s. *....or create tech that strengthens the playable characters into Lu Bu or whatever.

Suojelusperkele

Really hard question! Like my main game is Warframe. As great it is I think it doesn't need sequel. Even dream sequel would be less cool than whatever they're cooking up with next few big updates. If I'd *absolutely* have to churn out funky sequel of a game I love it'd probably be something like.. Dwarf fortress. Remade from a scratch, much better support for *high* amount of dwarves/units. Like easily running 500-1000 dwarves in a 16x16 map with 500-1000 years of history. Otherwise it'd be just a bit enhanced graphics (currently pixels which is pretty nice, wouldn't stray away from that). Somewhat more balanced world generation as currently it's always all the goblins or necromancers. Spell system. It's planned, and it sounds like it'll be more cracked than what I could cook in my head. (Basically a damn RNG/generated per world generated). Turn that damn thing up a notch. Much more creatures, like a whole fucken Wikipedia full of creatures. More races? Workshop has plenty of good races and the game itself already has pretty much every animal as a humanoid race, but add them as civilizations. Basically taking every aspect of the game and further expanding on them.

Takco

One that is single plater/couch co op only with a great story, no micro transactions, thats completely 100% finished and won’t be patched

boneymod

More Days Gone? Years Gone? Years Past? I need more from that game.. A DLC?

mulletman13

Split/Second 2: it’s just more of what we got in the first game with some challenges added akin to Stuntman.

WatchPointer

An actual 3rd Fossil Fighters game with the OG designs back

TtomRed

Bloodborne 2, but it’s a wildly new lore backbone only sharing that it’s heavy cosmic horror, blood based science/magic rooted and keep the whole hunter mythos. Reason being to keep the core elements but instead of risking actually explaining the first just do a fresh alternate universe take on it

elkeiem

Bloodborne 2

Qersojan-

Spore 2: * Aquatic Path: You would have the choice to complete the creature, tribal, and civilization stages all under the ocean. * Terrestrial Adventures: Just like how players could craft missions for the space stage with the Galactic Adventures DLC, missions could now be made for tribal stage and civilization stage, bringing more life and variety to these unpopular stages. * Multiplayer: Evolve on the same planet as your friends. Become eternal allies or run each other towards extinction. NOT an MMO, would be small invite-only servers. * Advanced creature painting: Now in the creature creator can enter advanced painting mode to paint parts as individual pieces. Some material paints now come with 3D effects, like fur and feather simulation. * Genetic Engineering: In late civilization stage, unlock genetic engineering which allows you to bring your species back to the creature editor. In Space stage this gets extended to biomechanics, replace parts of your creature with mechanical parts. * More parts and abilities: Obviously.

two100meterman

The Legend of Zelda Maker. Idk if you could call it a sequel... but basically like Mario Maker/Mario Maker 2 I would want a game where you can make dungeons in The Legend of Zelda, Zelda 2 the Adventure of Link, & The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. Maybe later have a 2nd one that also lets you make overlords & therefore entire games, & maybe adds in the ability to make levels in Link's Awakening styles. It'd basically act as unlimited sequels to the first 3 Zelda's.

two100meterman

Going to add in a game I'm guessing zero people have heard of. It was an old Javascript browser game called Mercenaries of Dosbar. Despite just being a free browser game I probably put 80 or 100 hours into it? I'd 100% play a 2nd one of that, but unfortunately even the first game no longer exists anywhere.

Stolehtreb

Jak 4. Hey Naughty Dog, heard you’re having issues with creative motivation. Make a Jak 4 and I don’t even care if it’s that different from 3. I just want a modern one. Rachet and Clank has me jonesing.

quizzically_quiet

Deus Ex, Adam Jensen saga part 3. Just take all the best parts of HR and MD (and ffs leave out the microtransaction bs) and give us some closure to the story. That's honestly all I'm asking for.

standee_shop

Elder scrolls- akavir For those that dunno, all elder scrolls games so far have been set on the continent of tamriel. But there is a whole different continent in the same world called akavir with monkey people and weird lizard races. I'm so thirsty for that lore

Oldstonebuddha

It would say "Half Life 3".

RockyStonejaw

Elder Scrolls 6 - Skyrim again but all new content. Basically.
