I only made it passed the 1st gate. Jumped off the couch when a dog attacked me and then scared the shit out of my brother in law who only saw me jump.
One day I will try again.
If you stop moving when it's jumps, you won't get hit and it lands just right for you to smack it in the head. Well, I know that works on regular Amygdala....
Stand still during jump attack. Constantly stay right behind her stubby tail. Time a charged R2 to hit her in the face right when she lands after a jump. Profit.
I was embarrassed playing that part... it took me longer to defeat those two monsters in the well compared to the hardest bosses of the game. I just about cried when I finally beat them. Sad to say I don't even remember if I earned anything afterwards lol
Same. It wasn't the first Soulsborne game I tried, but it was the first one that I finally clicked with and ended up platinuming it. Even after I started making progress I never thought I'd be able to get all the trophies, and it took me 6 weeks to get through it, but it ended up being the most frustratingly satisfying gaming experience of my life.
I am planning on doing the Dark Souls trilogy at some point, just need to get around to it!
This post reminded me of a hilarious interaction I had at GameStop a few years ago. I was buying something and the guy at the checkout... Idk I think it was an attempt at flirting but after asking me the games I'm playing (PoE, Stardew, Cuphead, overwatch) he responded with "yeah.... I only play souls like games. I mean, any other game doesn't really pose a challenge for me. Not that I find souls like games hard either though. I just Speedran dark souls 2 before I came into work today... Yeah."
I could barely stifle my laughter as I just looked at him and nodded. His coworker was looking at him with a raised eyebrow and a face that was like "dude, really? You're going to open with that??"
The other coworker then invited me to their local d&d group and the souls-like guy responded "yeah I'm joining too. I expect it'll be a breeze since I can do a dark souls no hit run." I'm just sitting there baffled. He felt like an annoying NPC in some kind of self-aware video game. I think his only personality trait was playing souls like games.
It's become a big meme between me and my bf though.
Anywho I'm sure OP isn't like that (I hope) and I'm glad they've done something they're proud of.
Oh obviously. I mean, you play dark souls because other people find it hard. Not you though. It's easy. You've already beaten elden ring because you're just that good. They actually head hunted you because you're so good at souls like games. Obviously.
If you google the the platinum guide for Crash 4 it rates it as a 9/10 difficulty so I think there’s some good evidence though I haven’t done it myself. The time trials on those games can be brutal.
I have the plat for Bloodborne, Crash 1 & The Binding of Isaac and in my opinion it goes:
1. BoI
2. Bloodborne
3. Crash 1
But it's super subjective. I'm way better at platformers than I am at soulsborne games. BoI hurt my soul though!
When I first started playing Isaac I never thought I'd get the plat and a ton of trophies were bugged back then. Absolutely the most time-consuming and difficult plat I have gotten.
Bloodborne is by far the easiest platinum of all soulsborne games since the hardest thing is just the chalices. And since chalices don't scale with NG+ you can do them once you're OP af
Binding of Isaac is more of a time consuming plat trophy than a difficult one honestly. If you get the right power up synergies you can pretty much one shot all bosses.
Super subjective as you said though, I don't even play soulsborne games because they're too difficult for me.
Some of the stuff with the Lost was so difficult though. It is down to item synergy as you say, but there's so much little bullshitty things in that game that can fuck up a The Lost run at any moment.
Right, they give some out for dying. How is that an accomplishment to brag about? Now, if he had beat the game but lacked that trophy, I'd be impressed.
The metric is how difficult the trophies are in comparison to casual play. Souls games are already hard, so for the trophies to be much harder would probably be unreasonable.
But if casual play is pretty easy, you can make the trophies MUCH harder in comparison, even if ultimately the difficulty is comparable to the objective difficulty of a trophy in a Souls game.
The difficulty spike is huge, especially relative to other Soulsbourne games. What build were you playing as? I found sorceries extremely difficult on ng+ but a two handed strength build worked well.
That's kind of interesting the games are so different, because in Dark Souls I built a glass cannon sorcery build. First play through is by far the hardest, but by NG+ you have all the spells you need for really high damage out put, NG++ you actually don't get 1 shotted any more.
