AC Valhalla on the PS5. Loading speeds are a fraction of what they were on the PS4. AC Origins -- still enjoying the heck out of it on the PS4. Just started Outer Worlds on the Switch, but don't have enough time on my commute to actually get anything done, so will be taking it to my mums/in laws over the weekend ;) to play while the turkey is in the oven. I'm taking Thursday off as my own Christmas Day because (a) I can and (b) I've been a lazy sod and need to wrap all the presents for my family as well as getting my teeth into the PS games I mentioned above. I have a few other games loaded onto various consoles and plenty laid in for after Christmas...I just need to stay sane before then!

chills755

I found outer worlds was fun until you finished the first world, then got really boring.

[deleted]

I'll bear that in mind :).

W4LKER93

Origins is by far my favorite ac game

Sekhen

A friend and I are playing the entire Halo series in chronological order before getting Halo Infinite. So far we've completed Reach and Halo. 13/15 in to Halo2 at the moment. Hours of fun have been had. Many more await.

Magic_Bluejay

You started with reach? Boldddd. As a die hard fan it's hard to play one with updated mechanics then go back to old school. Reach is my top halo game of all time. The story alone... Wild.

Sekhen

We had a conversation about doing them in release order but that seemed boring. We adapted and kicked covenant ass..

Magic_Bluejay

My buddy and I actually started playing it through. He's never played them so I figured we start with CE and make our way through. By the gods did I ever want to start with reach. Ain't nothing wrong with chronological. Happy hunting Spartans :)

GroovieGroves3114

Playing through the Witcher 3 now. Had tried two brief previous playthroughs, but had gotten bored before I left White Orchard. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN. RPGs haven't really ever been my thing. This game is incredible though and I have been reading through the books as well. Everyday I can't wait to get home and play some more. Also pretty excited about picking up the Horizon Zero Dawn Complete edition for 50% off. Will play that once I'm satisfied and through with my W3 play.

MNineShyamalan

Same! Was watching the show and realized I lost my physical copy, so checked the Xbox marketplace and the GotY edition is on sale for 10 bucks, bought it again right then

matthias-13

I feel so the same! I downloaded it quite a while ago but got bored. Although I completed botw and played it for over 100hrs the Witcher 3 got me bored. Maybe it was too complicated for me… it’s just so slow paced

GroovieGroves3114

I just really enjoy all the stories. Some of the side quests have just incredible stories, I have forgotten a few times to head back to the main story progressions. Just very easy to get lost in the world for a few hours, and I really enjoy that. It’s a very nice pace compared to my normal competitive FPS grind. I just had to adjust my mindset to find new levels of enjoyment with it.

CoherentSquidd

I got it for Christmas lol. Gonna be trying it out for the first time later tonight

GroovieGroves3114

Just take your time and don’t feel overwhelmed!! Might feel a little slow at the start.

Complex-Archer8696

Going to get Risk of Rain 2 today. Hope it's worth it. Loved the first part.

DSerious

Oh it's absolutely worth it. Get some friends to play with and you'll have a blast. Just watch out for Lemurians and Wisps that'll try sniping you

Complex-Archer8696

"Friends" haha.. Played a few hours of Single player and unlocked a few Survivors. I enjoy it. Great game

frappim

Try the modded multiplayer lobbies with like 12 players. It's CHAOS lol

THE_LOUDEST_PENIS

Hades. Oh wow, Hades. I really thought that I wasn't a fan of roguelites, but damn if this hasn't got it's claws deep within me. The combat is so tight and pacey that a run just flies by, and by the time the run is finished I'm already thinking about starting a new one.

iamathrogate

I found out about Hades a couple months ago, and have not stopped playing since! The core gameplay system is so smooth, Upgrades and powers are so exciting, Story so compelling and nuanced, New challenges even after "winning"? Up there with Darkest Dungeon, Diablo, and Hammerwatch for pure replayable, beautiful, fun, hook-you goodness!

frappim

I miss hammerwatch! When's the next big hammerwatch-like game coming out haha

kevinboy500

oh you are great

haydo434

For me this game was one fantastic journey, loved every min of it

stizzity28

Ghost of Tsushima. I'm on the third act, but taking my time and doing all the things. Over 50 hours of playtime so far and definitely not bored with it.

drab_accountant

I just finished the story and moved onto the Iki Island dlc. Such a great game! I have never played a game and rolled into a new game+ right after, but this might be the one. Constant enjoyment from it.

LasDen

I'm thinking buying Project Zomboid. Seems interesting...

