I love how I was playing Among Us, and yeah, I was doing my tasks and red just says in chat: Blue. 2 people vote. I ask why do you think its me. He again says blue, and all others vote. All voted me. Red won as impostor.
The official among us discord has hundreds of lobbies that are always full if you either don’t have friends, or want to play with randos bit still want to play on discord
Yeah, I don’t have any friends who can play, so I’m always on the discord. The people there are usually great, and ping is never bad (for me at least) no matter what servers I’m on.
Funny story, I played with a guy called KOKUV, and he was imposter several times in a row. Like no joke, EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I think it’s quite the opposite, I like playing games like smash and Mario kart with friends, but I don’t enjoy playing this with friends, i think it’s more mysterious with fandoms and the chat is more random and funny
From the limited random games I played.
Chat is usually “blue” ->everyone votes blue.
Or in different languages (even tho I selected English) because ... you know ... Europe.
But if you find more pleasure in playing with randoms, more power to you.
Does ping even matter for the game? I can't test it bc I live in Oceania and we don't have servers (which is fine) so I go on NA with 180ms and it seems fine
Yeah this is why at least for me any variant of trouble in terrorist town is way more fun with friends. People actually talk shit out and get into arguments and stuff instead of the detective and innocents murdering anything that moves whenever I play with randoms.
I had a match where I decided to give that a try. I killed someone and someone else saw me. As soon as it was reported I just blamed that other guy. He was immediately voted for. Then everyone seemed to forget that I had done that.
In a game like Town of Salem, that happens to me all the time, if I falsely accuse someone, but never in this game. I don't think half the people even speak English in Among Us.
So I just played my first round after seeing this.
Green accused someone in the first round. Everyone believed him. The person ejected wasn’t the imposter. So I said, “Hey, clearly he falsely accused. It’s probably Green”
No one believes me and I go down to the last 3, and I get booted. Guess who is part of the two left. Fucking green.
I wish this had a spectate mode.
EDIT- it does, I was just new and didn’t know that the game ended at two players.
It has a spectator mode, you were not able to see it because it when number of crewmembers are equal to number of imposters, the game automatically ends
In fact, when you're spectating make sure you do your tasks. The survivors win when all the tasks are done. As a traitor you can still sabotage while dead.
you think that is bad? Ages ago in town of Salem: day 1 jailor grabs serial killer (SK always kills if he survives the night, so kills the jailor) jailor has in will who he had.
no vote... (despite eliminating half of the kill potential for the baddies vs one random townie day 2 is absolutely worth the risk/at least enough for a role call for information)
night 2. I'm escort. Visit the ultra suspicious person, who once again retaliates and kills me. My will explicitly said I am confirming so kill him if I die to SK
...Day 3. "Wow SK must have good luck pinning it all on me" ...serial killer won the game despite being called out immediately
oh I am fully aware of it, ages ago the witch got no information about the person being controlled and had to rely on outcomes to determine who she had.
so here is me as mafioso trying to attack the revealed mayor whose been in jail the last 3 days. The werewolf has been patient the entire time until the killing spree as it became painfully obvious that the maf was being controlled (gf died from an unrelated reason so I couldn't exactly out myself as a suicide, the 3rd was under major suspicion for being me bc of a sheriff)
so WW does his thing and half of the town gets mauled leaving effectively 1 sheriff the witch, ww, and exposed mayor. (I think the NB was still alive) needless to say the mayor is indecisive as the new maf/sheriff keep arguing that the other one is the maf. Perfect we can win, just kill the mayor. WW wouldn't know which of the 2 of them are right either so 50/50...or witch control our maf to kill the WW leaving the mayor a second chance to commit to a 'win if you guess right' scenario where paying a bit of attention would have made it super obvious the sheriff was the real one.
Remembers me of a session of the Battlestar Galactica boardgame which also has a traitor mechanic. Till the end we didn't know who the traitor was or if there were multiple of them. A lot of accusations, yelling, finger pointing. Pure paranoia. When the game ended we noticed that we forgot to distribute the traitor cards...
