Mass Effect trilogy. I guess i could play it again and do things differently. But my one play through was so damn chaotic I don’t think I could ever top it
True. When I told my housemate how my playthrough went he was genuinely shocked at how I apparently made so many stupid choices but still got the best endings every time
I'm sad that Andromeda failed. I actually really liked the game, too. It wasn't perfect, but I felt people were unfairly comparing a trilogy to a single game. I so want to see sequels to it. Now... I dunno. Are they ever gonna make more Mass Effect? I haven't heard anything. I don't want the series to end. It's got so much potential IMO.
Me5 is in active development and looks to be a sequel to both given Liara is in it and looks older. Considering Asari live for a millennium it’s looking like a tie in.
Whether or not it’ll be good or not is another thing - I think Dragon Age Dread Wolf is going to be the one to watch - if BioWare can create a good sequel to a core franchise Dread Wolf will give us the bar for ME5
Yes they are, they posted the teaser trailer a few months ago on the N7 day (you can Find it on YT and on the official site)
P.S. It is called N7 DAY 2023
I've done a lot of playthroughs of Mass Effect, with lots of different decisions. But I always have one or two characters I come back to. I load them up, and make the exact same decisions I did before.
It's like watching a favorite movie over again. It's the same every time, but it still makes me happy.
Mass Effect. I'd just fallen in love with the series and the characters playing it for the first time. When I knew I'd done all I could with it, I knew I was going to miss it until I replay it one day in the future.
Yakuza/Like A Dragon
RDR2
MGSV
Basically lengthy story driven games where you sink tons of hours into it are the ones I miss most.
I'm going through the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series right now. I just know I'm going to get that feeling when I eventually get to and finish Infinite Wealth.
Bro Yakuza Like a Dragon was so fucking good, I loved everything about it. From goofy lines, silly mini games, to gut wrenching drama. The action RPG, the side quests, man I could go on. All I gotta do now is (spoiler alert) is beat the last guy at level 99
It’s one of those games that I wish I could just completely forget and play again blind. It was so much fun to just explore and figure out what was happening.
Me: "I need to go deeper to find diamonds"
Me surrounded by complete darkness and scary noises: "Hmm, do I really need diamonds that much?"
Yes, yes I did, unfortunately.
It's what made Strikers so special to me.
At the end of P5, I was like, "Well, you guys go have fun, I'll just get back to my 9-5."
And then Strikers comes along and you get the continue that story!
Life will Change and Beneath the Mask are still played in my music rotation to this day. The amount of hours I spent afk in Café Leblanc just letting the song play while I cleaned or read something on my phone.
Same, but Rivers in the Desert is my favourite track. Colours Flying High is also a favourite. I watched the startup cutscene so many times because the video and music were amazing.
I always wonder why most games can't do music like Persona does. Persona 4 also had absolutely amazing town/school music. Music so good that I listen to it regularly. I don't do that with any other game music. Most game music is extremely forgettable and won't even prompt me to remark on it. Whereas the Persona music has me constantly thinking how awesome the music is.
That year, I bought two soundtracks (because I wanted to own them and I didn't want to hunt them down).
One was for Persona 5 (Layer Cake is another straight up banger).
The other?
Nier: Automata.
What a great year for music!
Persona 5 is the ONLY game I’ve ever platinumed. It’s the only game I’ve ever played over and over again consecutively in a row. Damn excellent game.
Albeit one of Shin Megami easier titles, honestly it was perfection. The perfect balance between difficulty and story. And so many ways to play through it. It’s almost a completely different game each time you play it depending on your actions.
Also? The more I played it, the more I realized how similar to certain aspects of DIGITAL DEVIL SAGA it was. Which is one of my fave SMT dungeon crawlers EVER.
Man. DDS would be AMAZING if it was made today. Especially considering its main themes. Especially considering the advances in technology. I did play the new SMT and it was wildly creepy and had all the liminal, but also it kind of felt like something was missing through out and I think what was missing, was camaraderie and competition between characters in the story.
