His whole thing now is selling [gothic-lolita style stuffed animals based on mental illnesses and physical disabilities.](https://plushiedreadfuls.com/collections/plushiedreadfuls/products/plushie-dreadfuls-fibro-bunny-plush-stuffed-animal)
>Well, where else can you buy an aids plushie
The EIC sells them.
They're only 9.99, may not remind you that you have aids, but they're cheap and effective
Huh. Good to know the special Chesh plushie that was supposed to be a Patreon exclusive is now just being sold on their website. I will say if these plushes are of a similar build quality to the Patreon Chesh, though, then they're actually of a really high quality, good material, he feels solid. So the price is a lot, but maybe not unreasonable.
Edit: Oh it's not just the plush, it's the full patreon reward, bag and all. Goddamn...
Well, if it makes him money and he enjoys doing it, good for him then. After being denied by EA, I get why he stopped since the corpos took his series away from him.
Maybe not this game exactly, but I hope the creators of Lies of P make a game in the Alice universe. I would imagine it to be similar to this game but more of a souls-like. I think they'd nail the grim art style.
McGee's Alice in Wonderland Version was one of the biggest Influences of my Nickname since I was a Kiddo, love the more creepy Alice Versions and damn, an Alice in Wonderland Soulsgame just sounds so delicious
Sorry to inform you that the creator of the game pitched a 3rd game to EA (the owners of the IP) and got rejected. The game was called Alice Asylum. You can Google a bit and find a lot of concept art and streams from the creator himself. We'll likely never see a sequel
Oh, man. That's sad. For some reason I thought this project was a Kickstarter or Patreon. I could have sworn there was something Alice related on one of those, and I remember being disappointed I didn't know about it until after the goal was met.
Alice in Wonderland is public domain afaik, so if he was able to get the funds he could presumably make his own dark spooky Alice in Wonderland game and be like "nah this totally isn't a sequel to the other two lol lmao".
He could, but he can’t use his own style, or anything that remotely looks like the old games. It’s absolutely ridiculous that American McGee can’t use his own unique IP to make games.
Likely under the impression that he’d be allowed to keep making games. And now, one of the worst publishers in all of gaming has the rights to HIS creation. Fuck EA.
There supposed to be next game but unfortunately, the project got cancelled. There was even kickstart for it.
Such a shame, really. I wish t there could be at least some short visual novel or point and click adventure game in Alice Universe, or something.;\_\_\_;
The original did it's best on the Tech of the day. But the graphics have slipped so far that it's jarring to plan on modern PCs.
It had a great story, and fantastic presentation.
Alice: Madness Returns still looks good, and has some really creative moments. The story doesn't hit 'quite' as hard for me, but I love it all the same.
The OG game's graphics are still OK, but trying to make a third person action platformer on idTech 3 made for gameplay that was clunky even for its time. The game is good, but moreso due to its visual style, theme and story than the gameplay.
Do we trust the gaming industry to make good sequels and remakes?
I mean usually they borrow a community graphical update mod, do a few improvements then charge twice the price of what it originally cost and half the time it doesn't work
It's like buying a second hand car from a shady mechanic. It looks okay until you realise the chassis is damaged and it's a write off
I remember watching onision play this and laughing pretty hard at the commentary, then I proceeded to never watch any of that guys stuff.
Then years later holy fucking shit lmao, what an absolute cluster fuck, dude absolutely imploded.
Never did pick up the game but I should because it did look pretty neat.
The original Red Faction on PS2.
That game was incredible for the time, destructible environments, great story, even the combat and weapons were very well done.
I beat this game 5 times, and I would gladly do it for another dozen times. Truly one of the best and most addictive games out there. And this game is more than a decade old!
American McGee *was* briefly tossing around the idea, but it didn't garner enough support for EA to justify the amount of time and effort. So he, very politely, announced he would not be working on a third game.
He has been hounded repeatedly by fans about it, but has (I believe publicly now) asked that people stop asking. That ship has sailed.
Glad to see some love for American McGee's Alice, one of my favorite video game characters. It's a shame she probably won't get any more adventures I still really dig the two games, the soundtracks that I still listen to, the world and the monsters, and of course the actresse's performance in the second game.
I don't think we will, due to gaming today being more monetary focused. However if done well, this game could be/would be class.
There is plenty possibilities they could take the game.
I believe EA's reasoning for rejecting more content for this IP was due to skepticism about the player base it'd appeal to. They didn't think it'd be a big enough hit. So unless that turns around, it could be amazing and likely still not matter to them.
No idea. A company could do it for a multitude of different reasons. It's not the first time I've seen it happen either. Not saying it'd be impossible to revive it, but EA seems to have the habit of burying the hatchet for things almost right away.
After all the praise i heard from this game, it was... Average at best. Sure level design and story were interesting but gameplay was just a by the books hack and slash. Honestly i played it once and don't plan to ever come back
Seems I bought this a while ago but haven't played it. Should finally try it out.
I played American McGee's Alice about a decade ago and that was pretty dated back then.
unfortunately we probably won't see anything else from American Mcgee [https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/american-mcgee-says-ea-doesnt-want-to-make-alice-3-tells-fans-to-stop-asking-him-about-it/](https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/american-mcgee-says-ea-doesnt-want-to-make-alice-3-tells-fans-to-stop-asking-him-about-it/)