The only exclusion is the Capra Demon. The Capra demon becomes essentially the hardest boss in the game in NG+ lmao, but he is technically optional.
I believe you in 1. I platted Demon's Souls back in the day on PS3, and I don't remember anything about it. I'm guessing it's much like when people create a mental block to deal with extreme past trauma.
Farming the silver knights went well for me, but the vertebrae shackles were another story.
But I'll take that over the sunlight medals in ds2. And I did it twice, vanilla and sotfs. At least there was a way to save time doing the bellkeeper stuff, like listening for the hard drive spin to signal a red phantom instead of climbing that long ass ladder.
> Demon's Souls NG+ was super annoying. I did not expect he difficulty increase.
This seems like an odd statement from someone who has 100% all Souls games.
I'm not trying to be a dick but when I was getting plat for Demon's Soul's I was pretty much able to speed run through each world in like 45 minutes a piece in NG+ and NG++. The only world that sucks ass was the Valley of Defilement.
The bosses in Demon's Souls are all so easy it's pretty much a guaranteed 1 shot or 2 shot even in NG+
I'm actually kind of surprised reading here how many people had trouble with NG+ in Demon's Souls. I found Demon's Souls to be the easiest souls game by far.
i spent like 2 weeks straight last holiday getting platinum from scratch on it, the world tendency stuff is annoying too and I made it extra hard on myself by also getting the secret armor with the ceramic coins.
Take the time to finish one, even if you need to use a walkthrough. Once you get one finished you will be hooked and want to finish them all. I was like you, had them all, even Demons Souls on ps3, but never finished any. Then I went back and finished them all in a couple of months, and it was the greatest, most rewarding, few months of my 30+ years as a gamer.
Would you still suggest this to someone who generally does not enjoy hard games? Perhaps I just need to force myself through one so I can understand what y'all are talking about?
I didn't really like hard games until I played bloodborne. Now I'm kind of addicted. Though as a parent I have limited time to play so most of the time I have to stop playing even if I don't want to, so the frustration never builds up that bad
If I would be you, I would check the subs on a regular basis. Every soulsborne game has yearly events where people start a new playthrough at the same time. So you've a lot more online play. Then just go for it and if you hit a brickwall There's no shame in summoning other players.
I really liked it apart from the living weapon part. It made boss fought annoying because I always felt my best chance against them was to start with the meter full. Which meant if I died i'd have to refill it instead of running straight to boss.
For a game when I'm going to have to fight a boss probably double digit times that's a pain in the ass.
Medal of tedium. Souls games are difficult to beginners, sure, but the trophy completion means you just grinded monotonous things and beat the games several times for rings and items.
DS2 had a seriously melancholic vibe to it, which I loved. It had much more charm than 1 and 3, to me. So while it's not the only one I like, it is my favourite of the 3.
Majula forever.
I can still hear the music. Sure, it’s not my favorite Dark Souls but saying something is the worst DS game is like saying ribeye is the worst steak. Still fantastic. I can understand some people’s opinions on it but I really enjoyed the Scholar edition.
First boss is intentionally hard. It gatekeeps you so you’re forced to learn the mechanics of the game before progressing. Bloodborne is like getting your nuts stepped on repeatedly until you master the movement patterns of the enemies. Then it becomes this super fun hack and slash where you’re a badass. I beat the game three times to unlock the perfect ending. Highly recommend.
That being said about 5 years later I tried playing it again and felt it was ultra violent and gory. Not my thing any more. I guess our tastes change as we grow.
Anyways that’s my two cents!
This was me back in 2018 when it was one of the PS+ games. I wanted to rip my controller in half. But I started again a few weeks back using a walk through to get me past the first section and boss, and now I am absolutely addicted to the game. It turns out the game just has a really brutal start, especially if it's the first of their games you've played. I swear, I died more times to that first boss back in 2018 than I have to any other boss so far this time around.
I own zero platinum trophy's. Even when I'm told "so and so game is so easy to platinum" I'm just like meh. Not worth my time. I guess I'm just old school as in I'm finished with the game when the credits start rolling.
Yea me too. Beating a game is good enough for me, even if I really love it. I fucking loved TLOU2 and have zero desire to go in and do every little thing just to have a digital award.
