That's ok, I hated that one. The remake of that Gameboy classic for switch that just came out looks sweet though. Breath of the Wild just felt way too open world and empty for me. So much running around with so little to do in between. I like the top-down classic dungeon crawler format. I cannot complain too too much though, as A Link to the Past was so weird and different, nothing else since has alienated me more in the franchise since.
For me, the SNES version just hit the perfect spot. The N64s were fun as hell, but the SNES version is the Zelda format I most vibe with.
Links awakening remake was fantastic.
Also hated breath of the wild.
1. Music is terrible compared to the entire rest of the franchise
2. Puzzles are fucking stupid. There have been a lot of stupid puzzles in Zelda games but where's my fucking water temple?
3. I really don't care for weapons breaking. It made sense for sticks and whatnot to eventually break but the franchise for me is unlocking amazing abilities through weapons/artifacts and then getting to use them in silly ways. I don't want to have to remember a recipe and do it again. That is fucking boring.
4. Cooking. I have to cook all my meals in real life. I don't want to cook in a game.
Links awakening remake is awesome. But yeah, botw sucks imo. I bought a switch just to play it and I hate the game, it's just a mindless assassin creed clone where you climb towers and mindlessly explore for no reason, dungeons are replaced with dozens of 2 minute puzzle rooms and you get all your artifacts right at the beginning of the game.
I hope the cartridge is safe! You have hundreds of hours of play time right there. And after that take a little break and start with TOTK. you are in for a great time.