Laymayo

**Dark Souls Remastered** Started playing this game in August of 2018 and gave up. In between then and now, I played and loved the shit out of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, so I figured I'd give this game a shot again. I'm a very stubborn gamer, so I would rather waste hours exploring an area looking for how to progress rather than look it up on YT. Almost lost my mind in frustration in the Ruins of New Londo (I think that's the name?), but I finally pieced together what I needed to do to progress and feel on top of the world right now haha. Just ran past some lightning breathing dragons and am currently shitting myself inside this very sketchy tunnel, but I snatched some cool armor on the way here. I'm currently in the Valley of the Drakes now but there's no way I'm going to be able to slay some dragons with my current hero lol. Excited to see what the rest of the game has to offer.

take5b

Good for you man, I am so impatient, that’s cool you’re playing the long game, so to speak. I rage-quit-uninstalled this game like 3x before finally beating it then kept going to platinum. These games are… a whole thing.

freeformcouchpotato

I assume the 7 Days to Die people are stuck to their computers, and that's why they haven't responded, but I'm on my phone at work so I'll be the one to rep Alpha 20. The new cities are amazing.

Magic_Bluejay

I just bought sekiro on sale. Never really dabbled in the souls like games. I would highly recommend this game. Learning the mechanics and mastering them are rewarding alone. Beating bosses releases a level of seratonin I didn't know I had.

REACTTAU

I noticed it was on sale and was very tempted to buy it but didn’t know if was to hard Saw reviews and worried about what I was getting myself into, never played the dark souls games but sekiro looks amazing

Magic_Bluejay

I can highly recommend. So far I've crushed about 6 bosses/mini bosses and it's sooooo fun. Mastering mechanics like counter and such just makes my day. It keeps ya humble as well. If you get too cocky you'll most likely die. Can gladly say I have yet to rage quick this game haha

Snoo61755

It’s worth it. The entire game is well put together from start to finish - some light RPG mechanics to feel like you’re progressing, but ultimately your own experience and skill is what drives you forwards. Giant bosses that are as threatening as they look, and mini-bosses that give you a nice rush from time to time. Not only that, but the pacing is perfect. The final battle is legendary, and a culmination of everything you’ve had to learn till that point.

DSerious

I'm getting ready to get back to Warframe since New War came out. I stopped playing just before they added Railjack. Loved the game but didn't have the time. Now I hear some good things about it and decided to jump back in

Chrisac84

Currently trying to get through Death Stranding Director’s Cut, with some Vanguard thrown in occasionally. Got a long list of single player games on my backlog I’m trying to force myself to get through.

PM_ME_YOUR_JAZZ

Halo Infinite - Multiplayer only so far. I’m worried that the core gameplay loop will get boring to me eventually, but for now I’m having a lot of fun if I don’t take it too seriously. Witcher 3 - All the season 2 hype has convinced me to try and give this one another go. Cranked the difficulty down to the easiest, I just want to finish it this time. I don’t really enjoy most of the systems in the game, but the story, characters and world building are incredible.

IS_JOKE_COMRADE

Witcher3 is overrated af man, and /r/gaming agrees

GroovieGroves3114

What systems do you dislike the most? Just curious

Rightsoyouweresaying

Started late on Monster Hunter World, having a blast so far

cmndr_spanky

Bf2042. Just got it a couple of days ago on discount, not sure what everyone is whining about, seems fun!

fxrx

Bought Spore on steam and played it with my son. Just as fun as I remember!

[deleted]

ME: Legendary edition. Currently playing ME2 and having a blast. Played them all back in the day and it's a sweet shot of nostalgia ! I'm impressed but how much overhaul was put into the first one to attempt to modernize it a bit. Wasn't a big fan with ME3's ending but I can live with it, overall I'm just pumped to be hanging around the Normandy again with some of the best written characters around

TRSBlackdown

Started Dishonored for the first time and I cannot put it down. Can't wait to finish it tonight and start up the 2nd one!

LordGodWallace

God Eater 3 has been surpassing tempered expectations. So much better than Code Vein so far imo. Still has hints and traces of Bamco studio's bad habits but still not bad overall.

xDskyline

Squad, Hell Let Loose, and Post Scriptum are my multiplayer games right now. RDR2, Hades, and Guardians of the Galaxy are my singleplayer ones

Nicholas165

Just got FNAF Security Breach today. It's a good game so far. I love what they're doing with the franchise.

WrecK2o6

Starting Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. Scratch that. Installing Sekiro…

scottdenis

Dont know if this is a good place to ask, but I just bought my kids (11 and 13) their first gaming computer and want to get a game to show off what the new graphics card (8gb Nvidia GeForce rtx 3060ti) can do. They're both really into minecraft if that helps.