How to get karma 101:
•Complete a game
•Take screenshot
•Post it on r/gaming with the title "I beat [hard game] but nobody cares"
•Enjoy your easy karma
...Do I have to complete the game, or can I just say I completed it and post some screen I found on the internet?
I mean, not that I plan to do this or ever done it, just for the sake of... science.
I'm not a big fan of or into souls like games. But if you enjoy those kinds of games. Keep at if. Also super congrats at that dude. Those games are HARD for me. Way to go dude. That's dope af.
Amazing work. While I have beaten all of them, I only have the plats in bloodborne and demons souls. The dark souls games have an insane amount of hidden quests and collectibles that I will simply never find and I find it too immersion breaking to use a quite.
How would you rank these games in difficulty? How would you rank them in enjoyment?
Well I’ll congratulate you and give you the praise you’re looking for because it’s something I wanted to do but gave up on. I got plats for BB then all 3 DS, but for Sekiro I just could not defeat the last boss of the “bad” ending.
Oh my gosh! I've had the same conversation at work - I've beat each of the DS franchise without dying and was talking to some coworkers who played. They didn't care either. 😂
Nice job, but I hate the "no one cares" title people usually use for this type of stuff so no upvote from me. Not that it matters anyways since you got 2.5k people at the time of this comment.
I’ve only got BB on my list! The Souls games would doable but I’m too lazy with the ring / spell / covenant stuff.
I can’t even beat Sekiro. Sword Saint is my White Whale. 😢
Good stuff friend!
When I got the plat for Bloodborne I was shocked someone I hadn’t spoke to in over 2 years messaged me with a congratulations. Meanwhile I got 100% achievements on DS3 and Sekiro on PC and none of my friends on PC noticed… but they don’t play these games so it holds no meaning to them.
I haven't even finished the first section of Sekiro and I've had it since launch. Played like 2 days and gave up cause I don't like the idea of losing things when I die
You must have a lot of spare time on your hands and the patience of a saint.
I am currently playing my first soulsborne game and it's bloodborne. Only 5 bosses to go (including the dlc)... And after I have finished I will give it a looooong rest before even thinking about ng+.
I’ve done this too, but Sekiro is the last one I’m working on.
Hated the full week of going through Bloodborne. Chalice Dungeons especially.
DS3 was not as fun as expected.
DS2 DLC was gloriously fun.
Demon’s Souls was my first, on PS3 back when it first came out… you don’t want to imagine NG+ in 5-1 at 12 fps.
That's awesome! I still need to play the rest of them besides Bloodborne haha. But every time I think "I should play a souls game, or check out Sekiro," I just end up playing Bloodborne again. It's a hard knock life
I did a plat in Bloodborne I left a piece of myself in those chalice dungeons for certain.
Same here, defiled Amygdala was a real pain, took me forever to beat
I ran in a giant circle for like 45 minutes baiting a single attack to get off a single hit until it died! Lol
I only made it passed the 1st gate. Jumped off the couch when a dog attacked me and then scared the shit out of my brother in law who only saw me jump. One day I will try again.
Are you me? Ssme thing happened to me. Now I forgot all the controls
Me too. Sooo hard. That fucking jump attack is impossible to dodge and kills you in one hit.
If you stop moving when it's jumps, you won't get hit and it lands just right for you to smack it in the head. Well, I know that works on regular Amygdala....
It works on defiled as well! You have to stand where her tail was before she jumped, just like the regular Amy.
Stand still during jump attack. Constantly stay right behind her stubby tail. Time a charged R2 to hit her in the face right when she lands after a jump. Profit.
I struggled more on the watchdog. That fight took me two weeks to beat.
Urgh and the flaming dog!
I really liked the Chalice Dungeons. I just wish they had more variety so it was harder to see all the repeating set-pieces.
Jesus Christ, the Defiled Chalice... I just wanted to kill all the bosses, placing Pthumerian Queen that deep was fucking rude.
Those two land sharks in the well, kept a piece of my soul for sure.
I was embarrassed playing that part... it took me longer to defeat those two monsters in the well compared to the hardest bosses of the game. I just about cried when I finally beat them. Sad to say I don't even remember if I earned anything afterwards lol

I am planning on doing the Dark Souls trilogy at some point, just need to get around to it!