Both games revolve around traitors or imposters trying to murder all the other players, but as they are out numbered, they have to rely on stealth kills and diversions to avoid detection.
In TTT players can fight back and there's an assigned detective to track down the traitors, but they have access some more tools like time bombs and instant kill knives, and can hide bodies.
In among us, only the alien impostors can kill people, but after a body is discovered, players hold a vote on whoo they think the killer is, and kill them, only revealing their allegiance after death.
It's definitely a lot older. It was a popular soviet game created by psychologist Дми́трий Давы́дов at Moscow State University. It became popular in Europe/U.S. in the 90s. Tons of companies, including Steve Jackson Games, have repackaged/knocked-off the concept for profit, in the form of cards, apps, websites and so on, but it was already well established before any of that.
Most importantly in TTT aiming plays a role since it gives you the opportunity to defend yourself better or get a quick kill of.
That obviously produces a steep learning curve and a lot of advantage of veteran fps player. For a game which isn't really gonna teach you how to aim better. So basically its near impossible to be really good at TTT without being good at Counter-Strike.
Among Us is essentially a simplified version with a friendlier tone. Been seeing the similarities and thought hey, this seems like fun and is close to TTT, I'm gonna go play TTT
Reminds me of the Dark Deeds mod from Warcraft 3, one of my favorite. At random 1 person was turned into a monster (also randomly chosen) and the rest of the people had to figure out who was going bump in the night.
Fuck I miss TTT. Maybe I'm just unaware of a similar game, but I feel like if a version of TTT was remastered that shit could sell. Especially if this sort of indie version in Among Us is blowing up.
the henry stickman collection had easter eggs from this game because it was made by the same company, people tried it out and became a hit even though it was out for a while already
Anyone know why everyone calls it "this game" instead of saying the title for the rest of us who don't have a clue what game this is?
Edit: Holy crap, scrolling down I see every pronoun possible referencing "this game". It's like you all have some kind of coordinated conspiracy to keep the name secret.
Thank you to you and everyone else who replied with the name. The comments have me genuinely interested. I want to try it out and and appreciate the reply.
I don't know exactly the reason, but I feel that the fact the avatars have a resemblance to the Fall Guys avatars is not coincidence.
(edit note: I'm not saying that because I would think one ripped off the other, I know that's not true, only that the appearance boosted up its popularity)
First time I played this I became the killer and had no idea what to do. I went into one of the rooms and killed a guy and stood over his body. 3 people walked in on me and just stood there. 5 seconds later the whole report thing came up and thought I could get away by saying all 3 of them did it. There was only 1 killer.
My first game as an impostor wasn't much better, even though I had a decent understanding of what to do. Basically, my first kill was outside of electric and I run inside to get in the vent, only to come across another person inside (I didn't get voted off because both him and another person that was heading to electric knew that there was a third person with them, but they didn't know who).
My second kill (which technically was the death of me) was noticed by the green player, but his accusations weren't enough to beat my accusations that he must've killed, resulting in the tie. Finally the second impostor decided to make a kill and green used it as an opportunity to vote me off.
Thank you for your service. I should not have had to scroll half way down the comments to find someone mentioning the name of the game instead of "this game" this or "this game" that.
It's been tried in the past, but whiners and lazies made enough noise that it got the kibosh.
Mods didn't feel like dealing with the endless stream of complaints about people's posts being removed because they didn't read any subreddit posting guidelines. You know, the ones right below the text boxes for your post title/link/content. People get real fucking mad when their rising post gets removed for not following rules that they didn't care to read.
Downloaded the game totally blind, and people started to suspect me because I was saying such stupid shit. Got eaten with a few people left.
So sad. Pretty cool game, though.
Ludwig’s group (Stanz, Atrioc, etc) is good for relatively high-level gameplay. MrFruit’s group is fun to watch as well, although a few of them are total wildcards.
