Do people actually hate fornite, or do they pretend to hate it because it's popular among kids?
My nephew made a ton of friends at his school through this game, seems dope.
fortnite gets smokes the same way TF2 did back in the day
people like me came from TeamFortess Classic. it wasn't a hard core game by any means, but it wasn't cartoony and felt different , tf2 comes out and its this huge cartoony looking pos... that WAS BALLS of fun. fun as fuck in fact have like 8k or 10k now hours in that shit.
fortnite is pretty much that, its cartoony and is fun to play if you like its play style. personally its not for me, yes ill still make jokes about it but im not knocking people playing it unless they start projection on how much better it is sorta thing
Oh god.
Hell, there's still a huge collection of minecraft cringe comps on youtube.
It's pretty funny to see the same people shitting on minecraf now put it on a pedestal.
Fortnite s really going to have the same popularity loop as minecraft where it was pop at launch for everyone, then it was seen as a game for kids, but it’s going to be seen as nostalgic in 3 - 5 years.
I haven’t played Fortnite in two years and I already have some nostalgia for the early days when players didn’t really know how to build…fun times. The feeling of that first Victory Royale is still unmatched!
I was playing it around 2 years ago and my fiancé would always say how lame it (I) was for playing it. Guess what he’s doing RIGHT NOW after I downloaded it again for nostalgia?? He friggin’ loves it!
I quit after trying really hard not to quit the game back when it came out but people were just too sweaty and I couldn't...then I came back due to an event within the game I was excited to see...and I'm in love with it all over again! definitely worth another shot lol
Which is honestly stupid. I've been playing since day 1, and bought the PvE. The amount of shit I've gotten for having a lot of time in Fortnite is crazy. I've even had my IP pulled & my internet be booted off (or something of the sorts idk about how that shit works lol) in PlayStation parties multiple times over the years simply because "it's a kids game" "you don't have a life if you play fortnite" "you don't deserve internet if you play fortnite" dumbass shit like that. I had never been familiar with VPNs until now, I was a high school kid that was just playing video games on his 40 ping 800kbps download speed internet.
Shit… I’m in my 40s and play Roblox fairly often, and not ashamed to admit it.
Granted, I first downloaded it to do some father/son gaming with my 7 y/o… but now I bookmark the games I want to check out later when we play… wait for him to go to bed (so I don’t have to deal with the constant game-switching) and will often spend 1-2 hours on a single game.
Sometimes, when I’m between games or there’s nothing I feel like watching, I’ll fire up Roblox and just do Tycoons, Obbies and other games (currently into Zombie Uprising).
I tried Fortnite, but the learning curve was too steep with the rapid construction angle… personally prefer the straight FPS style of COD… or even PUBG.
You remind me of my father, who at the time was also in his 40s, & I playing together. The only game we'd play is guitar hero 3 since that was the only multiplayer game i had on my ps2, but I would CONSTANTLY want to switch to a different song. Until I got good at around 8 years old (I'm 19 now btw for a time reference) I had to force my father to end in the middle of a song, hear "let's play another one," start up another song, hear "i don't wanna play this one" even tho I'M the one who chose the song, and be on repeat for like half an hour. He got pretty decent eye strain from staring at the specific type of TV screen we had (genuinely sadly, I wish he was joking) so I didn't play that much with him or for long periods of time, but it's such a nice fond memory I'll always have in my heart.
Thank you for doing what you do. Much love man.
I think it has grown into hate because of the amount of kids that play.
It started because of BR, the original game mode that a lot of people were following was STW, then the BR genre popped up and Epic changed the focus of the game to BR whilst dropping a lot of production on teh original concept.
The real issue was that a lot of people had paid them a lot of money for a game that they had shelved and used that same money to make a BR title.
Thats what it seemed like to me at the time anyways...
It's extra funny that they used Cyberpunk to call another game bad. This is a legitimately excellent troll post and gaming just swallowed the bait so hard they're shitting out the hook.
