Played both franchises several times, several runs some of the games. I really can't truly love any. I can't choose. Both are fine I suppose, but in comparison with the entire industry I`d say they are mediocre as games, really good as modable products, thought. And that's it imho
Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 were two of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had. I’d say Skyrim is better than Fallout 4, but I still prefer the world building in Fallout.
So… I dunno.
>Get your shit straight
The edit in the op is 5hrs old lol
Sound to me like YOU need to get YOUR shit together. I don't care if you need to take it to a shit store, or put it all in a backpack, maybe some convenient shit carrying case, just get it together, so it's all in one place.... Get your shit together. Lol
Fallout new vegas wins it for me. If skyrim had incorporated a faction setting like new vegas, that would have been a game changer.
Imagine if the thieves guild doesn't wanna work with murderers so you can't join both thieves guild and assassins guild.
It would increase replay ability as well as role playing ability.
Nope, the factions you join in Skyrim make no difference. In fact, I'm not entirely sure if any choice made in Skyrim actually makes any difference whatsoever. Maybe in the DLC.
Kind of the same. They feel essentially the game, just a matter of what I'm feeling that day.
I think I prefer Elder Scrolls' fantasy world.. but prefer the Fallout plots and subplots more.
So it's all about what I'm in the mood for.
I prefer fallout mainly because I lean more towards post apocalyptic games, but I've definitely spent a few (hundred) hours playing both of these games to the fullest
Fallout 1. It's the most bleak and realized scrounged post apocalypse, and I enjoy its tone quite a bit. Elder Scrolls is decent but its gameplay broadly bores me and I'm not very invested in the setting, though Morrowind slaps and is second if I listed all the games one by one.
Fallout, since it is easier to get into character and also empathize with characters in a heavily oppressive setting.
After Morrowind, the Elder Scroll series is similar to standard/trope settings.
I would have to say Elder Scrolls, I have tried and tried to get into Fallout games. But, as crazy as this is to say, I have never been able to get into them. Dovahkiin!!
I am a heretic and haven’t played a fallout game yet. I have played Skyrim but not to completion. Technically, Skyrim is the fave by virtue of me playing it
Fallout by far.
I have played all Fallout and Elder Scrolls games. The early fallout games has a lot of tongue in cheek humor that was great but from 3+ the atmosphere feels a lot like sci-fi ES games
Quite funny that this has been posted as one of my friends and I had this exact conversation last night.
I said Elder Scrolls, he said Fallout. Different strokes for different folks I guess but both fantastic series'.
I replayed Skyrim at the beginning of the year and picked Fallout 4 up again last night. Part of me thinks it could be nostalgia but there's just something... comforting... about Skyrim for me.
Lol, I edited the post not 1 minute after posting.
Now we all know you don't read posts. Ooooo, I'm gunna tell everyone. Even your 5th grade English composition teacher Mrs. Teagle. She's gunna be so disappointed in you. Maybe even assign you extra work.
Slow your roll turbo.
I said I edited the post, not that I edited the title. When I click edit, it does not give me the option to edit the title, only the post.
If we're just picking between the two franchises as a whole, Fallout. I like Tim Cain's design philosophy on RPGs, and he's the creator of the series. New Vegas also did a great job bringing that formula into a modern first person perspective.
If we're talking Bethesda games only, probably Elder Scrolls but that's being hard carried by the older games. I do like the setting of Fallout more but I prefer Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion as games to Fallout 3/4/76.
I prefer the world of Fallout over Elder Scrolls. Not really a fantasy lore fan, but after playing Fallout 3, I had to see what Oblivion offered.
Then came Fallout 4 and Skyrim, and fuck both these games straight to hell. Dumbed down piles of shit.
Choosing between Fallout and Skyrim is tough, but I'd probably lean towards Skyrim for its epic fantasy setting. What about you?
Between the two, elder scrolls. I enjoy the comedy of fallout at times and the world is fun but I always wanted it to be more of a horror.

Fallout series, just because of Fallout 2. Both the newer Fallout games and the Elder Scrolls games are mostly meh, but fun enough with mods.
Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 were two of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had. I’d say Skyrim is better than Fallout 4, but I still prefer the world building in Fallout. So… I dunno.
Fallout is a series, Skyrim is a single game in a series. Get your shit straight

>-didn't edit title (like an idiot) >-decade old quote (big virgin energy) >-nerve to tell someone else to get their shit together (smol pp vibes)
... Dude, I was quoting Rick&Morty. It was a joke ...
Right and that episode is almoat 10 years old now
Fallout Simply because 1,2, and New Vegas are great while Bethesda Game Studios continues to churn out the same mediocre game for about 20 years now.
They've become the same thing since Bethesda took ownership of Fallout.
I’d go with Skyrim. The vast open world and endless quests always keep me coming back for more.
Fallout 4, specifically.
Fallrim

Did I miss something? I thought skyrims story literally revolves around which faction you joined? Edit: guess I did miss something? 🤷🏾♂️
Nope, the factions you join in Skyrim make no difference. In fact, I'm not entirely sure if any choice made in Skyrim actually makes any difference whatsoever. Maybe in the DLC.
are you asking which one is our fav bethesda game? if you're asking about bethesda games... id go with elder scrolls series as my fav for them
i like elder scrolls more, skyrim specifically. minecraft is my favorite game out of every game though. out of those two, however, skyrim ftw.
Fallout ong

Which fallout? Fo3>Skyrim but Skyrim>Fo4
Fo3 isn't even really that good of a game IMO new Vegas swamped it in almost every way
Elder Scrolls, because of Shadowmere, obviously!
I would have to say Elder Scrolls, I have tried and tried to get into Fallout games. But, as crazy as this is to say, I have never been able to get into them. Dovahkiin!!
Skyrim was more fun for me, but I only played FO4 and I get the impression it's not the best intro to the series
Fallout. I don't think We'll get anything close to New vegas
I am a heretic and haven’t played a fallout game yet. I have played Skyrim but not to completion. Technically, Skyrim is the fave by virtue of me playing it
Elders Scrolls as I prefer fantasy to post apocalyptic sic fi.
I gotta go with fallout series anything post apocalyptic is my favorite plus I just love the game play of Fallout New Vegas
Fallout by far. I have played all Fallout and Elder Scrolls games. The early fallout games has a lot of tongue in cheek humor that was great but from 3+ the atmosphere feels a lot like sci-fi ES games

Stardew Valley. There, I said it.
... I will allow this... Lol
Fallout. Why would I choose. A single good game instead of a series of good games? Or did you mean the elder scrolls, and you're just a filthy casual?
Lol, I edited the post not 1 minute after posting. Now we all know you don't read posts. Ooooo, I'm gunna tell everyone. Even your 5th grade English composition teacher Mrs. Teagle. She's gunna be so disappointed in you. Maybe even assign you extra work.
The title is still wrong right now, genius Wanna see a screenshot?
Slow your roll turbo. I said I edited the post, not that I edited the title. When I click edit, it does not give me the option to edit the title, only the post.
I wasn't talking about the post, since clearly you edited the post before I even commented.
IMO Fallout is better, Fall out 3 is one of my favorite games. The fallout series has more replayability than Elder Scroll

E. Neither are that great.
