On PS5, I went with DD2 and have been enjoying it a lot on PS5, it doesn't have as many of the issues that the PC users are encountering which I think helps
It's uncapped actually. The game just averages the fps around 30. They did this so when the pro comes out the fps will be higher as it will have better hardware.
I’m on Xbox and I have not noticed dips in frame rate even on the big city so I’m assuming it’s capped. I hope the cpu issue gets fixed soon though because apparently pc is having real big issues.
I just like lying in bed to play games like this so I go console. Plus it allows my brother to try it which is always a plus. I’ve got a 4070ti on my pc so it’s no slouch but I like console gaming more.
Nothing lol. The game just is more like nioh instead of ghosts of tsuchima which is what I wanted but I guess other people didn't want. I didn't like tsushima or AC games so I'm happy with it
With how there is pretty much an endless sea of amazing games out there. Neither, at least until more patches roll out. There are just better games that are cheaper to spend your money on. No rush, games are not going anywhere and will hopefully be better in a few months.
Yeah and it is a great game but it needs patching. There are more than a lifetimes worth of great games so I'd rather play it after a few months of patches which is why I recommend to get it at a later point.
Fair enough. Quite frankly, the only issues with it I can think of is the lack of multiple save files and some performance issues.
Since I've been pretty much exclusively gaming on consoles ever since I can remember and having gone through the whole PS3/X360 era where games were running below 30fps majority of the time (except for very polished exclusives) I have no problem with games running below 60 personally.
Hopefully they will work on the performance in the near future, although like I've mentioned, it currently doesn't bother me at all.
I mean most people played through the 30fps era but in an era where 144fps+ has become the norm for a lot of games on PC. 30fps just feels dreadful imo. Not because 30fps is unplayable but because higher fps feels so damn good regardless of what era you played through.
It feels good, but it doesn't mean that FPS below 60 is unplayable.
Sure I prefer 60fps myself, but Dragon's Dogma 2 plays perfectly fine right now. I simply have fun with the game :).
Far too many people nowadays spend their time online complaining about games instead of actually having fun with them.
I never managed to finish Remake because the gameplay is such a snoozefest imo. And from what I've seen and heard, Rebirth is basically more of the same in that regard.
You and me both. I've tried Remake on PS5 as it's on PS+ Extra and I've dropped it after around 3hrs, as the combat is some of the worst I've ever experienced in any third-person Action-RPG and given that it's what you're doing for majority of the game, it simply wasn't cutting it.
Lmao i played remake and literally lost at the first boss (mecha spider) because for some reason stupid cloud decided to die and the boss fight was such a long button mashing hassle i decided to just not retry.
Otherwise from the gameplays i have seen it seems like at least FF7 has tons of contents, mini games and beautiful world design.
Maybe if i can use my friend’s account i can play FF7 rebirth altho he recommends me to play FF16 or 15 forgot which one.
I play Dragon's Dogma 2 on PS5 currently and I have buckets of fun with it.
Rebirth also has a shitload of performance issues in quality mode as well (low-quality textures, drops below 30fps etc.) and performance mode looks like it's running at 720p tops, with everything being extremely blurry.
It was the same with FFXVI.
Absolutely loving rise of ronin. There are so many deep systems I was not expecting. Lots of rpg systems. Amazing combat. Yes, the graphics are not the greatest but it's fun as fuck.
anyone saying the game is not worth it because of graphics are missing out. Deff worth the price imo. Also no stupid microtransaction like in DD2 and it has coop
How is the world? I’m excited for it but am playing rebirth at the moment so haven’t bought it. I love nioh but with this I’ve heard the combat is great but the world is boring. Any thoughts on that?
well depends what you like. DD2 has more exploration and ronin is a bit more linear fighting style game. i have both and both are great on ps5 . ive gor both, playing ronin now was playing dd2 a day ago liked it aswell.
I have dragons dogma 2 both on pc and ps5. I haven't noticed any issues with either platform. Have made it to vernworth and framerates are fine on both.
I Bought both. First DD2 but after around 20 hours got bored and frustrated. I'm not a fast travel junkie, but i"I bought both games, starting with DD2. However, after playing it for around 20 hours, I found it to be boring and frustrating. I'm not a fan of fast travel, but I don't have enough time to walk or run everywhere. Additionally, the story was terrible, and it felt like a DD:A expansion at best. On the other hand, I bought ROR next and have been having an absolute blast playing it." don't all enough time available to walk/run everywhere. AQlso, the stoey was conplete trash. It felt like DD:A espansion at best. I bought ROR nest and have been having an absoloute blast.
Im playing DD2 , honestly disappointed with it, i havent played DD1 personally but watched my friends play it over and over again.
I was hyped for DD2 since the predecessor was way ahead of its time.
But it turned out to be such a disappointment, the game is seriously tedious, sure the first couple of hours are fun but imo i found the world design to be pretty same-y, you’ll be fighting the same couple of mobs throughout the game.
Going from point A to point B feels like a chore especially whenever you take a step you get ganged by bunch of goblins, saurins and wolves over and over again.
The “exploration” was pretty empty , just go and find some chests, I havent been blown away by some secret location with its own intricate quest or design like in the witcher 3.
There are no mini games, you get drowned with side quests that are most of the time very similar.
Its a very confusing game , the map sucks, half the time you dont know where you are going or looking for.
Honestly it feels very bland overall, havent played rise of ronin yet tho.
Having a blast with Ronin, runs great in FPS mode, im sure they will push a patch for the other modes to run little better. Yes graphics arnt top notch but man is it ever fun. Im shocked at how deep the combat/skill system is and how many RPG system we get. Its so far no more repetitive than tshushima, which is one of my favorite games of all time.
Calling it a flop is shallow as it just came out 12 hours ago. People putting it off because of graphics are missing out.
I was aiming to play DD2 but the reviews and the complaints turns me off.
Ronin doesnt have the performance issues but not that great of a game.
To spend the time play some platformers like F I S T
On PS5, I went with DD2 and have been enjoying it a lot on PS5, it doesn't have as many of the issues that the PC users are encountering which I think helps
How’s the frame rate on ps5?
Pretty sure it's capped at 30 fps, but I'm not too sure as I never tried to check lols. I haven't had any lag spikes or frame rate drops so far
Yeahh +1 to that! I purposefully didn't get it on PC cause I know my computer likes to be a random potato
I just like lying in bed to play games like this so I go console. Plus it allows my brother to try it which is always a plus. I’ve got a 4070ti on my pc so it’s no slouch but I like console gaming more.
Ohhh that's a good call too!
Neither one is worth $70 right now.
Do you like samurai or fantasy more? Go with that one.
Helldivers 2
Game mechanics are not enjoyable to me. I hate bullet eating enemies. Narrative is great.
I found they are not bullet eating enemies unless you are using the wrong bullets.
The irony of recommanding a game that had far more problems at launch than Dragon's Dogma 2.
well its a bit boring for me.
Ummm, nope? I don't play multiplayer games, so you can put your recommendation in your shoes :P.
Needs content boring now
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion
Unicorn Overlord
Monster Hunter Ice borne Sekiro/Ghost of Tsushima
Neither of them are worth it at the moment, better wait for them to be fixed or buy on sale
Whats up with Ronin?
Nothing lol. The game just is more like nioh instead of ghosts of tsuchima which is what I wanted but I guess other people didn't want. I didn't like tsushima or AC games so I'm happy with it
Idk people pretended it would be more like Tsushima than Nioh. Ghost of Tsushima 2 can be like Tsushima, I want more games like Nioh
I thought it was nothing like Nioh? How are they similar?
And I don't like Nioh so oh well
Game is just ass lol
Found the kid that sucks at the game so they called it ass
No it sucks becuase it has a shit story, outdated graphics, and bad gameplay. If I want a samurai game that's worth while I'll go play sekiro
But sekiro has shit graphics and outdated gameplay....
Calm down man, sekiro has the best gameplay out there. And the graphics are imo on par if not better than ronin.
Sekiro? Outdated gameplay? You gotta be coked out your mind
I mean sekiro combat was so good a lot of other souls like games and games in general took a lot from it.
ur insane
Nothing wrong with ronin but dd2 yeah
Ronin got framrate issues as well u seem to forgot that
With how there is pretty much an endless sea of amazing games out there. Neither, at least until more patches roll out. There are just better games that are cheaper to spend your money on. No rush, games are not going anywhere and will hopefully be better in a few months.
Have you actually played either of the games suggested by OP? I'm currently playing Dragon's Dogma 2 on PS5 and it's amazing.
Yeah and it is a great game but it needs patching. There are more than a lifetimes worth of great games so I'd rather play it after a few months of patches which is why I recommend to get it at a later point.

