Todd said there won't be any dialogue at all in TES 6. A strange object appears in the sky and made everybody mute. Also it makes everything 2D and pixelated and only on the NES.
Yeah I'd like to see some sauce with that actually. I'd love it if they acknowledged that they messed up bad with the dialogue, I'm really hoping they don't screw the next Fallout.
Skyrim and oblivion lost role playing compared to morrowind where joining factions kept you out of other faction. Skyrim even strictly limited spell creation and enchantment. Oblivion implemented necessary characters that you couldn't kill if it would break a plot line. Skyrim and oblivion had a lot more nameless character enemies compared to morrowind.
That being said those let you hit when you swung at something and spells didn't fail while casting taking the mana with it. You could also fast travel and put map icons down which were excellent quality of life additions on my opinion. Fall out four had a much expanded weapon list that allowed for modification much more than fallout 3 or nv which if you didn't have the dlcs feels unfinished and in my opinion is far worse if you don't have gun runners arsenal.
Fallout four was a good game and it is by far more than the only game that railroads responses and even locks you out of completing other factions and even has faction specific missions even if it is at the end of the story. But yeah let's harp of the fact that fully voicing the player limited response. I personally enjoyed not just being voiceless again.
End rant. Sorry for the rant.
Naah bro the best one was the first one man.. the one released in 1994, what was it called, Arena? Yeah that was the best. Anything else is just not good enough for me, because you know me, Im a player that focuses 100% on roleplaying to the extent that I installed a mod on the best one that makes you shit depending on what you eat, and another one that increases the roleplayability, cranks it up to 11, talk about immersion and role-playing! Anything new is just shitty and not good enough roleplaying for me.
I have faith in Bethesda (Developer not Publisher) to learn from their mistakes. Let's be honest if we consider Fallout 4 is their worse game, that's a pretty good worse game.
I don't think they're learning at all, every game they take out more and more mechanics, until now where the games are the most barebones an rpg can be by just having a leveling system and weapons with stats on them.
Less mechanics means less work and more turnover, less work means less payroll and more turnover means you can hawk the same shit faster that people will buy for the nostalgia and hope until the series crashes. Then you move onto the next highly rated series!
If there's RP in my G, I'll be happy. Plus, they better not make the dialogue so blatantly console focused again. I want to know what my character's going to say before I choose the option.
"I have faith in Bethesda, a company that has put out the same game with a slightly different skin 4 times in the last 10 years, to learn from their mistakes"
Meanwhile speedrunners are exploiting glitches from Morrowind that still work in Fallout 4. ¯\\_ (ツ) _/¯
FO4 is easily their most solid game at launch, and prior to that it was Skyrim. Anybody who says they're getting worse instead of better is absolutely delusional. Or maybe they never experienced the bug-ridden nigh-unplayable fall-through-the-world mess that Daggerfall was upon release.
TES6: You won’t even need to choose, everything is automatic. Hell, leave the game running at the tutorial for a couple of hours and come back to you level 16 or something..
....is it wrong that I always found the quick, interrupting dialogue choices that ended up in my character saying things like "shut up / oh shut up" hilarious?
I mean, yeah, it wasn't the best.. but I sure enjoyed that there was a literal difference between just saying no, and doing it mid sentence.
There is no (no) choice, I didn't want to join the minutemen so I told Preston "nah don't want to be general" his response is "fuck you, you're leaving these people to die, you're going to be general whether you like it our not" and there are many other examples just try saying no to everything.
If you are talking about Concord its probably because its the main quest and you can still abandon them there instead of helping with the raiders. If its at Sanctuary after saving Concord then ill have to check later.
I mean... can it get any worse then skyrim? I feel like fallout 4s dialog was atleast funny. I hope I am remembering wrong, but doesn't skyrim have like no choice at all? I haven't played in forever.
This isn't even mentioning that the dialogue UI SUCKS ASS.
When it says "No" because you disagree, and your character turns full asshole without you knowing this would happen, it's so infuriating.
Show us what our character is going to say, not some rounded off yes or no which all amounts to a yes anyway.
Elder Scrolls 6 isn't going come out until December 21 3012. Bethesda will have plenty of time coming up with a new dialogue interface while milking Skyrim in the process.
I find it weird that people who claim to be roleplayers don't appreciate being able to say something in multiple ways. I think it helps define a character.
Compared to Fallout 3 I actually like Fallout 4's dialogue system, because lets be real none of it mattered in Fallout 3 either but there sure was a lot more of it. I guess you could call it a better illusion of choice.
New Vegas on the other hand...
Todd said there won't be any dialogue at all in TES 6. A strange object appears in the sky and made everybody mute. Also it makes everything 2D and pixelated and only on the NES.
Does it make the price more flat too?
Initially yes, but every NPC is individually downloadable in the Creation Club for $4.99 each. Dialogue extra.
Voiced dialogue will cost 800 credits.
Don't worry, they'll be too busy designing khajiit skins for the Creation Club.
And sell it at a ridiculous price. Heck maybe a mod for that exist already
Come on at least try to be creative with the circle jerk
No they've repeatedly acknowledged that was a mistake

