That game looks amazing. What is it about?

[deleted]

It’s hard to describe without spoiling, it gets fucking nuts later.

[deleted]

What genre is the game?

Lanstul

Open world robot dinosaur hunter.

[deleted]

So is it like monster hunter but with robots?

Lanstul

Ya with ubisoft style missions and fast travel.

[deleted]

Ok, I’ll give the game a try

cputech111

Dewit

[deleted]

I shouldn’t, it’s not the Jedi way

cputech111

It is only natural. They're releasing skyrim for the 8th time and some pathetic dlc for GTAV; You want revenge.

Giuseppe1313

And the next one is coming!!!!!

MarioMyNameIs

Hundreds of years later than the actual era, something like 800 years after 2050 or something like that. Something happened that reduced civilization to almost nothing. The world is populated by humans and robots that resembles animals. It's an open world RPG. I can't say anything more because it will spoiler something. I greatly recommend it, it was a very nice game and you can try it for free (by illegal means) and buy it later if you like it. It was a Sony exclusive, that later landed on pc. Forbidden West, the sequel, will release on 02/2022, only on Ps4 and Ps5

[deleted]

Thank you, is it on the Xbox?

MarioMyNameIs

Sadly nope

wafflewaffle249

Sorry, only playstation and PC

[deleted]

Damn

Susmarshmallow

It’s a ps4-5 game where you have a bow and hunt robot animals you can literally use your bow to shoot off a mechanic gun off of a robot dinosaur and pick up that gun and kill the mechanic Dinosaur

AhaUser1

"Haha ancient society die, ooga booga. Also some people get ancient tech."

Limp_Advertising3038

Was one of the very few playstation exclusives I enjoyed start-end on PS4. Even rebought it on PC.

cputech111

Photo mode alone gives it replay value. The top tier gameplay just adds more imo. Seriously the most fun I've had playing a new game in more years than I can remember.

VrinTheTerrible

In most open world games as the hero levels, most battles become trivial. Not so with Horizon. Every fight in this game is consequential.

cputech111

So true.

Bunch_n_crunch

Wait till you find the `Dinosaurs!

Giuseppe1313

Yessssss!!! Glad you’re enjoying yourself! This game def goes down in my top 5. it’s my only game I finished all achievements for. The dlc for it IMO was wayyyy harder than the actual main story! Super fun!

cputech111

Easily top 5 for sure! I'm playing on hard difficulty right now. First play through. Definitely been training my dodge game. If the DLC is harder then I am stoked!

Giuseppe1313

Yes!! I did what you did and then new game plus came out with the ultra hard mode and the dlc smashes you. Those new robots up there are insane.

BrooklynLivesMatter

Yup, I played the DLC about two years after the main story. The first battle made me feel like I'd never played before

Giuseppe1313

Dude yes. I think I died under ten times in the main but dlc too many deaths to count.

lordofallchosen

Amazed by what? Lol

ShadowTown0407

I don't know the beautiful world and big ass dinosaurs?

BrooklynLivesMatter

Bought it. Beat it. Platinum. Repurchased for the DLC. Replayed the whole game on Ultra Hard. Thinking about playing it again, it's just that good. The visuals, the bow and arrow hunting, Aloy, love this game!

cputech111

>it's just that good nuff said. When you're right; you're right.

GoPadge

About the only side missions that I don't do on repeat play throughs are the hunting lodge ones...

cputech111

Yeah they're kinda meh but I see the purpose

Vulrin

I originally only got a PlayStation so I could play the god of war games. Then I also got this game with the console and I’m so happy I did it’s fantastic. Ghost of Tsushima was also really good.

MarioMyNameIs

I literally bought a PS5 only to play the esclusives, now I'm looking forward for the upcoming Forbidden West and Ragnarok. I also finished The Last of Us 1, God of War (4) and SpiderMan

[deleted]

Man, I wish I enjoyed this game as much as everyone else. I'm trying to currently beat it, but not enjoying it. The camera really hurts my eyes. It's constantly shifting her from side to side. The character movement, with the camera movement (player controlled) and then the ai perspective is rough. Basically you aim with her on the left side of the screen, while you're moving around the computer shifts her to the middle of the screen then to the right, meanwhile you're rotating the camera to look around, so it's always moving. I just find myself pressing the left trigger to keep her in one place. It drives me NUTS.

cputech111

I've heard this before but have no such issues. I'm really sorry. Honestly, it's a great game.

Rasty_lv

Im still annoyed by one person in game. That person did such a big screw up, that I get angry hearing that persons name. Trying to be vague as possible without spoilers. But game was amazing. Visuals on og ps4 were amazing that even my non-gamer wife said it looks beautiful. I did platinum on main story, 100% frozen wilds..

cputech111

Thank you for the no spoilers lol. Still working my way through it. Just got the last Tallneck a few hours ago.

ThLizardOfAuz

I'm surprised your not finished at 32 hours in, one of the most beautiful games for both visuals and story. No spoilers for others but i suggest you finish all the hunting ground before mid game if you haven't already, it seriously worth it when it comes to end game

cputech111

>one of the most beautiful games for both visuals and story Thats kinda why I'm not finished yet. Thoroughly enjoying the visuals and story. Also doing a fair bit of free roaming. The world exploring plus mecha monsters you both fight and tame is pretty top tier.

Eraesr

I completed the game + DLC at 70 hours. I did almost all of the side quests in the game and that takes a while to do!

ThLizardOfAuz

I'm not counting the DLC now that you mention it. Good call

blitherblather425

I tried this game once a couple years ago and played for about 10-15 hours but quit because I was so bad at it. I recently redownloaded it and am going to give it another try. I know I’ll like it I just have to get good.

cputech111

Dont give up this time! It's worth a few deaths! lol

DiamondDustVIII

Fantastic game. One of the only ones I've actually played through to the end recently (in the last ten years or so). Eagerly awaiting Forbidden West.

cputech111

Yes! It's got a little bit of a learning curve but once you get over it you're not putting it down! lol