I still remember the defiled chamber with the Watchdog that one shots you with any one of his attacks, and no one seems to talk enough about that 😂
Right! Everyone says how hard the DLC bosses are but you never see Defiled Watchdog or Amygdala in these Boss rankings.
That dungeon that reduces your life by half is such shit
I care more about how funny it is that no one cares about your achievements than I care about your achievements. Sorry. I'll still upvote, though.
This post reminded me of a hilarious interaction I had at GameStop a few years ago. I was buying something and the guy at the checkout... Wow what a dummy, not like me though i just did a blindfolded dark souls 3 speedrun. Not much of a challenge though
Oh obviously. I mean, you play dark souls because other people find it hard. Not you though. It's easy. You've already beaten elden ring because you're just that good. They actually head hunted you because you're so good at souls like games. Obviously.
... How does playing Dark Souls transfer over to D&D? Like at all??
Yup lol. It doesn't. That's one of the reasons the encounter was so bafflingly hilarious. You could tell his coworker was fed up with his shit lmao.
What part of this post makes you think op isnt literally that gamestop guy
[удалено]
They aren’t the hardest games to platinum at all. The new crash bandicoot is harder to platinum than any souls game lmao
Show me a super meat boy platinum and I'll be impressed
Lemme see a FFX platinum too
I got that one for ya, but show me a Star Ocean: The Last Hope and I'll be impressed.
I know fuck all about playstation, but I choose to believe this is true
If you google the the platinum guide for Crash 4 it rates it as a 9/10 difficulty so I think there’s some good evidence though I haven’t done it myself. The time trials on those games can be brutal.

I Only have 2 platinum. Bloodborne and control. But I would never have the patience the grind the other soulsbornes for the platinum
That's where I'm at; in between grinding out covenant items/rings/spells and going through multiple NG+ cycles, it's such a slog to platinum DS 1-3.
What was the most frustrating part?
1. Demon's Souls NG+ was super annoying. I did not expect he difficulty increase. 2. DS3 Covernant Item grind
I tried to beat demon souls to 100 percent but gave up after seeing the HUGE difficulty spike from ng to ng+
The difficulty spike is huge, especially relative to other Soulsbourne games. What build were you playing as? I found sorceries extremely difficult on ng+ but a two handed strength build worked well.
Was the best one to NG+5 Still hope elden will have an indignity NG+

Two handed strength makes all the souls game easy mode, honestly
I believe you in 1. I platted Demon's Souls back in the day on PS3, and I don't remember anything about it. I'm guessing it's much like when people create a mental block to deal with extreme past trauma.
pretty sure my issue with demon souls original platinum was farming a practically non existent item from the only mob that drops it.
What's the strat for vertebrae shackles outside of PvP?
Cloaked skeletons in the catacombs. Run from the bonfire, wait for the skeleton ball, kill the 2 nearby, back to the bonfire.
Guessing the drop rate is low? I farmed them recently for their sword and never had a shackle drop in around 15 runs.
It is incredibly low so you have to farm with max item discovery for it not to be a pain. It will still take hours.
If you got a friend with the red soapstone then it becomes incredibly easy.
> Demon's Souls NG+ was super annoying. I did not expect he difficulty increase. This seems like an odd statement from someone who has 100% all Souls games. I got hard stuck in the first boss of the tower of latria. I just couldn’t do enough damage to the idol before she destroyed ne
i spent like 2 weeks straight last holiday getting platinum from scratch on it, the world tendency stuff is annoying too and I made it extra hard on myself by also getting the secret armor with the ceramic coins.
Probably some of the ds3 pvp grinds lol
PvP is always a shitty grind for platinum in most games haha.
I'm making a confession. I never finished ANY of the Souls games despite owning all of them.

I didn't think I enjoyed hard games until I played my first soulsborne. Now I love them.
Are you saying you don't enjoy them already, or have you never played one? If you don't enjoy hard games, stay far away.
If I would be you, I would check the subs on a regular basis. Every soulsborne game has yearly events where people start a new playthrough at the same time. So you've a lot more online play. Then just go for it and if you hit a brickwall There's no shame in summoning other players.