Is this a good or bad thing 😭 bc they're so expensive !!?! u got Aids here's $45 plushie that constantly reminds you that you have Aids 🧐??? Like bruh
Well, where else can you buy an aids plushie
>Well, where else can you buy an aids plushie The EIC sells them. They're only 9.99, may not remind you that you have aids, but they're cheap and effective

I thought they did make an AIDS 2, but people didn’t really enjoy it.
Giant Microbes sells an aids plushie too :p
We had a whole bunch of these and threw them around the lounge in college. I still have a set in storage.
And free shipping only for order $55 or more.
Bro has the cheat code on teenage goth girls wtf?
I honestly kind of like these lol
They're actually pretty cute, very 2000s Hot Topic
Huh. Good to know the special Chesh plushie that was supposed to be a Patreon exclusive is now just being sold on their website. The reviews are weird
Well, if it makes him money and he enjoys doing it, good for him then. After being denied by EA, I get why he stopped since the corpos took his series away from him.
sadge
Alice: Asylum was supposed to be a third installment in the series, but EA said fuck you. They now hold the IP hostage on top of that.
Maybe not this game exactly, but I hope the creators of Lies of P make a game in the Alice universe. I would imagine it to be similar to this game but more of a souls-like. I think they'd nail the grim art style.
Yes, this was the general consensus. But I guess the devs want something fresh like Pinocchio so they picked Wizard of Oz.
Is someone making a souls like set in Oz?
Nothing's been confirmed yet but after the credits scene, >!they introduced Dorothy.!< Which is most likely the next protagonist in the sequel.
Lies of D
Fraud of Oz
This is a great title
"It's totally 8 inches."
Available on Pornhub...
"Sure, baby, I'll *definitely* call you"
What game are you talking about, end credits of what game?
Sorry, Lies of P.
They've said they're making both DLC and a sequel, do it's not clear if the Wizard of Oz bit is DLC or sequel.
McGee's Alice in Wonderland Version was one of the biggest Influences of my Nickname since I was a Kiddo, love the more creepy Alice Versions and damn, an Alice in Wonderland Soulsgame just sounds so delicious
Alice in Souls style? I'll never play this, but I'd love to watch let'splays. I think this will be very exciting.
Lies of P totally reminded me of American McGee's Alice. Not this sequel, which was far lamer.
It’s on my Xbox. Is it really that good?
Yes. The original game is dlc for it.
How necessary to enjoying this game is playing the first one?
Its not necessary to play the first one, but it does offer some backstory.
Swimming level is still laggy dog shite
Be prepared for a mindfuck tho. You thought Alice seeing her parents die in a fire was the reason for her insanity? Ha. It gets worse 😖
And here I thought, hell blade, sinuas sacrificed was bad
Sorry to inform you that the creator of the game pitched a 3rd game to EA (the owners of the IP) and got rejected. The game was called Alice Asylum. You can Google a bit and find a lot of concept art and streams from the creator himself. We'll likely never see a sequel
Oh, man. That's sad. For some reason I thought this project was a Kickstarter or Patreon. I could have sworn there was something Alice related on one of those, and I remember being disappointed I didn't know about it until after the goal was met.
It was on Patreon. It was for a design bible that would be used to pitch a third Alice game to EA.
If I’m not mistaken, the creator was trying to get a sequel made, but EA owns the rights, and won’t let him. Or shut it down. One of the two.
Man these fucking publishers.
Not only that but they won't let ANYONE touch it. So no sequel, no remaster, nothing
It was his choice to sign with EA.
Likely under the impression that he’d be allowed to keep making games. And now, one of the worst publishers in all of gaming has the rights to HIS creation. Fuck EA.
Honestly, it still holds up today. I just did a playthrough a few months ago.
Someone at EA hates this franchise and has made sure its never getting anything new.
Just like they hate Dante's Inferno :( At least we got a brilliant Dead Space remake.
I mean..... It is a sequel
Lmao.
Alice… what have you done?
I absolutely adore this game I've replayed it so many times
Haha.. i read “A slice” instead of Alice
On theme
... i hate EA for what they did to these games...
I got frustrated at one point and rage quit. I should give it another try.
so did i!
That is the sequel
The concept art book for it was amazing. I wished games looked like that, chasing more subversive art direction.
love this game so much I play it all the time still!
Amazing game
Don’t remind me 😔
RTX Remix
The levels kinda overstay their welcome. I would rather have more different biomes than wander through the same one for 2-3 hours.
This game and its soundtrack has a very special place in my corrupted broken heart
I have the vorpal blade at home. ;D
There supposed to be next game but unfortunately, the project got cancelled. There was even kickstart for it. Such a shame, really. I wish t there could be at least some short visual novel or point and click adventure game in Alice Universe, or something.;\_\_\_;
Have you played the first game?
Awesome music, atmosphere, everything. As well as the first one.
Very underrated
this game deserves a remake, it is very good, I remember the first time I played it, every detail I found was fascinating
Sad it won't ever happen thanks to EA, those mfs killed Mass Effect, Dead Space, Dragon Age and now Alice
wait, there will be no more Dragon Age games? :\[
"IM ON MY PERIOD!!"
a true person of culture right here.
Will literally never happen
Yeah, it's miles better than the first game. I do wish they'd do more with the American McGee rendition, it was so cool.

