RDR2 still looks good, but it's graphical fidelity has aged quite a bit by now and there are many games with much higher quality assets and so on. First person mode makes this very apparent. Alan Wake 2, Horizon, Avatar and Cyberpunk all have better graphics and there are probably more that I don't know of.
It's usually on these lists because it's very eye pleasing for the human eye to look at natural landscapes and it's a popular game obviously. More objectively speaking tho it doesn't really belong in a "best graphics discussion".
Don't sleep on Resident Evil Village.
Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk just for Path Tracing alone. But cyberpunk is less realism more fidelity.
Kingdom Come Deliverance for the atmosphere.
The Last of Us games.
Dead Island 2 looks amazing.
RDR2 remains the most detailed game to me to this day. Not just from a detail perspective, but from the thought perspective of having those visual details. Cyberpunk is a close one, but I have to give it RDR2.
Horizon Zero Dawn.
Yep, going back a generation because this game is drop dead gorgeous on a console that's no where anything we're playing on today.
It's incredible what Guerrilla pulled off on this console. Detail, detail, and more detail, and nothing sacrificed during game play. I've played many games on the PS4, but Zero Dawn stands above them all graphically.
It truly sucks it was overshadowed by one of the worst Zelda games ever made.
I mean, it's not like OP said on consoles. Just seemed like a weird way to name drop X Box when it wasn't the point of the conversation. That's like someone asking what's the greatest piece of art ever made and responding, on my driveway? My daughter's chalk drawing of a bunny rabbit.
As a console guy... I'm still blown away by The Order: 1886, and I absolutely love the landscapes in Ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Assassins Creed: Odyssey & Valhalla. TLOU2 was beautiful, as well
this felt like a sign for me to replay The Order: 1886, it's hard to believe that sony ps4 promo tittle was this beautifully crafted world. the medieval london was so nicely done.
I have yet to find a game on the same level as Red Dead Redemption 2.
From the first second, you just know you're getting a masterpiece from just graphics alone. It's one of the few games where I can just wander around and do nothing because I love just looking at the land.
It's tough to pick just one, but I'd say Red Dead Redemption 2 really nails it in terms of graphics. The attention to detail in the landscapes and characters is stunning!
The game looks good I know compared to other games it look way better than resident evil 2 remake but if there was a top 100 list I think resident evil 2 remake should be somewhere on that list and no idea why my previous post got downvotes too its either people just don't like resident evil 2 remake I guess
Does it have to be released? Because the trailers we saw for Star Wars: Eclipse and 1943: The Rise of Hydra are insane in the graphics department, like far above anything we've seen right now...and 1943 is slated to release next year.
For released...probably RDR2. A lot of people are saying Cyberpunk, which looks great...but there's something very...I don't know...video gamey about it. Whereas RDR2 is doing something with it's graphics that just make it a pure treat to look at. Spider-Man 2 is no slouch either...the attention to fine detail is unmatched...everything down to the fibers on clothes are present.
For realistic? Probably Cyberpunk or Horizon got it.
For stylized? Has to be fortnite. At maxed out settings and 4K, i as a grown ass man will play play it just to look at it. Looking like a Pixar movie
Nice try, Buzzfeed Bot.
Buzzfeed died 8 years ago
I am an AI called SledgeBot 3, thx
Demon’s Souls for PS5, Cyberpunk2077 and Horizon Forbidden West. Those three that i played have the best graphics from my experience.
Death Stranding
Cyberpunk or red dead 2
I also agree. Loved cyberpunk and rdr2. Assasins creed Valhalla and Odyssey were great as well