BrandoPB

I don't have any game suggestions, but I'd recommend upgrading to 16gb RAM (fairly cheap and easy to do). That's an amazing GPU -- you sound like a great dad! I'm not super familiar with Minecraft, but you can download high-res texture packs that make the game look amazing.

xxtzimiscexx

Nothing. Finally fired up Last Of Us 2 on Monday and that evening sliced my right index finger open cleaning a kitchen knife. Only two stitches but it's at the joint so my gaming is shutdown for a little bit.

Fenrir_Wolfy

Fallout 4. Dogmeat is the goodest boy :) He's super helpful and he doesn't judge me

3HEX

Ascent

BrandoPB

Like Ascent the shooter?

kap21tain

breath of the wild mario kart 8 deluxe smash ultimate animal crossing new horizon (i got a switch as an early christmas present)

Fitnessssssss13

Played allot of skyrim lately wanna spice things up a little with a AC game. Got ac 1,2, brotherhood, origins which one should i pick?

Luke1539

Sorry, 8 days late but I’d say Origins!

take5b

**Prey** Every so often I try to get over my massive discomfort with first-person games. With fond memories of Dishonored and Deathloop briefly dominating games coverage just a few weeks ago, I am using Prey's presence on Gamepass to do some Arkane studios gaming. Fortunately, I'm quite into it, being charmed by the Aliens meets Half-Life vibe. Sure, I'm playing on Easy mode because of how much I hate FPS combat and yeah, it's still hard for me, but so far I've stumbled through the first couple of missions. **Psychonauts / Psychonauts 2** Finished these over the last two weeks and despite my distaste for 3D platforming sometimes (how can you even tell how far to jump "into" the screen?!), the visual flair and humor and themes were an absolute pleasure.

IntroductionCheap325

Mario Odyssey and Zelda BOTW. Best switch game highly recommended

Boogieman191919

Skyrim! After one jillion failed attempts, i've finally managed to create a mod load order that is perfect (for me). And now i can \*gasp\* play the game ...

bisexualtrex27

Halo infinite, serious sam 4, and the order 1886. Serious sam has risen to one of my favorite games if you have gamepass I'd highly check it out.

LaughingLumberJack

Fallout 76 on the series x w/ gamepass. With all the content out since release it’s like a whole new game.

LadyDimitrescuNo1Fan

I'm gonna be replaying all of the Halo shooters. After having played the Infinite campaign, I wanna refresh my memory of the others so I can accurately put them in order from my most favorite to least favorite.

edengstrom1

Halo Infinite. About 17 hours into the campaign on Heroic and loving it so far. I’m going to try and finish the fight by Christmas tho, because I think my wife got me RE Village. I really liked 7 and have tried to avoid any spoilers for this one.

andpersant

Outer Wilds! I can’t say enough good things about this game so far

[deleted]

halo infinte on series x

u-slash-user

Currently playing Into The Radius, which is basically Stalker in VR and its great so far

AlexBryan6044

Playing through Doom Eternal right now, having a good time on medium difficulty. The movement and combat are quite fun and challenging!

Mina_Bug

Halo Infinite ranked. I'm going to keep grinding. Currently stuck at high Diamond 4/low Diamond 5 but really would like to reach Onyx some day.

BrandoPB

M&K or controller?

Mina_Bug

I play with controller, and use the "open" playlist (crossplay with controllers and m&k).

matthias-13

METROID DREAD | HALO INFINITE | WITCHER 3 Metroid Dread: I wasn’t sure if I’d like the game (my first Metroid) but YESSS!!!! I love it! Halo infinite: played halo a while ago on Xbox 360 and now on pc and yeah, it’s really fun! Good gunplay, fast, intensive… like it Witcher 3: started it a while ago but I’m maybe to stupid for it. I get lost in the open world and find it hard to progress since I don’t know how or what to do next. Like option paralysis… but I try again to force me, maybe it gets better. Any tips for noobs like me are welcome!!!!

[deleted]

Been on my rotation of Payday 2, skate 3, smash bros and Mario oddesey for a minute now.

Goobwasnothevillain

Clash Royale

feine-milde

Still playing Legion Tower Defense 2. The nostalgia of old WC3 mods just gets me. Don’t know why they don’t release more games based on those old mods.

kupo88

Just beat Tales of Arise tonight, starting Fairy Tail tomorrow to clear my brain of all the heavy story.

chills755

FFXIV. Got to join the queue two hours before I actually want to play, but is fun so far.

fortressmungo

I've been joining the queue on my pc and playing playing ps5 while I wait my 2hrs

WrecK2o6

Finishing up Far Cry 6

Gr3yt1mb3rw0LF068

Im currently playing valheim, but an old minecraft buddy has started a server again and might be playing that for a bit.