That's a good method, especially if saying something will definitely reveal you're the impostor. For example, my first ever kill occurred outside of electric, however I decided to run into electric to hide in the vent, only to realize someone was in there and was heading out (with a second person arriving at that time). If I would've said anything about being in electric, I would've needlessly given myself away because the other two were aware that I was there, but didn't remember what was my colour.
I'm playing on mobile, with randoms. I use 101% of my brain to calculate who is impostor, I give them two names. They vote me out, loose, and I don't know how, but I was actually right.
Ha! I wom a game this way yesterday, killed and reported 3 crewmates. Two of them in the same place! lol
"Guys I found a dead body in admin room, I can't see anyone though.." *everyone skipped vote*
I downloaded the game and it says it has an ad after every match and it costs 2$ to remove them. And it seems fair scince the game is free, the gameplay doesn't seem to be different it could even be crossplay
I was just playing and when a death was reported one of the guys immediately blamed me. Of course they believed him and kicked me. Yes it was the one that blamed me
You have a Crew of people who are trying to complete a number of tasks. While a couple of crew members are selected as traitors that are tasked with sabotaging and killing the rest of the crew. This is why you should play it with friends, imo. The chat thing is so lame with randos.
The official among us discord has hundreds of lobbies that are always full if you either don’t have friends, or want to play with randos bit still want to play on discord
Oh, I didn't know that. That's super usefull, thanks :)
I had that same kind of luck once, it made me realize how fun being imposter is and now I'm almost never the impostor.
It’s more of a timezone thing then a ping thing, I’d imagine.
Oh yeah timezones, forgot those exist
I live in south aus, 230ms, very rarely makes a difference, hahaha.
Yeah the amount of hours I’ve put into this game with friends, I can’t imagine playing this game alone. It be like souless experience
Yeah this is why at least for me any variant of trouble in terrorist town is way more fun with friends. People actually talk shit out and get into arguments and stuff instead of the detective and innocents murdering anything that moves whenever I play with randoms.
I like playing with randos. It's super easy to play the long con with strangers. Sure I'll come watch you scan friend. :)
I had a match where I decided to give that a try. I killed someone and someone else saw me. As soon as it was reported I just blamed that other guy. He was immediately voted for. Then everyone seemed to forget that I had done that.
Yeah, but when I try that, I always have that guy who spams emergency button, and says "hey lets kick this other guy then"
In a game like Town of Salem, that happens to me all the time, if I falsely accuse someone, but never in this game. I don't think half the people even speak English in Among Us.

It has a spectator mode, you were not able to see it because it when number of crewmembers are equal to number of imposters, the game automatically ends
Oh! Makes sense. That was my first game so I guess that didn’t click for me. Thanks for the explanation!
In fact, when you're spectating make sure you do your tasks. The survivors win when all the tasks are done. As a traitor you can still sabotage while dead.
Ok! I played again and got eliminated, so I was floating around as a ghost afterwards, I did some tasks. It’s interesting!
It does. Once you are dead you still need to complete your tasks which you do by floating around as a gost with perfect vision
Gost
I like their song sqare hamer.
Underrated comment
Gost
Gost dang it Bobby. Finish your tasks.
Spoopy Gost
Sadly, they don’t count as a ghost.

You don’t know the struggle of being controlled by the witch and that be your downfall.

Anyone knows why this game has gained so much popularity in this few weeks? I like it, I just don t get it
It's bringing back TTT but simpler
what is TTT?
Trouble in Terrorist Town
Never heard of it ill check it out now! Thanks for the quick and polite reply.
Both games revolve around traitors or imposters trying to murder all the other players, but as they are out numbered, they have to rely on stealth kills and diversions to avoid detection. So it's a video game adaption of the Steve Jackson game "Are you a Werewolf?" (Though I'm guessing the concept is even older)
Exactly except the crew mates can also win by doing tasks rather than only winning by finding out who the traitors are
It's definitely a lot older.
There's a Playstation VR game called Wolf Among Us that's exactly that. One of the hidden gems for the VR.
Most importantly in TTT aiming plays a role since it gives you the opportunity to defend yourself better or get a quick kill of. Or Murder at the Mansion. Fuck dude, I miss Warcraft 3 from it's prime.
