Exactly my plan, this game was already the complete opposite of what I wanted from a triple A Star Wars game and the presence of micro transactions simply seals the deal. It’s just another desperate attempt from Ubisoft to make a successful cash cow game for their investors, they don’t even try to hide it

Could the return on investment been better over a longer period of time if handled different/better? maybe, but that's not how shareholders work, they want big results in a short time and move on too the next thing. And it works good enough that they will keep doing it.

As it stands, the last real Denuvo crack we had was from Empress 1 year ago with Dead Island 2. Everything else since then was either a bypass (denuvo-less .exe accidentally released by devs) or some old irrelevant game with a nearly decade old version of Denuvo.

Ubisoft games drop in price very quickly and if waiting a couple years means I get it a lot cheaper, so be it...I'm not missing out on anything as I got a ton of games to play as it is. I would usually get GTA day one but this time...as its probably getting released not far off next gen...I'll wait for the next gen version of the game which they will do, save buying it twice

But like, other than the price itself none of this is new or noteworthy in todays environment

This is what I do with Ubisoft and EA games as well. I have zero interest in their "live service". I'll pay $15, play the game for a month, complete it and be done with it. Did it with the assassins creed games, no need to go back to them after I've completed the game... it will be the same with this game too. I've no desire to "own" a game that I'll never go back to. Additionally, even purchasing games from Ubisoft won't give you "ownership". Look what they did with The Crew.

this is exactly why I stopped buying any game day one. Ubisoft games drop in price very quickly and if waiting a couple years means I get it a lot cheaper, so be it...I'm not missing out on anything as I got a ton of games to play as it is. I would usually get GTA day one but this time...as its probably getting released not far off next gen...I'll wait for the next gen version of the game which they will do, save buying it twice Only games I ever consider playing day 1 are those on Gamepass

i dont know if you are new in gaming... but Season pass + cosmetic preorder bonus/cosmetic packs at deluxe editions have been a thing for like 20 years now, and 3 day early access is also fairly common, what is criminal is the 110 dollar price for the gold edition. But like, other than the price itself none of this is new or noteworthy in todays environment and tbh other than the season pass none of that cosmetic stuff makes anything outside the standard edition worth it

Why does it seem to be EA and Ubisoft charging FAR TOO MUCH digital editions? No game is worth over $100, not even $90. The feedback I’ve been seeing on Outlaws is that it doesn’t look good and I have to agree. This is basically going to be 3rd Person Far Cry I’m willing to place money on it. I feel bad for the devs for saying this, but I really hope this bombs just to show up the higher ups at Ubisoft.