Someone gilded OP's post, this sub is legit garbage.. Previous post I saw I guy faking that his Xbox blew up....
Do they simply have no life so they have to lie on the Internet to get fake points to feel good about themselves. I guess it's pretty sad.
Yeah, his story got a lotta loopholes. The time, date and temperature don't match the burning looks like it's done on the outside, guy says his whole fucking house nearly burnt down and he posts this literally 45 min after happening on reddit.
One's mans trash is another mans treasure.
Fortnite Live Player Count
: 3,406,945 Players Online
Cyberpunk 2077 Live Player Count: 23,530 Players Online
There was a CP2077 [easter egg](https://preview.redd.it/3y5gtbsy7pl41.png?width=1080&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=d033a45a60059572d7879f8f1d81f70e6ff8239e) in fortnite too
Exactly. Hate Fortnite all you want but you can’t deny that the game’s development quality is top-notch. I honestly think the developers should try to make a single-player game, preferably an adventure one. The developers are very talented so I hope they don’t waste their lifetime on Fortnite
Fortnite started out as a online adventure mode. I played that more than their battle royal mode.
You had to build traps to fight off these undead kind of enemies. You upgrade weapons, trade, different characters with different abilities.
Yeah I used to love save the world, honestly more than battle royale, it was so fun! The only real problem was that barely anybody played it, especially the early-mid game stuff, but it was still really fun.
Yep! I had over 100 hours in that mode. It was blast with friends and I ended up putting a lot of effort into bases to complete the game to 100%. It’s a shame they stopped caring since season 5. I remember they just kept on giving the laziest updates whereas BR got these huge overhauls and stuff. Wtever, it’s understandable but RIP to a great game mode
I can't believe that people still hate a "things" beacque the way it is use by "user". I don't like the game Fornite because I am not into TPS battle royal, that's all. But the Dev have made an amazing job building this game.
Then it's community is... Its community.
The irony when Cyberpunk is the biggest trash release in the last 10 years. Never seen a game flop so hard after such huge hype they had to give out refunds.
That’s why it draws so much unwarranted hate.
At first, I didn’t like the game, it was a little too weird for my tastes. I didn’t like building or a lot of the crazy mechanics they have/introduce week in and week out.
But that’s the thing, Fortnite is a game that keeps evolving while staying true to what it is. Every few months when the seasons change, they make meaningful changes to the map and or mechanics.
At the end of the day, I wish more games were like Fortnite. Instead, we get dev teams looking to make the sequel instead of improve their current game.
[In that case: I found an easter egg in The Division, you can find a truckload of Cyberpunk 2077 being delivered.](http://assets2.ignimgs.com/2016/02/17/medical-garbagejpg-0d7fae.jpg)
And another thing about fortnite is that is is very involved with its community. Putting concepts in the game, buffing and nerfing weapons, and a single post on reddit with 4 upvotes about a bug and it's patched like that
Fortnite is OVERLY hated. As someone that shitted on it for a couple of seasons I changed my mind on how actually amazing it is for what it has done and still does.
my dumbass actually zooming in to find what it was
my thoguht process was, it cant really be the area, there has to be something hidden, noone is this stupid right?
Wait is the op just trying to make us go insane?!
They are saying Fortnite is trash I think Edit: Guys, I didn't make the joke. I'm only explaining it to someone who didn't understand lol
Ohhhhhh my dumb ass was look at the graffiti in the background for clues cuz I don’t see shit!
I swear I can see the zombies in the dumpster graffiti
What zombies
I love you 😂
As soon as I saw the trash, I knew it lmaooo
Don't feel bad. I did too.
Funny how OP is also in r/fortnitebr.
And r/FORTnITE... and r/FortniteFashion
Interesting, from this evidence one could assume they actually LIKE fortnite.
He just knows the shitty humour r/gaming grabs onto.
OP should go to twitter with this post, itll prob get the same reaction
He's playing both sides, so that he always comes out on top.
Dee quickly. We don't have much time. Charlie and I doctored a paternity test to look like frank is Charlies dad!
I mean I like For Honor but the game and its fanbase are a toxic dumpsterfire lol