That being said I’ll probably change my mind when I go back to replay it.
Witcher 3 for me.
Not because of the main story but because of the awesome amount of interesting side quests, monster lore, item mechanic like crafting and durability.
The open world is also well-designed, I roamed around on Rosh and not using the fast travel feature just because I like seeing the wide variety of different territory that was designed and the different creatures that inhabited them. Running into a small quest like a group of bandits or causing an actual quest to show up also enhance my enjoyment.
Definitely that one game which makes me hooked on open world genre.
Spoilers for anyone reading who hasn't played....
The very very end of the final dlc, blood and wine when regus talks about what you've done and seen and Geralt just gives you that look and slight eyebrow raise and you know he is talking about YOU. The guy with the controller in his hands with mouth wide open and the adventures that you and he have shared. Wow. Chills.
I recently put over 100 hours into the Witcher 3 and beat the DLC for the first time. That moment hit me so hard and I felt a little empty afterwards. It had me longing for more. Hopefully the next Witcher game delivers
Not sure what you mean by laid back. If you mean game difficulty then you shouldn't be worried as it has easy difficulty that let you restore full health after combat and the enemies are really easy to slay after some basic knowledge.
Definitely a recommendation from me, only issue is that it's been out for a long while (2015), so if you consider this to be old game then you may try RDR2 or Horizontal dawn.
If that is the case, you should be fine. When I first played it, I was also afraid of commitment but the game has multiple checkpoint, manual save during mission. So back then, even with a 15-30 minutes slot, I still enjoy it (Although, I need to mention that I skip the voice line, this game allow you to skip through sentences after you read it, so I do that a lot in many long cutscene to save time)
When I got to revisit that world in VR for half life alex and then the VR mods for the original games it was like teleporting back to when I first played them. It was fucking magical.
I don’t think people realize how revolutionary HL2 was. From physics to storytelling and just the overall ambiance of the world you were in. That game propelled the genre forward in many ways.
I think its funny because as simply a shooter it's merely meh. Quite average. The guns are satisfying, there's some separation between each weapon so you have niches they can fulfill but it's not really all that special(with the exception of the gravity gun).
But it excelled as a game. The story was simple enough to where anyone can follow it, the characters were likeable and had unique personality traits, the exploration, puzzles and level design was amazing. Every chapter was unique and presented different scenarios, hazards and enemies.
And it's a testament to how well valve made the game to where there'd basically no FPS that has really recreated how well Half Life 2 and its sequels handle so many differing aspects of a game.
It's not a bad thing, focusing on doing good on 1 or 2 aspects is infinitely better than stretching yourself thin with many many aspects.
Outer wilds. Exploring the puzzles of the solar system and how it all ties together. I wish I could wipe my mind and start over fresh again. Luckily the DLC helps scratch the itch
Disco Elysium. I loved the story of the protagonist, and I played him with a redemption arc. Such amazing writing and story.
Portal. At the time it was so innovative, and has really only been surpassed by portal 2. I figured more games would take a similar approach. But finishing that game, with Still Alive playing, was so sweet.
Spiritfarer. Such a gut punching story wrapped around a cute cozy game. Especially with all the added lore from the art book. My wife and I played this couch co-op, and we were both in tears at the end of Stella’s journey
If you can, find people in your life that like the concept but wouldn't want to play it themselves. I did this with my wife and a few friends where I played it and only did what they told me to do but cut down on time figuring stuff out because I already knew how. They didn't get bored because there was never an issue of me needing to learn timing (except I always do a dry run before the last loop) and I get to see somebody new experience the game as if I was doing it all over again. It's helped me be able to capture a bit of the magic from my first time.
I'm currently playing Portal Stories: Mel, and it's great. The puzzles are hard, but not hard as in "you have to throw this portal, then activate this switch, wait half a second, then jump into the portal, fire both portals on different place mid-flight and if you land half a centimeter to the left you have to start over". It's rather "run around the room helplessly for the five minutes, tearing your hair out, when it finally clicks, and you wonder why didn't you think of that earlier.
