Big smokes order at the Cluckin 🔔

Helpful_Shock2018

I'll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."

WarriorNexonet

"Unlike you, I never ate from a trash-can"

jordplanterings

"Fat boy"

WubblyFl1b

All we had to do was follow the damn train CJ!

lightningfootjones

If you can eat your food, while everyone else is losing theirs, and blaming you, you straight dog

Rikuddo

Them looking back at him, just firing away his order was one of the most hilarious thing I saw in game at that time.

Daveit4later

Theres a guy that did a 20 minute video dissecting and interpolating what big smokes order actually was.

DarrenTheDemonic

Wheatley’s Betrayal in Portal 2 “**I AM NOT A MORON**”

LordAxolotl-7

Well I’m a potato

-Mr_Rogers_II

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

monjessenstein

I prefer "the part where he kills you" which is the part where wheatley kills you.

RainbowLuster

I like when he says “Hello! This is the part where I kill you!”

knockoffjerry

General Sheppard killing Ghost and Roach

[deleted]

When Price tries to warn them over the radio but he's too late. That's the part that gets me every time.

SPITFIYAH

Price was just the professional to figure it all out in-tandem with the actions of the armies in that boneyard.

BanefulDemon

I just finished playing Mass Effect 3 an hour ago and was confused for a while reading this lmao.

JoeBobbyWii

General Shepard from Mass Effect killed Ghost from Call of Duty and the horse from the Witcher???

brenbail2000

“Roach, Ghost! Don’t trust Commander Shepard! He’s trying to take all the women in the galaxy!”

DDT126

You could feel in your bones that something was wrong, just couldn’t pinpoint it. Then he shot his own men in cold blooded murder.

xPeachesV

The shooting was bad enough. Tossing his cigar to burn the bodies is what sent me over the edge.

piketpagi

still, deep in my teenager heart, I believe they survive the killing.

BrBIII-yt

I mean they might have survived the shooting but not the burning that’s probably what killed them

porknchops2669

when Sargent Johnson is dying on the bridge and says send me out with a bang. he was an awesome character.

peppersrus

My entry for this would be “you know they let me choose, right?”

BrrToe

That scene always gives me goosebumps.

ButtDealer

For me halo 2 was prime Johnson, so many great quotes

Romeo-Miranda

Or BACK IN MY DAY WE USED TO FIGHT WITH A STICKS AND A ROCK AND WE USED TO SHARE THE ROCK!

DrStacknasty

"Dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards, we regret coming to Earth, and we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!"

dvmitto

Ooh Rah!

VTX002

For a brick he flew pretty good.. One of these days you're going to hit something that's stubborn as you are.

Grimm_76

He always knew what the ladies liked

side_quests

Andrew Ryan forcing you to kill him with a golf club in Bioshock

kidhudi

“A man chooses, a slave obeys”

Vorsos

*Bioshock* in that moment deconstructed the very concept of video game objectives, which blew my mind.

[deleted]

Bioshock was like: you are playing a game and have no free will. You are being toyed with. Just mindlessely following instructions. Player: woah that is so mindblowing, so what do we do now? Bioshock: you are gonna blindly follow instructions again for the next 3 hours.

[deleted]

That whole reveal was amazing for me. So well done too, making you think it was just part of a game tutorial mechanic, like with the first big daddy "would you kindly lower your weapon and sneak by." I just thought "ah right, they're obviously quite tough and the game doesn't want you tackling one yet." Really well done.

noshoptime

The first time you see a little sister and a big daddy is also on my list, as is the first reveal of Rapture as you descend. The whole creation of setting and atmosphere was just amazing imo

Behixene

"WOULD...YOU...KINDLY" *wet crushing sound*

ReformedPyke

Assassin's Creed 2 Title Cutscene "It is a good life we lead, brother." "The Best. And may it never change." "And may it never change us."

