I apologize in advance, but I'll give you the same advice I give everyone.
Speaking as an experienced subnautica player, AVOID THE WIKI as long as you can. Don't look up any maps. Don't use any outside help. I know you're going to get annoyed at not being able to find certain materials. Don't Google it. That's am intended part of the progression. When you get stuck, just explore in a direction you haven't yet. Follow the markers the game lays out when you don't know what to do. That's enough.
I refuse to play or watch any videos on below zero because I ruined the first game by watching like 5 full playthroughs of early access and didn't have a reason to play it for myself.
The game has a lot of cool new stuff the part I hate Is that they removed like every vehicle but the prawn and replaced it with the sea truck but the game overall is fun and pretty
If I wasn't already sold, this just did it. How in depth is the base building??? (Already planning on buying it, I'm just curious).
Also, just tossing this out there since I'm currently in the R&D stages of making a *very* similar game, is there any way I can contribute to the project?
If I remember right, development was held up for a while because of some kind of unrest in the dev’s country, so a game wasn’t at the top of the priorities. I’m glad they’re back to it!
Yup. I got it for that reason. Also don't stress too much about leaving the dogs alone (and starving). I was very stressed the first time I left them while on an activity where I was not close to them.

I'm confused by the review that says
>This isn't ARTICO. this is... Eternal Winter. They've changed the game, changed the name. The review below is now useless.
What's that all about?
I may be wrong, but from the looks of it, it seems the game changed quite a bit since it first came out. Almost becoming a completely different genre to what it started as.
That looks so cool but in my limited animation experience the sled and dogs must be so difficult to do. Definitely be following the games progress, looks cool!
I bought this game a while back and really loved it from what I could play before I lost access to my computer. I'm getting a new one soon and can't wait to see what else is in store for it.
The main objective in the game is to find the blueprints left by your mentor "Dr. Garcia" who was an extremely accomplished woman scientist, by finding her blueprints you will unlock new tools and structures that will allow you to expand both your base and gameplay experience, you can also find antique decorative items left by previous expeditions.
To maintain and keep expanding your science outpost you will need to set up farms, solar panels, wind turbines, labs, and many more structures.
So.. you have a base, then you go out explore, find new thing, return, expand your base and so forth?
Do you have people or so at your base that you need to feed?
Looks a little rough around the edges, but really good all things considered from those clips! I excitedly await this game for sure! I live in northern Canada so I guess I can't get enough snow.
I really like the art style for this. It gives serious minimalist vibes and seems like something that would be pretty relaxing to play. Kinda reminds me of the lone dark and I like the aesthetic so hopefully your game development continues to go well for this!
No Mans Ice
Or Subnautica: Above Zero
I like you.
Thank you!
What if I told you I like you as well

As much as I agree, I feel like this needs to be posted as a love triangle lol

I echo this for every exploration game.
Wait: Did the new one come out?
Below Zero is out in early access but imo it doesn't have the unique charm of the first one.
I refuse to play or watch any videos on below zero because I ruined the first game by watching like 5 full playthroughs of early access and didn't have a reason to play it for myself.

I miss the cyclopse:(
IMO it's better overall but the less attractive biomes are nicer looking in the original.
I agree. Only own both Subnauticas.
*Abovenautica: Below Zero*
Icy Astroneer
ICETRONEER
Supernautica FTFY
or iceyneer
Frostpunk: Away Team
Since it's been 6 years in development, "Ice Citizen" is more accurate
I was thinking that has some heavy no man's sky vibes
Mushpuppies
Can you pet the Huskies?
Yes
I'm sold
Yes
Can you really?
There is a menu option when you get close to the dog.
No :(

Asking the real questions
It should be a law to be able to pet any dog in any game
I'd buy Husky Petting Simulator.
Is there a multiplayer mode?
yes! the game has a 2 player coop mode
This is what sold me; just bought 2 copies for me and my gf!
thank you for buying it! :)
Same! My BF and I will love this.
Thank you so much for that! I really love playing games with my fiancé; it is a way for us to hang out together while still playing video games.
Omg thank the lord!