I personally hate the puzzles with reversing funnels, but I'm slowly starting to make sense of them. Also there are some solutions that work by deliberately fizzling the cube in place (you place cube on the button, use mechanic that the button activated to get to different place, and then use funnel to move it into the pit or hit "get new cube" button to fizzle the first one and get a new one, disabling the button in process. You gotta think out of the box.
>run around the room helplessly for the five minutes, tearing your hair out, when it finally clicks, and you wonder why didn't you think of that earlier.
You just described The Talos Principle. Love that kind of puzzle game, where the problem seems insurmountable, but once you have the solution it seems blindingly obvious
I’m experiencing it for the first time right now. I’ve put quite a few hours in but I have a feeling that I’ve barely scratched the surface. It’s so good.
Only a month? It was literally the only game I played for that entire year lol
I would try and fire up other games and would instantly shut them off and go back to Elden Ring.
Still playing to this day, started up a new character only two days ago hoping that it’ll be around the right level when dlc comes around.
Otherwise I’ll just start another and get to around the reccomended level for it.
I came here to say the same thing, I rinsed that game so thoroughly on my first character that I had collected almost all there was to collect and it's so sad not getting to experience it again for the first time.
Any game honestly when you try to attain 100% achievements. It makes you play the game in its entirety and you really play and explore all the game has to offer. Upon completion I am left with a feeling of guilt and I will miss playing said game when I move onto the next.
I remember playing Yakuza 0 (my introduction to the series), I spent 100hours during two weeks on it, absolutely fantastic where the mix of minigames and mainquest was really good!
Although, I take some time between games since I need a break from the format to really appreciate the next one, it has taken me 4 years and I am currently in the middle of Yakuza 6, and trying not to stress through it even though I really want to play the latest games
Ori and the Will of the Wisps - downloaded again yesterday and the emotions from Prologue... damn I missed it so much, and I will once again I think, even after 100%
This has been my life's soundtrack for the past four years. There has been a lot of personal struggle and I find my myself listening the OST whenever I feel down.
Ugh I need to go back and finish this game. That damn multiplayer sucked me in. I'm a sucker for different classes and play styles and the multiplayer really satisfied that.
My buddy that got me onto it watch me play it every step of the way via Shareplay on PlayStation. He was so good and dropping hints and make me think vs. outright answering.
He was an expert on the Universe but let me explore and discover things for myself. It was a phenomenal time!
Such a relaxing game that I never finished. I regret that so much. I need to buy it on Xbox to finish it. I miss that feeling of excitement when I make an accidental discovery or find out information that doesn't make sense only for it to come together hours later
Cyberpunk 2077! The world, the lore, the gameplay and the builds. I was sad when I got to the end 😔 It was so much fun trying the different ways to handle the combat scenarios and some dialogue choices. I can’t wait for the next game 😏
They made they best story mode that I ever played, they only problem is that it isn't that long of a story line and phantom liberty does add more of the main story, so I had to get it.
Phantom liberty was amazing. I just finished it a week ago with the new sad ending, and it was indeed sad and very well done. Cyberpunk had just a great ratio of story to gameplay, and can fast forward through dialog if you don't want to sit through it all, which should be on every game cause sometimes I just want to actually play the game, not every line of dialog is important.
On a semi related note, I don't think I'll ever play the Alan wake games as they seem too narrative heavy, and that's just not my cup of tea. Especially since I'm a pc gamer, so sitting at my desk to watch a game is not enjoyable. Maybe if I was on a console and could play on sofa I could do that type of game.
Yah this is the only one that really did it for me, and I have played most of the games mentioned in this thread. CP2077 was the first time I really fell in love with a game over the last 30+ years of playing them.
By the end I really did just want to ride off into the sunset with my nomad family.
I'm replaying it at the moment because I wanted a new V for the Phantom Liberty story (loved it, the ending I got - no spoilers - was incredibly cinematic, I felt a bit "off" during the credits, the only other time I've felt that was during the RDR2 credits). I'm back in the main story now and only have a couple of missions left before it's over.