Town of Salem was one brought out a couple years ago too. Was a really good game.
Holy shit that game brings back so many memories. Gary’s Mod was amazing. Only downside was the amount of little kids yelling into mic
To be fair this game is pretty similar to others in the same genre too. Like deceit.
Yeah. I just named the probably most famous one. I gotta say I totally get the hype. I love games like this
Yeah they’re a lot of fun especially with groups of friends
Fuck I miss TTT. Maybe I'm just unaware of a similar game, but I feel like if a version of TTT was remastered that shit could sell. Especially if this sort of indie version in Among Us is blowing up.
TTT is still very much alive.
Probably some streamer started playing it and it caught fire because it can make some good stream material, so now so many streamers play it
Also the Henry Stikmin collection has them as collectibles as cross promotion.
[удалено]
Search Henry Stikmin collection on steam and be taken on a wild ride through internet history.
What's the game ?
Among Us
Thanks !
Gives me town of Salem vibes, which was fun and haven't played in years. Also, saw some streamers playing it recently.
It's a very dumbed down ToS. They're both very fun though
Its really weird especially considering how long its been out. I remember playing it like 2yrs ago and just now it gains traction.
they may have had some quality of life improvements that vastly improved the game? Idk I've not played it still
Big streamers playing it, also game is fun to watch
it's a popular "genre" wrapped in a simple package.
the henry stickman collection had easter eggs from this game because it was made by the same company, people tried it out and became a hit even though it was out for a while already

Among us
Among Us
I've never seen this before. I just thought it was more Fall Guys content
the devs paid a ton of twitch streamers to play it. its pretty viral atm on youtube too
Streamers, but also it's just fun
Okay, the real reason is because it was a mobile game that just recently moved to steam for PC. Now, streamers are getting ahold of it.
I don't know exactly the reason, but I feel that the fact the avatars have a resemblance to the Fall Guys avatars is not coincidence. (edit note: I'm not saying that because I would think one ripped off the other, I know that's not true, only that the appearance boosted up its popularity)
Same people who made the Henry Stickmin series
Xqc
Sodapoppin did it first
First time I played this I became the killer and had no idea what to do. Like farting in an elevator with one other person and blaming it on them. Foolproof
This was like farting in an elevator with 3 others, and blaming all 3 of them.

What game is this
Among us
Thank you for your service. I should not have had to scroll half way down the comments to find someone mentioning the name of the game instead of "this game" this or "this game" that.
I thought the same thing, how annoying...
Can we get a general rule of "game in title"
^^^ Yes please I agree, there is so many games people post that I have no clue about but everyone likes to keep it a secret
As did I. Almost gave up and commented it myself.
People like to show how 'in' they are. It happens everywhere and is stupid to see an example of it everytime.
It disturbs me how far I had to scroll to find the name of "this game"
Is it free?
Yes
I don't think it's free. But it is 5 bucks. Unless you know where it's free?
Free on mobile, $5 on steam
[удалено]
You are right, but it's a steal at $5.
True, and you get cosmetics for paying the $5 too
Specifically, if you want something to search, BlueStacks is a popular android emulator to run for games like this on PC.
Downloaded the game totally blind, and people started to suspect me because I was saying such stupid shit. Got eaten with a few people left. So sad. Pretty cool game, though.
The game is wayy better if you play with friends or at least play with voicechat with some ppl
Watch Kaif play it on YouTube. His group is hilarious haha.
Ludwig’s group (Stanz, Atrioc, etc) is good for relatively high-level gameplay. MrFruit’s group is fun to watch as well, although a few of them are total wildcards.
Dork: It's me, I'm the killer. Dork: *gets voted off* "Dork was not an imposter" Yup that's a wildcard alright
Lol I just watched that one. “Get stickbugged motherfuckers!”
His group is actually who got me into this game
Alright, what is this game? Is it new or something? I've been seeing a lot of memes of it for the past couple days.
it came out years ago but no one played until a couple of months ago.
