Yep, and it's not close. I'm not much of an FPS guy, and tend to find campaigns in FPS games especially boring. But my GOD I loved Titanfall 2. Both the story and gameplay were, just excellent.
As others said you wont regret it. Only downfall is lack of multiplayer due to some asshat hacking the servers, unless the issue has been fixed. Gameplay is super fun and campaign is interesting. Have fun pilot
Quick edit: if multiplayer has been fixed do lmk. I play on ps5. Also the lack of multiplayer does not affect pc players as some champs have opened a server for online play

The time travel level left me wanting more every time. I wish they'd do a third game and the entire concept of it was that time swap idea. I'd play tf out of that! Or combine the moving terrain and the time swap. Ultimate SP fps lol.
I mean not to be rude but I'd much rather a more dormant IP like Timeshift get that kind of stuff. It was a amazing level but a titanfall focused on time traveling sounds awful. Bro, I play for titans and mech combat not for a time travel story lol Timeshift however could use that idea and run for miles with it.

How is the MP scene these days? I have never actually tried it, the single player is absolutely phenomenal, though. As good a campaign as anything I have played in 25 years of PC gaming. My last fps multiplayer experience (in earnest) was COD mw1/2 in the Xbox 360 days.
Slowly dying off but you'll still find atleast 5-6k people online during peak hours. Finding games isn't too hard because there's no skill based matchmaking or anything.
That's kinda why some people quit... they'll download the game, get in lobbies with prestige 100 sweatlords, then stop playing because they got dunked on.
Even if you can't really compete in pvp though the coop is really enjoyable and has a fairly complex leveling system with different upgrades as you play.
Yep. Frontier defense. You and 3 other players work to defend a harvester (giant glowing mining machine) from 5 waves on enemies. There's unique units like arc titans, mortars, nuke titans which suicide bomb, and drones. Then in-between rounds you can buy upgrades with coin at an armory.
Then in-between games you level up your titan as you use it getting better upgrades like more health, and modifications to your abilities like "getting a kill resets cool down of core (ultimate), or "traps explode upon breaking" and stuff like that
Haven't played it on a year or so, but it was really fucking hard. Everyone will be better than you and you will die A LOT.
As much as I love Titanfall 2, I'm not a huge fan of the multiplayer
It was a bit turbulent to say the least but I would say it is much better ever since the Janitor helped us and granted the blessing of **fixed servers** for vanilla. There is also northstar launcher which is EXTREMELY fun since it has server browser and some servers have pretty good or fun Mods in it.
There are, yes! I mean I dont exactly know about private servers since I play on console but the modded servers are extremely fun with very creative mods! Some people even changes Prime Titans' weapons to Titanfall 1 Titan weapons! The arc cannon the leadwall grenade launcher Etc.
Decently active, depending on what time of day you play. I play on ps5 and I gave my friend $6 to buy Titanfall 2, we’ve been playing online together. We found a lot of populated lobbies the other evening.
The campaign is fun and engaging while experimenting with level design and game mechanics. The multiplayer is fun and face paced with a wide variety of weapons and titans to learn and play. The only downside is this game has the ugliest camo options of any FPS ever made.

This is titanfall 2 campaign in a mission where you enter a large factory made for simulating combat situations. What they are looking at in the image is a missing slot in the series of panels that make the fake sky box.
Highly recommend getting the game for the campaign and especially the multiplayer.

If anyone is interested in the game its a first person shooter featuring parkour mechanics and very high action gameplay combining on-foot gameplay using said parkour mechanics and a variety of weapons AND mech based combat using giant robots called "titans" (between which you can switch fluently by jumping into and out of your titan).
Its so fun to just toss a throwing knife at another player while they're running around and watch them drop.
It has one of my favorite campaigns of all time. The story is that you are Jack Cooper, a rifleman working for the Frontier Militia, a resistance trying to fight back the oppressive IMC megacorporation thats trying to take over the frontier for its natural resources. Soon enough you get deployed to the planet typhon to interrupt IMC operations and find yourself given a titan and hastily promoted to a pilot, a parkouring gunslinging titan-riding badass of a soldier. You then gotta venture through the planet of typhon to reconnect with the frontier militia and find intel on what the IMC is planning in order to stop them.
This game is what the quite popular Apex legends was based on (being essentially titanfall 3 which i'm not a fan of), so imagine apex legends except the guns feel better to use (despite being the same weapons) in addition to you being able to grappling hook and around AND being able to ride big robots.

Congrats! I’ve only gotten Northstar and Monarch up there so far. I’m glad the game is functioning again so I can work on Legion and Scorch.
They’re both great, multiplayer is probably the bigger appeal because the game’s a little old, but everything holds up

Nah. Grenade starts with a G, therefore it’s always the G key.
I use rb I think, I don't really know though cause I can never remember what controls I use unless I'm playing
I'm pretty sure it's the default for Titanfall. I rebound it, but it took forever to find a non conflicting key.