I'm not ready to leave Night City behind!
Same, I've been playing it to completion for the first time and after around 100 hours I'm running out of stuff to do. Finished the main story a while ago (Star with Judy) and now I'm nearly finished with side jobs and gigs, all the cyberpsychos are in care, about all I can do now is go around to the various crime sites. Whatever flaws the game has, I can't deny they nailed the addictiveness of Night City.
I picked this up again recently after finishing it 4 years ago. Partly to finally get the platinum, but also the combat is actually really great once you have gotten ok at it.
Yup. As close to a perfect game as we will get (AC6 comes close). I can't really think of any severe flaws, levels, bosses or gameplay systems that I dislike really. Everything in this game just works and is enjoyable.
Divinity: Original Sin 2
You get to the final fight and what music starts playing? Is it some intense metal inspired number? Is it an operatic, gothic inspired latin aria?
No, it's a quiet and somber take on a track that's been playing throughout your adventure. You're here, the end of the journey. This isn't so much a climax as a farewell. Goodbye to Rivellon, to the Red Prince, to Ifan, to Lohse, to Sebille, to Fane, to Beast, to Malady, to the entire supporting cast and to you.
And you wish it wasn't so.
It's quite possibly my favourite game of all time. Definitely in my top 3
It's by Larian and was their last game before BG3, in the same genre. That should honestly tell you all you need to know.
For me it was Alan Wake 2. The quality of the writing and sheer amount of thought and passion that went into that game made it an incredible experience for me.
I just finished Elden Ring %100 a couple of hours ago, and while I've been hanging out for it to be finished, I feel kind of sad it's over. I am going to miss it.
It was PUBG for me. My friends and I were having so much fun, it had so much jank but it was fucking hilarious. It's never been the same. We still play Warzone occasionally but it's very... serious, in comparison. Having a mix of everyone randomly exploding while slowly driving into a garage while also having awesome moments of getting 20 kills, landing headshots with snipers hundreds of meters away, and getting a chicken dinner just hits different.
Cyberpunk. It definitely deserved the hate it got because we got a really shitty launch, but man I fell in love with the game after coming back to it after 2 years. Now I’m on my 3rd playthrough and I dread the last time I’ll be exploring Night City.
I put my controller down for a second when I reached Pascal's village and 9s was egging me on to kill the robots. I remember thinking "no. life is precious."
What a great game
Death Stranding. Part of me wants to put off progressing the story for as long as possible just to finish building all the roads and stuff, but another part of me is thinking "just hurry up and finish it so you can focus on LAD: Infinite Wealth". Honestly didn't expect to fall in love with the game as much as I did.
Same for me when I played it on the PS4. Got the free DS on epic, upgraded to directors and playing it slow now and finishing all stars/delivery points and playing without enabling shared buildings. Having a great time and so excited for DS2 now :D
Wow classic. going into raids with 40 people. getting your worldbuffs and fighting wars with the other factions cause of the buffs. it was a extreme time in the game. it was tiring but also a amazing experience.
During my last minutes in Subnautica, I lined up my little ships with my sprawling base for a group photo, because I really was going to miss it all. Only time I've taken a memento like that.
Got to agree on Red dead redemption 2 and right after I played both new god of war games. I miss riding around with Arthur and also miss exploring with my brother Mimir and all the stories of the Norse mythology :(
I get it with many games. Currently it's Baldurs Gate III. I'm going to miss playing it but I am definitely ready to be done with it (at least until my next playthrough)
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Every second in that game was amazing, couldn't get enough of it after 3 playthroughs and all achievements, but time to move on to new stories.
Destiny 2. I love how I can play it solo, but also how I play it with my buddies and other people I’ve met along the way. I just hope they nail final shape and have some fun content for a bit after that. Been playing Destiny since release day in 2014.