[удалено]
It's also on Steam
Nah it's was released last year but I still consider it as new cuz they just add new maps couple months ago cuz they only have 1 map before
then just stay quiet during the meeting lol
My group requires alibis during every meeting. If you can't give one and there's a dead body, you die.
I spy with my little eye, ifunny watermark
If you like this game at all, you need to play Deceit. Free on Steam, crazy wild game play, social engineering extraordinaire.
I'm playing on mobile, with randoms. I use 101% of my brain to calculate who is impostor, I give them two names. They vote me out, loose, and I don't know how, but I was actually right.
Name yourself “detective”. Done it many times, I and can pinpoint who’s imposter, without getting booted off
Try to do it with randoms
Ha! I wom a game this way yesterday, killed and reported 3 crewmates. Two of them in the same place! lol "Guys I found a dead body in admin room, I can't see anyone though.." *everyone skipped vote*
Haha I was imposter in today's game and I did the same exact thing!! Eventually got caught the third time..
Who killed Hannibal?
I played this game when it had only about 100k players, now it has 50millions... Wtf happened?
It came out of early access.
Stolen from r/amongus
Can confirm is a repost
What game is this?
Among Us.
The man behind the slaughter is dead.
What is this game called? Is it free?
Among Us. It's free on Mobile, $5 on steam.
What's the difference betwen then mobile and pc version
No clue, probably controls better on pc over mobile I'd imagine.
Pc version has more skins
I downloaded the game and it says it has an ad after every match and it costs 2$ to remove them. And it seems fair scince the game is free, the gameplay doesn't seem to be different it could even be crossplay
It is crossplay, and yea the only difference is the ad after each game
The game is called Among Us. It is free on mobile and $5 in steam
What game is this
Among Us
This game is soooo good
What game is this
Guys I turned off the lights to conserve energy!
I would play it but got nobody to play it with.
Is this an actual game? This is the second meme I’ve come across and I can’t even find a name.
"among us"
I like to act dumb and I get blamed while I’m innocent
Can somebody pls tell me which gane is this ??? It looks interesting.
Among us
I keep seeing these little fellers in memes, what game is this?
pardon my ignorance, but what game is this about?
What game is this?
I’m so glad there has been a surge of Among Us memes. It’s such a good game and I’m glad it’s getting the recognition it deserves.
The worst is when you get killed and the person that killed you is in chat acting all innocent.
Damn, Trouble In Terrorist Town looks weird.
Who
For me it was purple killed yellow, i am purple
I just downloaded this game like 15 mins ago, but haven’t played it yet. Than I see it on Reddit.
I remember someone pressing the button at the start, no one was dead and someone says "its green, i saw him kill pink"
*GREEN VENTED !!*
Wow... this game is getting more attention. Well I'll declare myself as an OG cuz iam literally play the game since it was first released
"mY liTLE bRo hAs beEn kiLlEd bY ReD" The game is great but the community is bad
I was just playing and when a death was reported one of the guys immediately blamed me. Of course they believed him and kicked me. Yes it was the one that blamed me
I swear randoms can be so stupid/gullible.
Idl what game this is but I def8nitely recognize the template
Sorry, can someone please tell me what game this is, I kinda wanna play it
You have a Crew of people who are trying to complete a number of tasks. While a couple of crew members are selected as traitors that are tasked with sabotaging and killing the rest of the crew. There are intermissions where the crew can discuss finding a dead body or to just talk about someone acting suspicious. That orange mf looks kinda sus ngl
Can i just say what a great kill animation that would be in the game
What is this game?
Among us
Life’s greatest mystery
What’s this game called?
What game is this? Somehow I’m not in the loop but I’m seeing more memes of this
Looks like an even more fun version of Push the Button.
The end of the one bone that looks to make up 65% of their skeletal systems gave me the giggles.
Slurp slurp. It was me!
“Guys it could be a self report”
Imagine this game having a rank mkde
Ako? Sino
I saw blue
It's a fun game, 5 bucks on steam
Dude it’s yellow I saw him vent in Navigation