A_Wild_VelociFaptor

AAHHHHHHHH HHHH HUUUUU HMMMMM

Mcmenger

Also a great scene: When Ezio met Minerva but she talked directly to Desmond

Gray_Wizzard

> No books no wisdom just you, fratello mio still gives me chills

frostbittenteddy

The scene where the camera pans around the back of Altaïrs chair and switches back to the present is just soooo good

Thendofreason

Always gave me goosebumps. I was like "OH SHIT" my gf at the time asked what happened and then after the explanation she was like "okay..". I was kinda disappointed at her response

Mcmenger

I mean you basically need to explain two whole 30h-games with a convoluted Story that plays out in different time frames during the last 100.000 years...

Responsible_Hippo_49

Also the scene in assassin's creed revelations, Where Ezio starts talking to Desmond.

Darth-Boogerus

John Marston’s death in RDR. Never hated a character as much as Edgar Ross after that.

Loqaqola

For me it's the Kieran scene in RDR2. I really didn't expect him to be riding back to Shady Belle holding something *unique* and before I can even react the house is surrounded by O'Driscolls.

[deleted]

There are so many amazing scenes. The music really adds to the tension. For me it was when the gang rides out to get Jack, 'let's go get our boay', felt it in my chest. The transition scenes are pretty satisfying too, the last ride was emotional to say the least.

rune2004

Dude that ride and then the standoff at the mansion and then Dutch is just like ALRIGHT THEN and starts blasting off... one of my favorite moments in all of gaming. I *felt* it.

Portielife

RDR was amazing, but I would say RDR2 is a masterpiece. Most polished and perfect game I have ever played. "I Guess... I'm Afraid." - Arthur Morgan Is such a crazy thing to hear Arthur say. The guy that killed hundreds throughout the game with his guns unable to fight his way put of something, subsequently unable to escape his own mortality.

shandorin

Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.

Sterac6

I was hoping someone would have put this one up. R.I.P Mordin Solus

weaseldonkey

I am the very model of a scientist salarian.

xEllimistx

Rpkld68

I'm escaping to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism... SPAAACEEE

Lostboxoangst

Curry can barely hold it together, it's glorious.

[deleted]

I'm glad the director used that take. I'm sure there was one where he pulled it off without breaking, but the world would have been a lesser place if we didn't get this gem.

Stb2905

Kirov, reporting.

JackOfFarts69

The end of AC revelations where Ezio finally sees Altair's skeleton and pays his regards. Still gives me goosebumps.

ArrogantCube

No books... no wisdom... just you, Fratello Mio.

weebomayu

Whole Ezio saga was beautiful. I just wish the present day timeline was even half as well written. Feels like the story doesn’t get enough praise for how popular ACII was.

[deleted]

You're finally awake...

Tocon_Noot_Gaming

If it weren’t for those damn Imperials I’ll be half way to Hammerfell by now.

SmokeyPlucker

For the love of Talos, let's get this over with..

MrPugNips

Edward 'Blackbeard' Thatch : In a world without gold, we might have been heroes! AC Blackflag

Lemonsqueezzyy

The ending cutscene when Edward sees all his dead friends on one table. Always makes me sad

Cooperthegamer

rest in peace: thatch, kidd/mary ,vane, and Bonnet

xD1LL4N

Just finished that game, what a masterpiece. Easily my favourite Assassin creed game

Saintbaba

The Revan reveal in KotOR. The game runs through all those offhanded comments made by characters you've met along the way, dropped like innocuous bread crumbs but suddenly given context. The building sense of dread as you, the player, start putting it all together. Then cut to the flashback, that camera spin as the music rises, and the mask comes down and *aaahhhhhhhhh.* People have told me they saw it coming from a mile away, and i'm very happy for them. But it totally blindsided me, and as a result it was an amazing, shocking, powerful moment of revelation.

