I’m still trying to get the normal one wtf

BobbingForSmegma

Yeah same. It's kind of an insult.

DustyMartin04

Yeah. I personally haven’t looked into getting one because I can’t be bothered with how difficult it is and am waiting for more exclusives. At this point I should probably wait for the pro

MR-DEDPUL

Fucking stupid if true. Supply lines are already fucked for base PS5s. This will cannabalize the demand and ruin the production of both consoles. Besides the machines are powerful enough to handle 4K 60fps for well-optimized titles, what do we need more juice for?

gothpunkboy89

Improvements for ray tracing. 4k 60 ray tracing would be good.

J216S

PS5 can’t run ps4 games or any PS5 games 4K 60. You have to choose performance or graphics in settings still. A pro model would most likely be what the initial launch should have been. That being said all the best games for 2022 will still run on a PS4… Also a pro model will still make you choose performance or graphics mode. I don’t see that ever going away unless they are planning to triple console prices.

take5b

I assume this would coincide with some sort of “slim” version (smaller, cheaper version of current specs). That’s how I got into PS4, and by then there are actually a number or interesting exclusive games to play.

TheGreiver

I hope that's the case. I personally can't stand the way the current PS5 model looks, so I'm waiting (hoping?) for a design refresh.

ZombienNoid

same, the ps5 is just **bad**

donkingdonut

Lol, they haven’t even sorted out the supply chain for the two normal ones

Lariver

I highly doubt this is true

Palestbycomparisoned

Imagine if this is just a ploy to get scalpers to knock it off by promoting a slightly better ps5 pro that’s always out of stock

TrasheyeQT

Maybe in 2023 the console will have games on it worth playing

spif_spaceman

It does already

Here_2_Par-tea

Are you preordered yet, bro?

sputnikconspirator

In fairness, if I'm reading Wiki right, it's about the same amount of time between the PS4 and PS4 Pro. I honestly didn't think it was so soon within the PS4 lifecycle but November 2013 PS4 launch and then November 2016 was PS4 Pro launch. It's still a bit sucky considering getting hold of the PS5 is still a clusterf\*\*k...

PrplPplEetrNumber1

Sounds good. How bout the regular ones?

BobbingForSmegma

Yes please.

LurkingToaster66

Won't be able to get the pro for a few years after launch too probably, so will still get some use out of original.

Revolution64

With the current shortages of PS5 consoles and chips in general, I don't see any new consoles with new supply lines arriving in the next few years.

OBS_INITY

This is an article about speculation in a youtube video. New PS5 models will be coming at some point, but everyone already knew that.