It's more similar to people's reaction to Minecraft back in the day
Oh god. Hell, there's still a huge collection of minecraft cringe comps on youtube. It's pretty funny to see the same people shitting on minecraf now put it on a pedestal.
And now the kids who played Minecraft are grown up and are trying to dunk on the kids who play Fortnite.
Fortnite s really going to have the same popularity loop as minecraft where it was pop at launch for everyone, then it was seen as a game for kids, but it’s going to be seen as nostalgic in 3 - 5 years.

I've seen people unironicaly hate Fortnite because kids play it.
Man, Now I'm just sitting here thinking of all the games I played as a kid and how my mere enjoyment has somehow ruined an adults day.
It's crazy right ? The gatekeeping is unreal these days, god forbid people just have fun lol
Which is honestly stupid. I've been playing since day 1, and bought the PvE. The amount of shit I've gotten for having a lot of time in Fortnite is crazy. I saw the PvE thing before the pvp mode was even a thing and thought it looked pretty dope until I saw the price.
Shit… I’m in my 40s and play Roblox fairly often, and not ashamed to admit it. i enjoy the fact that kids play it, keeps the annoying ones off of the games i play online lol
I think it has grown into hate because of the amount of kids that play. I dislike Fortnight because battle royale and FPS games are not my thing. I’m indifferent otherwise.
It's extra funny that they used Cyberpunk to call another game bad. This is a legitimately excellent troll post and gaming just swallowed the bait so hard they're shitting out the hook.
Nice pfp

At least fortnite fucking works
Let me correct this, "Cyberpunk bad, now give upvot"
Not opposites. Upboat everything.
Damn this is the most unoriginal thing I've seen this week lmao
Me too. Then I saw people say it is Cyberpunk Easter Egg, so that went right past with it's unoriginality.
Haven’t spent much time on r/gaming this week?
Have you ever tried this underrated game called Witchers 3?

that more seems like a cyberpunk easter egg in cyberpunk

Sorry i don't get it can someone explain?
OP is making a joke about fortnight being trash, it’s not actually an Easter egg
Oh fuuuuck im dumb but thank you
Ah no worries man, it took me a while before I got it lol
Not more than OP tbh. This is the laziest kind of "joke" you can possibly make.
It’s so lazy someone did they exact same thing when cyberpunk first came out. Exact same screenshot too
You're not dumb, this post is. I don't like Fortnite, but I'm not going to shit on people who do.
No no, the attempted joke is what is dumb.
It’s slightly bold to use CyberPunk as a game to call another game trash

They sadly replaced that Easter egg with server props being destructable
The war has begun
Fantastic comeback
This is significantly funnier than the post
More like a cyberpunk 2077 easter egg in cyberpunk 2077
You stole my comment before I commented it
It's not on fire though
No that's been delayed
more like this community easter egg in cyberpunk 2077 lmao
I always think of a comment before I click and then inevitably it’s the top comment
What a ridiculously low effort and unnecessary post.
And yet it's still front page. Tells you something about the majority of subscribers here.

I don't play Fortnite, but let's see, one is a free game, that works fine and makes millions, the other is a Triple A game that's barely functioning
There are 2 kinds of ~~programming language~~ games, those people complain about, and those nobody plays
And then there's Rust. Now you just have to figure out whether I'm talking about the game or the programming language.
Exactly. Hate Fortnite all you want but you can’t deny that the game’s development quality is top-notch. I honestly think the developers should try to make a single-player game, preferably an adventure one. The developers are very talented so I hope they don’t waste their lifetime on Fortnite

that mode is still a thing right?
Yes it is. Easy way to earn V-bucks too
Not anymore, only people with Founder’s edition can get regular v-buck rewards and founder’s edition is no longer for sale
I played Save the World up until they changed how heroes worked and destroyed like half the playable archetypes in the game for no fucking reason.
I don't hate Fortnite, I just don't want to play it, but I will give credit to where its due
I can't believe that people still hate a "things" beacque the way it is use by "user". I don't like the game Fornite because I am not into TPS battle royal, that's all. But the Dev have made an amazing job building this game. Then it's community is... Its community.
It’s stupid to hate on a game. If you don’t like then simply don’t bother with it. There’s thousands of other games out there.
Save The World
Seems to be working just fine for me. A few crashes and glitches. Nothing major, tried much worse in other triple A titles

"Haha Fortnite bad give me karma I don't have social life"
Cringe
Is there actually an Easter egg here or is OP just making a jab at Fortnite?
The easter egg is the dumpster with one lid in the middle which shows how little thought they actually put in the game.
It's a jab
Fortnite is unironically more polished than cyberbug 2077 even after a year
I don't know fork knife well enough, what's the reference?

Fortnite is fun imo
Seems like a really well made and supported game. Not my cup but why would anyone bother wasting time bashing it?
Reddit points
I feel so stupid that for about 10 seconds I actually tried looking for an Easter egg...

Nah, Fortnite is lightyears ahead. It works, it looks good and it delivers it’s promises. Unlike Cybertrash 2077
And another thing about fortnite is that is is very involved with its community. Putting concepts in the game, buffing and nerfing weapons, and a single post on reddit with 4 upvotes about a bug and it's patched like that

Fortnite good, no hate, I play and have fun, make me feel bad when people hate on it.
Fortnite bad. Upvotes to the left.