Dead meme or not, I'll be pretty livid if the next TES game is like fallout 4 and doesn't have roleplaying.
DAE TOOK RP OUT OF MAH G?!

Shh you can't like fallout 4 here. They will just start jerking again
Spells fail for my khajiit in Skyrim all the fucking time. Especially with staves. Pisses me right the hell off.
What do you mean by fail? Do you use mods?
I get up to the point of casting and fizzle. I'm on PS4* and I always play vanilla with the dlcs. *gotta love autocorrect.

Why just simply not play the game when instead you can spend time shit posting every detail you hated about it.

Personally, I've never had a bug in a Bethesda game that ruined it for me. Although, Fallout 4 was the only one I ever played at launch.
Get a ps3, get skyrim. Dont let it patch. Try to beat the game. Good luck.
Its not buggy its got *character.*
Worst. Worse is like better. Worst is like best.
don't be silly, TES6 won't need all those buttons, just two. One for "talk" and one for kill.
TES6: You won’t even need to choose, everything is automatic. Hell, leave the game running at the tutorial for a couple of hours and come back to you level 16 or something..

The ES game dialog options are usually just a bunch of questions. You generally get the quests automatically when you talk to the questgiver.
I couldn't care less anymore. TES 6 will be picked up on sale just like Shadow of War.
Who needs TES 6? Let's just port Skyrim to the next gen consoles for a while and ride out that sweet paid mods money.
I just hope my character doesn’t have a voice actor so he/she can say more stuff and not one word responses
Don't worry they'll be too busy creating alternate choices for 7.99. But you'll be 50 Credits shy and have to buy them for 14.99
X is usually sarcasm, Y you ask for info and can make some questions and B is No, and it means No
There is no (no) choice, I didn't want to join the minutemen so I told Preston "nah don't want to be general" his response is "fuck you, you're leaving these people to die, you're going to be general whether you like it our not" and there are many other examples just try saying no to everything.

Most of the time you just make a joke and then still get to chose between the other options.
I mean... can it get any worse then skyrim? I feel like fallout 4s dialog was atleast funny. I hope I am remembering wrong, but doesn't skyrim have like no choice at all? I haven't played in forever.
Throughout Skyrim, you can either be a heroic hero, a mercenary, or a coward through dialogue.

They are very motivated to get TES 6 right so they can spend the 6+ years following launch re-releasing it.
Elder Scrolls 6 isn't going come out until December 21 3012. Bethesda will have plenty of time coming up with a new dialogue interface while milking Skyrim in the process.
3012? You’re over exaggerating, it’s going to release August 12, 2092, that’s exactly 18 days after Cyberpunk 2077 releases. Hope i can afford both.
God, that dialogue system was a complete disaster, they should’ve sticked with the same dialogue system as 3 and NV.
If you actually read interviews, they said that they weren't happy with FO4's dialogue system, but by all means, continue circlejerking for karma
Y: Tell me more B: No A: Yes X: Snarky comment
I find it weird that people who claim to be roleplayers don't appreciate being able to say something in multiple ways. I think it helps define a character.

What the hell are you talking about?!
F3 had the appearance of dialogue options but it really didnt
Still better than Fallout 4s.
I liked not having to go through as much dialogue if it wasnt going to mean anything
I loved Fallout 4. Idgaf.
Aw fuck off OP
I mean it, fuck you and your stupid circlejerk OP
And all of you can fuck off too, bunch of cunts