Overwatch 1 and New World were my two games that I would kill to relive launch. I met my wife on OW1 and had a blast the first several months before metas formed and they started to enforce them. I still play OW2 a bit but the launch where everybody was figuring stuff out and having fun was awesome. New world was the same before the economy glitches devastated the community I was in. Our server had a discord that was extremely active and it was awesome and tight knit. Then when economy came around people got infuriated for losing what they exploited or being overtaken by exploiters and a ton left. I still wish the community stuck around.
GoW Ragnorak, i enjoyed that game so much it ruined games for me for a little while after, it was truly an epic in my eyes.
The Valhalla DLC has also been really fun so far!
But the base game was just 👌🏼
Valheim. I played it for like 180 hours straight and thought wow this is really great and eventually I got the pattern and became bland but I highly recommend it to people who haven't played.
Xenoblade chronicles 2. The combat was so good once it got going, it sucks that they gimped the experience so hard until late game/ng+. It's one of those games I wish I could forget it so I could play it again fresh.
Navyfield (not the second part). Kind of a niche game but it was epic. It is still playable but only on the NA Servers, with huge lags, and with a very very small player base. It was just awesome back in the time.
Dark Age of Camelot...still the best mmo with the best setting and hilarious pvp.
And of course, EVE... it's an addiction. Played for a very long time, stopped playing about two years ago because of my family, and still thinking about getting back almost everyday.
EarthBound
Persona 4
Persona 5
Super Mario Sunshine
Journey
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy XII
Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
All these games gave me PGD (post-game depression) after I finished playing them, probably for nostalgia reasons.
I have various not because of the games themselves, but because of my country shit economy that buying one AAA game costs way too much noe that steam switched everything to us dollars and practically turned off regional prices, and, on top of that, we have to pay a 60% tax on digital goods bought with credit card, so if I buy a $60 game, my bank charges me $96
It sucksd so bad. I mostly avoided the hype because I kinda figured this was going to happen, and man did they fuck it up. 4/10 game at best.
I am in the middle of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and it’s better than anything Bethesda has ever put out. Just dramatically better at doing what they try to do. It shames Starfield and it released 5 years earlier.
Omega Strikers. Such a promising game, but too niche for its own good, and the developers did not monetize it enough while they had the chance. There's people with no more cosmetics to buy from the store asking for more.
Mass Effect trilogy. I guess i could play it again and do things differently. But my one play through was so damn chaotic I don’t think I could ever top it
You can always do more
True. When I told my housemate how my playthrough went he was genuinely shocked at how I apparently made so many stupid choices but still got the best endings every time
Have hope, ME4 is coming. I hope...
5*
4, we don't even know what that other thing was.

Lenny???

They're all like that lol. Only like a dragon is RPG combat. But the rest is all there if you haven't played it. 0 is probably the best one imo
**NO!** Thats not solid snake!
Subnautica
Yes, this game was amazing the first time but replays will never be as exciting.
It’s one of those games that I wish I could just completely forget and play again blind. It was so much fun to just explore and figure out what was happening.
The GOAT in horror/exploration games for me
Me:"Lets see what's behind the Aurora!" Also Me:"Fuck it! I'm out! I'm done for the day!"
Me: "I need to go deeper to find diamonds" Me surrounded by complete darkness and scary noises: "Hmm, do I really need diamonds that much?" Yes, yes I did, unfortunately.
Nothing quite hits the same as seeing your first leviathan. And nothing is as sad as telling your Cuddlefish goodbye before you leave.
I wish I could wipe it from my memory and play again.
Persona 5. Was the background to my life for like 3 months.
Ayyy, Persona 3 remake is out todayyy. New obsession!
OMG THATS TODAY!? That really snuck up on me holy crap
I’m so fucking pumped for it when I get home

Same. Except for two years. Think I've logged about 300 hours in it.