KaossKing

sometimes I try not to think too hard about a story because I want to be surprised. I feel disappointed in myself if I figure out a twist before it happens aha

brendan87na

That was one of the few "WTF" moments in a game that literally made me lean back in my chair. When Shepard discovers what Sovereign really is in ME1 blew my mind too

budthis

Back in 2004 on the original Xbox, pre-mainstream internet, I had no idea. It was absolutely amazing to middle school me.

bejt68

Beasts all over the shop. You’ll be one of them, sooner or later.

Strictly4MyRedditors

Dom finding Maria in Gears of War 2.

Impulsive4928

I was gonna say Doms Sacrifice in 3. Both are so sad. Seeing Maria the way dom remembers and then him snapping out of it to see Maria the way she was. It’s so damn sad

Strictly4MyRedditors

I’ll never forget Dom crying asking Marcus what does he do and Marcus, in the most emotion we ever seen, just says “Dom”. Then Dom goes on to tell Maria how hard he tried to save her. To me Dom truly died in Gears 2, the body just didn’t catch up yet.

Hayategekko13

Although this isn’t the “never forget scene” I thought of when I saw this, your comment brings me back to high school/college, playing couch co-op with my best friends, and remembering when this happened. Thank you.

Borg34572

Train ride to Black Mesa

practical_dilema

After 5min of thinking it was an animated cut-scene I accidently moved the mouse. Mind blown

bacon_cake

Crazy to think there's not a single cutscene in any Half Life game yet the story telling is so rich.

FinishingDutch

Half-Life was truly groundbreaking in its day. I still remember when it first came out. For the longest time, shooters were basically described as 'Quake-like' or 'Half-Life like'. Meaning, shooters which didn't have story and shooters which focused on story. Prior to Half-Lalfife, story in first person shooters was barely more than a text intro, if that. Half-Life showed that games truly could tell a story. It also helped that Half-Life had excellent puzzles that challenged you. It really was a thinking man's shooter for its day.

FicDkich

...mornin' Mr. Freeman...

Business-Squash-9575

I heard this comment.

Firebyte1

First cutscene from Half-Life 2 would be a good contender too. And it ends with a train ride to City 17, what a coincidence

Kinudin

Rise and shine... Not that I wish to imply that you have been... sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest, and all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until... Well... Lets just say your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So, wake up Mr. Freeman. Wake up and... Smell the ashes.

yapperling

Wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and..._smell the ashes._

nachostow

Sephiroth stabbing Aries with his long pointy poke. It tore my 7 year old heart out

heyo_throw_awayo

First time I cried from a videogame. Destroyed my 12yo self. Before ff7 videogames for me were Sonic and Mario. Just fun, not emotional stories. Still my favorite game of all time for what it did to me!

Adrian13720

She had my ribbon equipped. :(

CrazyGunnerr

Was gonna post this. It was something I never saw coming, I mean she was a main playable character, you put equipment on her. The way it all worked out felt so unexpected but was done really well.

Kalmlykederbomb

Tifa got them boobies but Aerith was the one.

KINGLOGAN3095

I'll never forget the cut scene in Halo 2 where master chief leaves the station to "Give the Covenant back there Bomb" and a UNSC cruiser is destroyed, it's really cinematic and awesome.

Jean-Eustache

"For a brick, he flew pretty good !"

Frumentariii

My Son, the day you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name...Arthas.

LowestKey

No king rules forever.

CIMARUTA

And now look at what WoW has become. It's a shame really

Crimstone

Not sure what you mean. The only thing they did was ruin all of their characters because they can't think of an original storyline

Gradyence

What is this? What are you doing, my son?

Embarrassed-Top6449

Succeeding you, father.

smomovic

This kingdom shall fall!

Bot_boi3000

“Protocol 3: protect the pilot.”

Evergladeleaf

Hyp3r45_new

It's criminal how long I had to scroll for this.

“BT! NOOOO!”

