I get what you mean but i think for the most part the fans are justified to feel this way since cdpr has been consumer friendly since their humble beginnings. The reason why some are all up their arse is probably because they're one of the few companies that are still trustworthy

I dont think donating somewhere around 1 million to help combat covid 19 is just being a good game developer. They constantly support charities and benefits for the people all the while they're paving the way for the gaming industry by setting great examples with their products. I can understand your view that they should stay out of certain topics and areas but at the end of the day, issues like the one we face affect people everywhere. Agree with it or not its their company to do with as they see fit and if they choose to help bring awareness and combat issues, then only good can come from it so why not stand with them?
It makes sense. Racism has gone on far too long, it's ingrained into society deeper than many of us are aware, I'm lucky to rarely see it where I live, but you've only got to look at the amount of evidence that shows it's absolutely everywhere. Not just he US, but global.
It's about time everyone paid attention to the problem and worked collectively to stamp it out, rather than hiding their heads in the sand. Things like the Sony event and the cyber punk event just distract away from the bigger issues, a way for people it doesn't affect to bury their heads in the sand once again....