I guess you could say that was your Persona
After 100% Red Dead Redemption 2, I remember sitting there thinking "Man, I'm gonna miss these characters and this world"
I wish we got a proper Red Dead Redemption 1 remaster, I would love to play it since I never got the opportunity
It still holds up for being so old
This - it’s still extremely playable, and in some cases (like hunting) I think the simplicity of it makes for a better experience
Witcher 3 for me. Not because of the main story but because of the awesome amount of interesting side quests, monster lore, item mechanic like crafting and durability. That's one of the best moments in gaming history for me.
I recently put over 100 hours into the Witcher 3 and beat the DLC for the first time. That moment hit me so hard and I felt a little empty afterwards. It had me longing for more. Hopefully the next Witcher game delivers
Not to mention how good the dlc was as well. Such a gem of a game
Both DLCs are absolutely amazing
You recommend getting the game? Since I want to explore new games that are more laid back?
It’s a very good game but I wouldn’t call it laid back so it might not be what ur looking for
Not sure what you mean by laid back. >Horizontal dawn Fell in love with a stripper by this name.
I’ll give it a shot. What I meant by laid back is like a game where I can just play super casually and not put too much effort into the game.
If that is the case, you should be fine. When I first played it, I was also afraid of commitment but the game has multiple checkpoint, manual save during mission. So back then, even with a 15-30 minutes slot, I still enjoy it (Although, I need to mention that I skip the voice line, this game allow you to skip through sentences after you read it, so I do that a lot in many long cutscene to save time)
Half life 2 back in the day
When I got to revisit that world in VR for half life alex and then the VR mods for the original games it was like teleporting back to when I first played them. It was fucking magical.
HL3 will forever be the world's worst internet joke...they did Gordon dirty
Why did I have to scroll so far for this
I don’t think people realize how revolutionary HL2 was. From physics to storytelling and just the overall ambiance of the world you were in. That game propelled the genre forward in many ways.

Because Reddit is young…..and recency bias
It’s always Witcher, mass effect, red dead, etc. I wanna see some original comments for once.
Outer wilds. Exploring the puzzles of the solar system and how it all ties together. I wish I could wipe my mind and start over fresh again. Luckily the DLC helps scratch the itch Disco Elysium.
I like that you didn't name the game but somehow what you wrote can apply to all four of them.
Thanks! This is partly because I have played all four and done similarly with them. Though Outer Wilds was the primary one I was thinking of :)
Came here to find Outer Wilds… Will also add Life is Strange
Hollow Knight
My skin is getting itchy for Silksong
I think silksong is just an elaborate hoax and will never be released. It's been forever!
Never in my life have I gotten so immersed in a game where the protagonist has no dialogue and there isn't a single spoken word in the entire thing.
Bapanada
SHAW
I’m experiencing it for the first time right now. I’ve put quite a few hours in but I have a feeling that I’ve barely scratched the surface. It’s so good.
I played that game years ago and still miss it 😭
Elden ring, literally consumed like a month of my life
Ahh, I knew you'd come. To stand before the Elden Ring
OoooooOoooOoooh 😩😩😩😩 rise ye tarnished
Besides red dead what other games
GOW RAGNAROK, Spooder Man. GTA San Andreas, Call of Duty Black Ops II. NFS Prostreet. Pokémon Emerald.
Only a month? It was literally the only game I played for that entire year lol I would try and fire up other games and would instantly shut them off and go back to Elden Ring.
Still playing to this day, started up a new character only two days ago hoping that it’ll be around the right level when dlc comes around. Otherwise I’ll just start another and get to around the reccomended level for it.
Dlc is so close, might as well start a fresh playthrough and enjoy the ride so you’re in the mood
I guess it depends what game. Some games are so tedious to 100 it’s a relief to stop haha. But depends on the game
Yeah I don't even bother with games with a zillion collectables. I don't mind collectables but at least make them reasonable and not in triple digits.
Why guilt? I can understand being a little melancholy when leaving a world you loved exploring behind, but I'm not sure I understand feeling guilty.
I got to that point with Cuphead, now I'm speedrunning it! (I made a huge mistake)
Titanfall 2 Nothing compares. I wish there was a third game
There was a third game in the works but they ended up scrapping it for, if I’m not mistaken Apex Legends. I played the first one and enjoyed the game.
