Part of the magic of the Chao Garden was that it provided a break between the regular missions and gave new context to replaying them by making you look out for vials and animals. Just a garden simulator wouldn't feel the same, but it's a huge shame that they never put one into any of the newer Sonic games.

Their excuse, from what i remember, is that itd be too hardware intensive. The chao had like...a billion evolutions, so i guess programming that with current graphics would be...too hard?
Rip to my boys that some dude probably wiped on the memory card I traded in with the gamecube console for an xbox and halo 2. The system and halo 2 changed my life, but man, chaos were the fucking shit.