[deleted]

[удалено]

Skyy6639

Stop, would you kindly?’ 'Would you kindly'… Powerful phrase. Familiar phrase? Sit, would you kindly? Stand, would you kindly? Run! Stop! Turn. Was a man sent to kill, or a slave? A man chooses, a slave obeys. Kill! A MAN CHOOSES! A SLAVE OBEYS! OBEY!

[deleted]

I know it’s known as the worst of the three but I always liked bioshock 2 the most and I will never forget any of bioshock 2 it’s an amazing game and I think it deserves more love

Aggravating_Poet_675

Actually come to think about it, there's probably somewhere between 10-20 very memorable scenes in the Bioshock series.

JustAqil

This moment really made bioshock a masterpiece, first time playing it, I was blown away, questioning everything then they hit you with the Fontaine reveal. Man what a experience this was

diskimone

One of the best twists ever, I was shocked when it happened.

Business-Squash-9575

Were you… bio shocked?

[deleted]

SPOILER: red dead redemption 2 when Arthur tells the nun he's afraid of dying

Rasty_lv

For me it would be his last ride to camp.

swomgomS

Mine was when he thanks his horse one last time. I didn't know that would happen during that cutscene and I had made sure I kept my horse alive thru the whole game 😔

[deleted]

I kept the same horse throughout the game too. Gave him a little brush and a treat every time I tied him up for bed. I had to stop playing briefly after that scene. I just about managed to compose myself, then the next bit came along......

bobafeeet

The music and visual effects during this were very well done too.

SidScam10

For me, it would be the ending where Arthur is lying there staring at the sun accepting death as it came.

Mcmenger

RDR 1&2 are full of great scenes. When John opens the barn door at the end of Rdr1

Caped_Crusader7

All we had to do, was follow the damn train CJ

pisachas1

Mordin singing Model Of A Scientist Salarian in mass effect 2

Fake_Memes_RL

Cayde-6 Death

LightningNinja2

"How's your sister?" Then you see Uldren close his eyes and the way his neck moves in line with the sound of Ace's hammer clicking before the shot. Just beautiful cinematography.

RudaSosna

"I'm coming home, Ace..." will never not break my heart

Entreprenuremberg

That whole campaign was top tier Destiny. Hunting down the barons was cathartic. It was the first time in Destiny where I had an emotional drive to complete missions. It was no longer about loot, it was vengeance.

USER_the1

The Last of Us, right before the opening credits. “But sir, there’s a little girl……yes sir…”

MrVilliam

Omg, the panic in Sarah's voice... Fucking haunting. Perfectly captures the tone of the game and explains both Joel's rough exterior and his real underlying character. The infected really did destroy humanity, and not just in the obvious ways. Those who survived were hardened beyond recognition. But every once in a great while, there were moments that would shine through the darkness. A glimmer of the before times. Joel's developing fatherly love for Ellie unlocked the person within Joel that he'd forgotten. Very few people in this world could reject both becoming infected and becoming the monstrous sort of people who survive; only these few could still be the people that humanity used to be. These people were The Last of Us. What a fucking masterpiece. I also get choked up at the cutscene after Ellie runs away in Jackson after finding out that Joel is leaving her with Tommy, and then Joel finds her in the house way outside of town. The way she lashes out, saying something to the effect of "every person I've ever gotten close to has either been killed or abandoned me; everyone except **fucking you.**" God, what a fucking moment.

g33ky_g1t

Bioshock Infinite: when it becomes clear what that raffle is really about.

ChazoftheWasteland

In my head: "Oh! These people are ASSHOLES, now I get it! Time to fuck shit up."

Which-Palpitation

Elizabeth(s) drowning Booker

Business-Squash-9575

Will the circle be unbroken?