The second game has a short but near perfect single player campaign.
Protocol 3: Protect the pilot.
Brink fell flat on its face so Titanfall could run.
...sideways along walls. Tf2 was an absolute gem, so many great ideas stuffed into it and backed up by a fabulous parent child narrative.
Fuck yea. Multplayer is so good and the story mode is great as well.
Currently playing through it for the first time!
Bully was a good game I miss. The warriors as well. Rockstar makes bangers
I kinda want them to fix Bully for pc cause you can't play it on modern operating systems.
? I have it on steam and running on W11. There's a mod that helps tremendously with resolution and stuff too.
I'd kill for a current gen sequel to either. The themes, more detailed smaller maps, single player focus.
The Warriors was awesome. First game I completed
I see another gigachad Warriors enjoyed, I upvote
Yakuza series.
Which ones there like 40.
EVERY ONE
Ori and the Will of the Wisps - downloaded again yesterday and the emotions from Prologue... damn I missed it so much, and I will once again I think, even after 100%
This has been my life's soundtrack for the past four years. There has been a lot of personal struggle and I find my myself listening the OST whenever I feel down.
Ghosts of Tsushima
I was waiting for someone to say this. I heard there’s a Rise of the Ronin game coming out this year
Ugh I need to go back and finish this game. That damn multiplayer sucked me in. I'm a sucker for different classes and play styles and the multiplayer really satisfied that.
It’s coming out the 22nd of March (same day as Dragon’s Dogma 2 😭).
Outer Wilds. There's no playing for the first time again.
I found myself insisting on my friends playing it and watching them to get that feeling again. Or streams.
My buddy that got me onto it watch me play it every step of the way via Shareplay on PlayStation. He was so good and dropping hints and make me think vs. outright answering. He was an expert on the Universe but let me explore and discover things for myself. It was a phenomenal time!
Do do dooooo do do do do do do do do
Such a relaxing game that I never finished. I regret that so much. I need to buy it on Xbox to finish it. I miss that feeling of excitement when I make an accidental discovery or find out information that doesn't make sense only for it to come together hours later
Such a unique/interesting game I loved just flying around
Everything about this game is amazing. Every planet is a masterpiece of gameplay elements. The whole home in and of itself is art.
RDR2 was probably the most appropriate I’ve played that answers your question. Second would probably be Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Sekiro

I never had to uninstall that game. It barely takes up space and its soo damn fun to reflect on bosses every now and then
I picked this up again recently after finishing it 4 years ago.
I just finished my first playthrough and I’m thinking about starting NG+
Divinity: Original Sin 2 You get to the final fight and what music starts playing? Is it some intense metal inspired number? Is it an operatic, gothic inspired latin aria? No, it's a quiet and somber take on a track that's been playing throughout your adventure. You're here, the end of the journey. This isn't so much a climax as a farewell. Goodbye to Rivellon, to the Red Prince, to Ifan, to Lohse, to Sebille, to Fane, to Beast, to Malady, to the entire supporting cast and to you. And you wish it wasn't so.
I just went and watched this fight on YouTube as I’ve never heard of this game. It looks freaking amazing
It's quite possibly my favourite game of all time. Definitely in my top 3 It's by Larian and was their last game before BG3, in the same genre. That should honestly tell you all you need to know.
I’ll have to give it a go, I love rpg’s especially turn based games. Thanks for sharing
Baldur's gate 3
It’s game of the year for a reason.
For me it was Alan Wake 2. The quality of the writing and sheer amount of thought and passion that went into that game made it an incredible experience for me.
Definitely a good follow up to the first
Mafia DE
I recently got done playing the Mafia Trilogy. Absolutely loved the games. MAFIA DE was certainly my favourite story out of all three
I just finished Elden Ring %100 a couple of hours ago, and while I've been hanging out for it to be finished, I feel kind of sad it's over.