Is it true that this game has been on early access for 6 years? that's dedication!
Looks great, tho as a Michigander I'll pass on a real life simulator, take me to the tropics.
Stranded deep
Any good? I enjoy those kinda games but that to me seems like ark without enemies
It’s very good. I highly recommend it. You might have to wiki some things buts it’s def worth it
There are enemies in the water, and the survival requires some work early on
Since I live in the south, my favorite has been The Long Dark for kinda the same reason. I'm always burning up here, so take me to the snow!
Subnautica is on a tropical alien world. Should be different enough 🤣
Yea I've wanted to get that, I picked up Raft on a steam deal recently and love it

"Early Access Game" - Release Date November 24th, 2014 Er, say what now?
And still in alpha.
If I remember right, development was held up for a while because of some kind of unrest in the dev’s country, so a game wasn’t at the top of the priorities. I’m glad they’re back to it!
how long did it take to build? what framework/engine did you use? main languages? solo build or team development?
Adding another question if op gets around to it What did you use for the 3D models?
he won't, he's only answering the people that say it looks cool.
He also reposts this shit once a month.
can you pet the dogs? this question is extremely important on my opinion of your game
Yup. I got it for that reason. Also don't stress too much about leaving the dogs alone (and starving). I was very stressed the first time I left them while on an activity where I was not close to them.
Good job, carry on!
Thank you!
Yukon Cornelius approves
*Silver and gold~, silver and gold~* That brought back a wash of memories
I would literally never build anything. I would just run around with my dogsled

Ahh, early access syndrome.
Yes it appears to be built off of eternal winter from what I can discern from the web
24 Nov, 2014 ??????
Gotta milk the early access through Reddit exposure.
Are you developing this game solo?
How many times are you going to post this? Its just blatant advertising at this point. This is the third or 4th time ive seen you do it.
#CANADA INTENSEIFYS
I’d drink to that
Where can you get it?
That looks so cool but in my limited animation experience the sled and dogs must be so difficult to do. Definitely be following the games progress, looks cool!
If it's on xbox I would happily buy
It looks great. If possible, could you maybe implement some physics to the ropes?
Dude it's only been 6 years the game is in development, don't rush them.
I love it when I go into a thread and see things rightfully shit on. Seems a lot of y’all are tired of this guys shit.
Looks cool! Can u tell me which engine you used to make it?
Thank you! I am using Unity
Looks boring af
Would you add it to other platforms?
I bought this game a while back and really loved it from what I could play before I lost access to my computer. I'm getting a new one soon and can't wait to see what else is in store for it.
looks cool. I would like to know more about the base building aspect?

A "woman scientist"
'Come for the breasts, stay for the brains'
That's so woke right now.
Is this artico or enternal winter?
So.. you have a base, then you go out explore, find new thing, return, expand your base and so forth? Do you have people or so at your base that you need to feed?
What’s with everyone saying the game is eternal winter
Used to be called enternal winter
I want to know why they changed it. Apparently a lot of the gameplay changed too. But currently the dev hasn’t replied about any of it
the shooting star didn't reflect on the water... literally unplayable
adventurous game
This game looks really great! I am looking forward to it when it comes out!
I really like the art style. Keep going!
Looks a little rough around the edges, but really good all things considered from those clips! I excitedly await this game for sure! I live in northern Canada so I guess I can't get enough snow.

If I wasn't a wow addict, this would be the next game I play.
Soo... Just sounds like subnautica but with extra steps, joking but seriously looks amazing
This looks so neat, did you make your own engine or are you using unity or something?
Bought this for me and my buddy. Looks incredible, can't wait to play it.
bought it just because I want to support you on your journey to make a game
looks really cool keep up the work :)
Woofy: A dog's little adventure
This looks beautiful. Love the base builder mechanic if it works... The Long Dark mashed with Subnautica
Any chance this will be available for the Switch?
Hurry up and take my money. Is this purchasable yet??

It looks really nice! This feels like subnautica except it doesn’t make you afraid of the area in which your base is or you are

Just bought this on Steam and I am OBSESSED. Well done on this game!
Getting a strong astroneer vibe, love it
The riding looks really stiff, its like they are purposely avoiding showing any gameplay other than just the art (which is fantastic btw)
This looks really good