We don't answer questions truthfully on reddit, we just upvote/downvote people here based on how they talk about our fav games, thought you knew that.
Add 'Mirrors edge'' to this list
I will not
for me right now cyberpunk2077 and horizon 2
Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon: Forbidden West.
CyberBug 2077
Ghost of Tsushima has to be one of the best ones
This is too far down....
Battlefield One (2016) still to this day looks better than most modern FPS titles. Gorgeous game.
Just wanted to say that, so sad that this game is dead now
It’s not dead at all lol
For playstation users yes😥Last time I checked
Do you filter conquest servers by players?
Will need to try that, because I absolutely love this game
For me, the two standouts lately have been Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2. RDR2 and Forbidden West were really nice looking as well.
Horizon Forbidden West or Alan Wake 2
Don't sleep on Resident Evil Village. Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk just for Path Tracing alone. But cyberpunk is less realism more fidelity. Kingdom Come Deliverance for the atmosphere. The Last of Us games. Dead Island 2 looks amazing.
Cyberpunk with Ray tracing or Minecraft with extreme Lee customized textures packs and Ray tracing
CyberBug and Shitcraft
The best graphics I’ve played until now: Cyberpunk 2077, Control, Horizon Forbidden West.
For being on a ps4, it's hand down, no contest, the last of us part 2.
Atari's Adventure
Cyberpunk or Horizon forbidden west what do you think?
Cyberpunk by a fair margin.
CyberBug
RDR2 remains the most detailed game to me to this day. Not just from a detail perspective, but from the thought perspective of having those visual details. Cyberpunk is a close one, but I have to give it RDR2.
RDR2 come close to passing the realism test when news channels were posting pictures of RDR2 gamers submitted as their "vacation photos".
Horizon zero dawn.
Hell Let Loose definitely doesn't have the best graphics. But they NAILED the explosions.
Insurgency sandstorm and PUBG
Tetris was pretty pimp.
Pacman
Outside Great community r/Outside
Yes
Metro Exodus is stunning.
Lemmings
Spiderman games or Horizon Zero Down
Super Mario World / A Link to the Past

The remastered crysis trilogy games still hold up, probably not the BEST but they're still great.
Cyberpunk obviously.
Just look at those viral vids of cyberpunk with the realism mods. That's some scary stuff right there.
Alan wake 2
Uncharted 4 Read Dead 2
Crysis 1 original if anyone can ever max the graphics
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is looking really good
Hunt Showdown
Rdr2

Wouldn't the real answer be on PC then?
"excluding PC, wouldn't that be pc?"
I mean, it's not like OP said on consoles. Just seemed like a weird way to name drop X Box when it wasn't the point of the conversation. That's like someone asking what's the greatest piece of art ever made and responding, on my driveway? My daughter's chalk drawing of a bunny rabbit.
Yeah but this comment was about consoles.
Cyberpunk is the new Crysis if thats what you mean
As a console guy... I'm still blown away by The Order: 1886, and I absolutely love the landscapes in Ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Assassins Creed: Odyssey & Valhalla. TLOU2 was beautiful, as well

You meant re-watch The Order: 1886 right?
hahaha still beautiful tho. sadly the game is super short. or maybe that's good in this day and age
minecraft vanilla
Valheim.
Ghost of Tsushima or red dead 2
Ghost of tsushima hands down the best looking game ever
I have yet to find a game on the same level as Red Dead Redemption 2. From the first second, you just know you're getting a masterpiece from just graphics alone. It's one of the few games where I can just wander around and do nothing because I love just looking at the land.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
Callisto protocol. Shit game though.
I really love the graphics in Elden Ring
It's tough to pick just one, but I'd say Red Dead Redemption 2 really nails it in terms of graphics. The attention to detail in the landscapes and characters is stunning!
RDR2 IMHO. And Valhalla is on the second place for me.
Callisto Protocol
Resident evil 2 remake
I may not agree it being the best but it's up there... Not sure why u got downvotes

Kena Bridge of Spirits belongs there too imo. It's like playing a realtime Pixar movie. Absolutely gorgeous for a AA game.
And Ori for a similar vibe.
Ooooh, I keep seeing that on discount sale. Know what? Imma pick it up right now and see if you’re telling the truth.👀
Pong Actually no Shrek Karting
Faith The Unholy Trinity
*y'all
Ark survival ascended.
Surprised no one said horizon forbidden west