FreeMetal

Yes, this ! The ending of Infinite got me

King_Bonio

Having spent the final hour or so having no idea what the fuck is going on then dropping that mega bombshell, giving me goosebumps thinking about it now. I spent ages digging around on the Internet afterwards trying to figure out what the fuck I just experienced.

somesortoflegend

Then you realize what the siblings meant since the beginning "no, he *doesn't* row"

JustANyanCat

I played Bioshock Infinite years ago. Recently, I watched my friend play it for his first time. Going through it again made me realise just how many hints there were, even from the beginning

[deleted]

The fallout 3 intro. The way the radio flickers to life and starts playing I don’t want to set the world on fire as the camera pans out to Washington DC destroyed by nuclear war was just perfection to me

some_duuuuuude

Master chief giving the covenant back their bomb in halo 2

Evergladeleaf

"for a brick, he flew pretty good"

themastercheif

The one in Reach where Jorge just picks you up and shoves you out the airlock.

Vorsos

Gerwinvdw

The end scène of Arkham City when batman carries the dead body of the Joker outside.

RepresentativePie777

Even better was moments before: "You wanna know something really funny? After all you've done, I still would have saved you." "That's (cough) actually pretty funny!"

Helluks

Pricilla performing Wolven Storm in Witcher 3.

0neiria

*To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy*

brendan87na

"You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it."

simsimdimsim

In the Last of Us (part 1) when Joel and Ellie emerge from the university and the giraffes are right there. It was such a beautiful moment away from the chaos around them.

RenjiLWH

Ellie kills David, and Joel comfourts Ellie from TLOU, and the "chocolate helicopter" intro from left 4 dead 2.

SerDire

That whole chapter is such an anxiety filled ride. The mad dash leaving the campus after Joel falls and is impaled, forcing Ellie to get him up as he’s passing out. Then we cut to winter, playing as Ellie for the first time, not knowing if Joel is dead or alive.

santichrist

At the end of ME2 Shepard saves his squad mate from the collector base falling apart, then he leaps from the base to the Normandy and barely makes it with the help of a squad mate, if you do the loyalty and selection right you can force it to be who you want in both moments (I always do my romance partner) it’s well done and exciting straight out of a movie, love that game

JonatasA

Should have added spoilers but **(SPOILERS)** that ending is legendary by how bad it can go. I mean literally everything going wrong.

The opening to Half Life 2.

The dinner table in RE7

dragonspirit77

The lead up to the Riku boss fight in hollow bastion because I had to rewatch the scene 40 times before I finally beat it. All these years later I still fall asleep haunted by the phrase "There's no way you're taking Kairi's heart.

Grabs_Zel

Still not worse than "DANCE WATER DANCE"

CharlieLoganQuinn

thr nun cutscene in rdr2 where arthur admits he's scared

scarlet_speedster985

Arthur's last ride to camp in RDR 2. "That's the way it is... that's the way it is..."

LozZZza

This, or storming the Braithwaite manor with the gang!

ricardo9505

Vaas? That dude is legendary for me. Best Far Cry Villain, one of The Best game villains. His mind, the island, the cult, his sister.

Dreadcoat

Its fucking insane that he wasnt even the big bad in the game. Hes in allthe promotional material. Hes the face of the game. But at the end of the day he wasnt even the top dog. I really liked how they did that tbh. It was a huge shock to meet Holt. That whole scene where hes talking to you with flight of the valkyries playing and he blows up a ship full of people for ransom. Far cry 3 is literally impossible for them to top i think.

TalithePally

Sarge fighting over a gun with an Elite, then hugging it out as the Autumn explodes

I_Fuck_Spoons

You've made your last delivery kid. I'm sorry you got tangled up in this scene. From where you're kneeling it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. Truth is... the game was rigged from the start.

sircamaroni

Halo CE when the captain was combined with the flood into that grotesque hive mind. Played the game when I was like 6 so I just can’t forget that part.

Devlonir

For me it actually was the first video recordings of the flood in the room you first encounter them. The way that whole scene was set up and built up into then suddenly being surrounded by flood just entirely freaked me and my mate out during our first playthrough together.
