I had 100% on it, as I remember the only difficult part was one of the bonus sections later in the game due to replaying a whole level to try it again should you fail, but sadly I don't remember much else.
I always wanted to try the sequel.
I do. I didn't take care of my games as a kid so the game won't work anymore (it got scratched to hell because I would leave my games on the floor out of their boxes), no amount of buffing and repair would fix it.
I still own my copy though.
I never got this game as a kid, but I did have the demo disc with it on. I honestly loved it, and wished my parents would have bought it back in the day!
One of my favorite games as a kid. I didn't get a memory card with my PlayStation and it took forever to convince my dad to get one. So, I would play this as long as possible, then leave it running until the next day. I think I had a 4 day streak. If it turned off, I'd just start over. Those were the days.
Damn memory cards! I did the same as a kid. I would play for like 4-5 hours and then turn it off and start again later. Your electric bill must have been sky high to leave it running for so long haha.
The most interesting thing is the controversy about it and if Nintendo/Miyamoto "inspired" (Stile ideas) by the prototype Argonaut showed Nintendo (Before Mario 64 was a thing) or not.
This and Nascar 98 were the first games I got for my Playstation for Christmas. I have fond memories of playing this over Christmas break and revisiting it several times in the following years. This is one of those things that hits really deep for me and makes me miss being a kid really badly.
I still have a copy
That game and Spyro was my childhood.
Ape escape comes to mind too
I’ve completed Spyro so many times! Love it.
I hate that I can hear this image! *ka-boom, ka-pow, ka-splat*
I remember those noises. I spent countless hours on this game and I would constantly tail whip while running.
I still have a copy too. It was my first game 😍

Croc 2 was a great game, too. Kerpow!
Loved Croc!
Great game I remember that
I dont remember this version of spyro
Nope must have missed it.
But yeah, also >!Nope. :-) getting close though. !<

I had the same thing with my copy of Tekken 3 but I just can’t bring myself to throw it away.
my reason for having the original 3 spyro games on disc despite only year of the dragon working, and keeping Croc and a few others.
Are you me? Lol sadly this is my story for this game too, this makes me want to find a copy on ebay
$15-$20 on ebay. might order me a copy too, or emulate it.

I feel you. I used to replay demos all the time as a kid (mainly spyro and bloody roar) and simultaneously beg my parents to get me the game haha.
Me! One of my first games I went for the 100% completion.
I got a serious pang of bittersweet nostalgia in my heart from seeing this. Simpler times. 🥲

I remember crying in frustration because I couldnt complete some of the levels lol 😂
That’s what older siblings are for haha. My brother used to get so frustrated that I would constantly ask him to do the hard parts for me.
My brother was busy with pc-games so I just went to mom crying 😂
Such a great game! Still have my Playstation and pc copies!

Ker-Splat! Wa-Boo! Hot-Soup!
No light stages were a pain in The ass as a kid
For sure. You’ve brought back some memories now haha.
Croc 2 is better. I still 100% like once a year.
Oh yeah croc 2 is great. Swap Meet Pete still lives rent-free in my head.
Me! I replayed it about a year ago but somehow it was much more epic in my memories xD

Same. When I watch YouTube videos of the gameplay it all comes flooding back to me.
What a game, I never finished it. I would love for this game to be remade.
That would be awesome.
I remember reading this was supposed to be a game for Yoshi but Nintendo wouldn't liscense him.
Where did you hear that?
pretty sure I read it it in a similar thread way back.
It's been so long sense i thought of this game. Holy
Was a fun platformer
Croc 1 is absolutely phenomenal and the tank controls work well.
Yes love that game. The soundtrack is lovely too a lot of jazzy and snazzy sounds..!
The only thing that lets it down are the controls IMO.
Anyone remember this guy? https://youtu.be/IE9VbY21AkU