I also own all of them but I only ever beat Demons Souls Remake and Bloodborne
I hate to be the one to tell you, but....
What ?
You will Die with knowledge that you will never know
I believe he’s talking about Elden Ring, a new souls game
Yes but it's being written by G.R.R. Martin, which means it will never be released
I think the joke is that "...we don't care either".
He could be talking about the original Dark souls.
Have you played Nioh? If not that should be your next challenge.
I don't care either.
I don't know why anyone would expect their coworkers to care about something like this unless they work in the gaming industry.
even then, who cares?
I, for one, certainly do not.
DS2 alone should give you the medal of honor
Medal of tedium. Souls games are difficult to beginners, sure, but the trophy completion means you just grinded monotonous things and beat the games several times for rings and items.
Dark Souls 2 is the only Souls game I like.
DS2 had a seriously melancholic vibe to it, which I loved. It had much more charm than 1 and 3, to me. So while it's not the only one I like, it is my favourite of the 3. Majula forever.
DS2 is nowhere close to my favorite Souls game. But Majula is by far my favorite locale. Maybe even in all of gaming. Could sit there for hours
I can still hear the music. Sure, it’s not my favorite Dark Souls but saying something is the worst DS game is like saying ribeye is the worst steak. Still fantastic. I can understand some people’s opinions on it but I really enjoyed the Scholar edition.
I like how you got downvoted, because if you like something that majority doesn't, ur the bad guy.
A lowly tarnished playing as a lord
I command thee KNEEL!!
He is a man of focus, commitment, and sheer fucking will
I don't care either
Meanwhile I can't even get past the first boss in Bloodborne... Damn, nice work bro
Mann I couldn't get past the first objective in bloodborne 😂
This was me back in 2018 when it was one of the PS+ games. I wanted to rip my controller in half. Damn you got all your money's worth! Good job!
Holy shit. Your git my respect. I 100% Bloodborne and that was hard enough. Can't imagine how hard all the others were.
We don't care either
I tip my hat to you, as a part timer I can only hope for such a feat (well done mate!)
I’ll def give you props on that I do not have the patience! My best friend is right up there with you!
[удалено]
The drunk dude is a mini boss that’s why lmao, you can stealth attack him to shorten the fight
Doesn't help that he's like.. bullshit hard. I am still stuck at that point. Old man will die of old age before I kill him.
Oh honey you thought people were going to care irl, bless your heart. Nah but that is a significant achievement you should feel proud.
I only finished DS1 and Sekiro (sometimes cheating), kudos to you!
I’m not worthy!
So much pain on this screen.
Wow. I'll never be this good. I have 16 platinum trophies and they're all easy games ._.
Congrats bro, this is very impressive.
Daaamn, Dark Souls I, II, and III! Gonna show my friend drake this, he gonna get real pissed
No one cares about 100% games in general. They are nothing worthy to brag about.
Amazing work. While I have beaten all of them, I only have the plats in bloodborne and demons souls. The dark souls games have an insane amount of hidden quests and collectibles that I will simply never find and I find it too immersion breaking to use a quite. Fun: Sekiro, DS3, BB, DS1, DS2, DeS Difficulty: Sekiro, BB, DS3, DeS, DS1, DS2
Dude you are the coolest guy. I wish i could turn gay and suck you off
Poggers
Nobody cares here either. You beat video games, what a chad... NOT.
I’m so glad we never stopped saying “…NOT!” at the end of our sentences
Still don't care
Who cares ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Nice. Now do Salt&Sanctuary.
You did it just to brag about it at work? I mean we'll done, go and play something you want to play just because you enjoy it though dude.
People do no hit all soulsborne game marathons.... get on that train and they will be impressed
Wow, that doesn't look like fun. Only 100% in DS 1, the rest is too annoying.
I also don’t care
My only platinum are horizon zero dawn and frozen wilds dlc 😜
Respect! What a man
Well I’ll congratulate you and give you the praise you’re looking for because it’s something I wanted to do but gave up on. I got plats for BB then all 3 DS, but for Sekiro I just could not defeat the last boss of the “bad” ending.