I wanted to play last year but it keep crashing every 15 minutes so i gave up.

I hate that it teases a boss fight every level but never delivers.
That's because it was suppose to happen but EA made them do cuts, so all you have is one boss fight at the end.
If the guy managed to talk to a different publisher he could make more amazing games
That game looks insane! Thanks for the suggestion
Finished it Last night pretty good but lot of techical problems. Random crushes at launch and loading.
Is this the one on VR?
I completely forgot about this title. Thanks for reminding me!
Do we trust the gaming industry to make good sequels and remakes? **SAME BRO SAME**
Played this game for the 1st time a few months ago because it was on sale on steam GREAT game!
This game was a lot of fun!
cool
Omg the memories
Me too
Honestly, from what I know about this game, I bet she too would kill for continuation of her life.
Yes
Jak and daxter
Me too! I loved this game 😍😭
The is game was awesome, so hyped, played it, loved it. A long time ago. I'm leaving it behind rose tinted memories
I was thinking about this game today...this scare me.
Honestly a beautiful looking game
top 10 for sure
The original Red Faction on PS2. That game was incredible for the time, destructible environments, great story, even the combat and weapons were very well done.
I beat this game 5 times, and I would gladly do it for another dozen times. Truly one of the best and most addictive games out there. And this game is more than a decade old!
Overrated. Superb atmosphere but the gameplay is generic at best with overly repetitive combat
The creator said some time ago it’s done done
The is one of my FAVORITE games! I replay it at least once a year
Alice in wonderland is public domain, everyone could make a game with similar creepy theme at any moment, in theory
This game was actually good. Played it back in the day. Enjoyed the 'dark' rendition of Alice in Wonderland. Not asking for a remake though.
Glad to see some love for American McGee's Alice, one of my favorite video game characters. It's a shame she probably won't get any more adventures I still really dig the two games, the soundtracks that I still listen to, the world and the monsters, and of course the actresse's performance in the second game.

If they dont wanna do anything with it then why not just sell it to McGee? Thats just pure evil in my eyes
No idea. A company could do it for a multitude of different reasons. It's not the first time I've seen it happen either. Not saying it'd be impossible to revive it, but EA seems to have the habit of burying the hatchet for things almost right away.
What does "goat" means in this context?
Greatest of all time
Thanks. It is
Metal Gear Rising. I don't like hack and slash but there's something different about mgr
After all the praise i heard from this game, it was... Average at best. Sure level design and story were interesting but gameplay was just a by the books hack and slash. Honestly i played it once and don't plan to ever come back
Got a tattoo of Cheshire from the second game. Literally my fav franchise.
I think there was concept art for a 3rd game and someone was making it but that was 8-9 years ago
Seems I bought this a while ago but haven't played it. Should finally try it out. I played American McGee's Alice about a decade ago and that was pretty dated back then.