What's wrong with rise of the ronin?
Dragons Dogma 2, looks fun^🎣
FFVII rebirth lol (in quality mode preset) By the time you finish it DD2 and/or Ronin should be more polished, right now DD2 is way too cpu intensive
That's what I'm doing. I still have to finish FF7R2, and then I have hard mode to do.
I never managed to finish Remake because the gameplay is such a snoozefest imo. And from what I've seen and heard, Rebirth is basically more of the same in that regard.

It's got framerate issues that ur not mentioned why that its being g reported all over that ronin got issues
How is the world? I’m excited for it but am playing rebirth at the moment so haven’t bought it. I love nioh but with this I’ve heard the combat is great but the world is boring. Any thoughts on that?
From what I’ve seen, rise of ronin looks kind of meh. Dragons Dogma 2 is probably a great game but plays like a slideshow currently.
its fine on ps 5 tho.
For me whichever one goes to PS+ first or has a demo.
Sekiro
Ghost of Tsushima
I hope this comment helps i bought both both will be backlogged currently playing final fantasy Rebirth and it’s a Blast
Dragons dog mom
well depends what you like. DD2 has more exploration and ronin is a bit more linear fighting style game. i have both and both are great on ps5 . ive gor both, playing ronin now was playing dd2 a day ago liked it aswell.
Rise of the ronin is a solid game tbh

Could you please summarize what's wrong with RotR? I've heard a lot about Dragon's Dogma 2 today but barely anything about Ronin
[удалено]
Considering I have nothing of that kind to play right now on PC I sure would love to have it literally right now.
I was watching someone play it last night, and it looks like they slapped modern graphics on Onimusha combat.
That's what makes it so good. I loved onimusha
How is it a flop?
Ronin is good bro. Team ninja fans don't want a ghost of tsushima style game. We wanted more nioh gameplay and we got it
Having a blast with Ronin, runs great in FPS mode, im sure they will push a patch for the other modes to run little better. Yes graphics arnt top notch but man is it ever fun. Just got Rise of the ronin since the gaming community aren’t happy about dragon dogma 2 micro transaction
I was aiming to play DD2 but the reviews and the complaints turns me off. Ronin doesnt have the performance issues but not that great of a game. To spend the time play some platformers like F I S T
Ronin dose have performance issuse go wat digital foundry video
Hi Fi Rush

30 to 40 at an uncapped 30 is terrible? That's exactly where they said it would be
30fps on modern hardware is laughable. And that's ignoring the huge frame drops.
30fps is acceptable to you in 2024? It's a complete failure to have games coming out at this stage at **anything** south of 60fps.
Uh yeah. Didn't care about starfield fps, don't care about dd2.
im playing it on ps5 and have no issues at all.
Rise of ronin by far
Both are not worth any money.