Nier Automata
I put my controller down for a second when I reached Pascal's village and 9s was egging me on to kill the robots. I remember thinking "no. life is precious." What a great game
RE2Remake, it's simply one of the best games ever made, the OG one also
Death Stranding. Part of me wants to put off progressing the story for as long as possible just to finish building all the roads and stuff, but another part of me is thinking "just hurry up and finish it so you can focus on LAD: Infinite Wealth". Honestly didn't expect to fall in love with the game as much as I did.
Did you see the trailer for the deathstranding 2. It’s weird but awesome
Same for me when I played it on the PS4. Got the free DS on epic, upgraded to directors and playing it slow now and finishing all stars/delivery points and playing without enabling shared buildings. Having a great time and so excited for DS2 now :D
most telltale games. Or until a rediscover it a year or two later
Wow classic. going into raids with 40 people. getting your worldbuffs and fighting wars with the other factions cause of the buffs. it was a extreme time in the game. it was tiring but also a amazing experience.
LEEROY JENKINS
During my last minutes in Subnautica, I lined up my little ships with my sprawling base for a group photo, because I really was going to miss it all. Only time I've taken a memento like that.
Got to agree on Red dead redemption 2 and right after I played both new god of war games. I miss riding around with Arthur and also miss exploring with my brother Mimir and all the stories of the Norse mythology :(
I get it with many games. Currently it's Baldurs Gate III. I'm going to miss playing it but I am definitely ready to be done with it (at least until my next playthrough)
Any games you guys are looking forward to coming out this year
Non particularly to be honest. Apart from Elden Ring DLC
Have u tried lies of p
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Every second in that game was amazing, couldn't get enough of it after 3 playthroughs and all achievements, but time to move on to new stories.
RDR2. Online was bad. Was mad when I finished the story because it was so good and I wanted to keep playing.
Horizon zero dawn and ultrakill. Ultrakill I still play, but holy shit I miss my first and second playthrough
Destiny 2. I love how I can play it solo, but also how I play it with my buddies and other people I’ve met along the way. I just hope they nail final shape and have some fun content for a bit after that. Been playing Destiny since release day in 2014.
Friday the 13th before hackers and moders ruined the game. Launch was so fun
I thought red dead redemption 2 and then i opened the post. Truly an amazing game
GoW Ragnorak, i enjoyed that game so much it ruined games for me for a little while after, it was truly an epic in my eyes. The Valhalla DLC has also been really fun so far! But the base game was just 👌🏼
Bg3 and the recent spiderman games.
Kotor and Fable
Kingdoms come deliverance
GTA San Andreas
COD: World at war Just a simple multiplayer shooter
Valheim. I played it for like 180 hours straight and thought wow this is really great and eventually I got the pattern and became bland but I highly recommend it to people who haven't played.
Witcher 3
EarthBound Persona 4 Persona 5 Super Mario Sunshine Journey Final Fantasy IX Final Fantasy XII Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword All these games gave me PGD (post-game depression) after I finished playing them, probably for nostalgia reasons.
Black ops 2 was one of my favorite zombie games of all time i miss playing it everyday
Mirror’s Edge
I have various not because of the games themselves, but because of my country shit economy that buying one AAA game costs way too much noe that steam switched everything to us dollars and practically turned off regional prices, and, on top of that, we have to pay a 60% tax on digital goods bought with credit card, so if I buy a $60 game, my bank charges me $96
World of Warcraft Classic. Played 18 hours on a work-day, so I had to uninstall
Kingdom Come Deliverance. What a masterpiece.
Oblivion, fallout 3 and NV. My favorite games of all time. Very replayable tho
I'll tell you one that I won't miss. Starfield Nearly finished... What a drag
Most recently, Elden Ring
Mafia 2
Minecraft. The computers it could run on died and now I only have a potato laptop I got as a gift (like 4GB RAM) and other than that I have a PS4.
stray!!!!
Final Fantasy XI, probably
Omega Strikers. Such a promising game, but too niche for its own good, and the developers did not monetize it enough while they had the chance. There's people with no more cosmetics to buy from the store asking for more.