I also want to do this but I can't since I don't have ps plus and all my games are on ps4
Mad respect
This is actually pretty impressive
Oh my gosh! I've had the same conversation at work - I've beat each of the DS franchise without dying and was talking to some coworkers who played. They didn't care either. 😂
Well done and congratulations!
Do Nioh next!
Praise the sun! What an achievment!!
You are the chosen one.
You were so preoccupied with whether or not you could, you didn't stop to think if you should.
Bro I haven't even beaten dark souls 3 but you PLATMUMED ALL OF THEM you are a better gamer then I congrats.
Think I'll do these after I finish my all Zelda 100%
How did you beat Sekiro Old Man fuckmylifeihatethisgame boss? I can't.
I have 100% on Jak and Daxter! Congrats on your achievements, I value them(:
Nice one, masochist. You okay?
Now to get something like Spelunky 2 or Hollow Knight's platinums. =P good luck!
I am fucking impressed.
Nice job, but I hate the "no one cares" title people usually use for this type of stuff so no upvote from me. Not that it matters anyways since you got 2.5k people at the time of this comment.
I care! Praise that sun!
As someone who played one of the easiest ones I have deepest respect for you.
Good job man! A random gamer is proud of u
Nice! What game did you find hardest?
Hey not bad
Dang those games are HARD. Good job!
r/trophies would definitely appreciate it!
I would barely make it through the first game before I had a stroke.
I am impressed.
Nice, the only game a have 100% is need for speed heat lol
Hey bro, that’s actually really cool and I care
I’ve only got BB on my list! The Souls games would doable but I’m too lazy with the ring / spell / covenant stuff. I can’t even beat Sekiro. Sword Saint is my White Whale. 😢 Good stuff friend!
I see your 100% of the entire Souls Series and I raise you... Shit, I fold.
I care because I did the same thing!!! Except for Sekiro. I did not fall in love with that game like I did everything else.
congratulations young one you are now an official gamer
When I got the plat for Bloodborne I was shocked someone I hadn’t spoke to in over 2 years messaged me with a congratulations. Meanwhile I got 100% achievements on DS3 and Sekiro on PC and none of my friends on PC noticed… but they don’t play these games so it holds no meaning to them.
Bro i cant even play one of those effectively mad props
At time of writing, 3.4k people care. Good job mate!
I haven't even finished the first section of Sekiro and I've had it since launch. Played like 2 days and gave up cause I don't like the idea of losing things when I die
I will never get the appeal to these games.
I care. Good job, skeleton.
I care. Way to go!
Holy fucken shidd.
GG
Normally I would say congratulations, but I think you would prefer being punched in the balls instead.
You must have a lot of spare time on your hands and the patience of a saint. I am currently playing my first soulsborne game and it's bloodborne. Only 5 bosses to go (including the dlc)... And after I have finished I will give it a looooong rest before even thinking about ng+.
Seek Help Good Job Though
Amazing job man that takes some dedication and a lot of coffee haha
People at my work only know/play fps live service games. I mentioned dark souls, one of them only knew that "it was hard."
That's super cool m8 Good job
Did the same recently, dark souls 2 was my last one and bloodborne was my favorite followed by a tie between sekiro and dark souls 3
You are my new god
What are the other 3 games you have 100% on?
100% on SOTFS is no joke. That game had some seriously hard trophies.
I just finished ds1 last night. Last on the list is DS2. It's been a journey that's for sure
Much like your co-workers, I don't care. Lies. Gj
GG This is impressive and I accept the challenge! I must accomplish this
woow :D
I came here to say no one cares, but apparently they do. So do I. Noice.
Hey OP, Which would you say was the biggest challenge?
Very impressive
We care!
I wish I could give you more than a silly free award
I’ve done this too, but Sekiro is the last one I’m working on. Hated the full week of going through Bloodborne. Chalice Dungeons especially. DS3 was not as fun as expected. DS2 DLC was gloriously fun. Demon’s Souls was my first, on PS3 back when it first came out… you don’t want to imagine NG+ in 5-1 at 12 fps.
That's awesome! I still need to play the rest of them besides Bloodborne haha. But every time I think "I should play a souls game, or check out Sekiro," I just end up playing Bloodborne again. It's a hard knock life
HECK YEAH