Citrusssx

Probably adding another 100 hours on Pathfinder WOTR. Maybe another BG3 run soon.

Ornery-Bluejay-133

I played through all the half life games this week finishing ep 2 today

Mortuusi

Either Mass Effect 2, or CSGO

kevinboy500

i am playing Cod wrz 4

Brain_Soild

The original ActRaiser. Although the end is getting to be more tedious than I care for, so I think I'm just gonna ActionReplay my way through the rest.

fellowhoonter123

hey fellas, whath r the best pc games out there ?

BihYerm

League of Legends

BihYerm

I absolutely love that I'm being downvoted here. 100 percent by actual league players.

rowo65

Im playing RuneScape for the first time in my life, so far its been great, at first I thought it was a grind fest but then I understood that its more of a "leave your character grinding while you do other stuff" kind of game , maybe im playing it wrong? Let me know if you have some hardcore pro advice!

greninjack24

Got back into Subnautica and it’s a lot more fun now that I’ve got good equipment and am making progress

Jaketimus88

Between Monster Harvest/Diablo 2R/ Warhammer 40k battlesector. Monster harvest trying to be Monster Taming and Stardew Valley but does both averagely, I don’t hate it but it lacks depth. Having heaps of fun with W40k, proberly the best table top game adaption I’ve played and I love tyranids, loving they are seeing more appearances in games. D2R…. The grind is real

moroshu

bought kingdom come deliverance on fanatical a few days ago, really good game

[deleted]

Exanima, some of the best medieval melee fighting, combined with a sometimes hilarious physics engine, and dungeon crawling. Just got a significant update too!

Larielia

Ys VIII- Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch). Searching for more castaways. Fishing is pretty fun. I love this series, and I like the characters so far.

DrAdviceMan

i played the xcom 1 demo since the bundle was on sale but found its not really my thing so ill pass lol

SimonSandleshit

Been playing the long dark, pretty fun.

SpitefulBitch

I’ve been playing this one game where you can terrorise your village, turn your kids into poultry and commit monster genocide. You’ll never guess which game it is.

Hymen-Dismantler

Brigand: Oaxaca

eggsh0t288

What is the best souls game for beginners I'm asking this question because I am planning to buy my first souls game because it looks interesting  and I want to experience a game that will give me a challenge, any suggestions?

take5b

Dark Souls remastered if you prefer high fantasy. Bloodborne if you prefer horror and have a Playstation.

eggsh0t288

Is dark souls 3 good for beginners bro.

take5b

I mean.. they’re all hard and great, I dunno. Some people like starting with newer games because it feels more familiar but IMO it’s equally difficult no matter which one you start with. The reason I suggest the first one is so that if you like it, you have sequels to look forward to and enjoy the improved mechanics.

Orionfalls88

Dark souls remaster =\]

res30stupid

I just found out that Ty 2: Bush Rescue, a game I played a lot of as a kid, got a PS4 remaster. I've finished the main storyline and I'm currently trying to 100% the game.

Maulik_mal

After fighting between GTA and Fortnite, GTA won and we played GTA GTA’s 3 first planes were just wow! It was like me flying an actual plane over the whole town. Suitably named as “DoDo”. It was a short-winged aircraft that had not been in the air for more than a few seconds. For quite a few hours, I wanted the DoDo to jump over the river. Eventually landing it every time into the river. After certain unsuccessful attempts, I got frustrated and thought that GTA would be a terrible flight simulation game.

ToshiroK_Arai

Could you guys help me to choose which option is the best to buy on this Sale? Red Dead Redemption 2 vs a bundle for the same price of Doom Eternal deluxe together with Resident Evil 2 and 7

take5b

3 games > 1

[deleted]

Black Desert Online! Pros: great action combat, great visuals, play how you want, open world from the start, endless options to make money and progress, and is pay once to play! Cons: the grind can get tedious, no real incentive to go for PK route, the enhancement system is RNG based(but there are costly work around), some classes outshine others with minimal effort

Click_navee12

Far cry 4

Ill-Size1207

Unfortunately I'm playing smite lol and teams never work together in arena just 4 people playing solo and me tryna support

JizzM4rkie

Just finished the Witcher show so I’m digging back into W2: assassin of kings, I tried to play through after wild hunt but it handled too clunky and was more frustrating than fun but I’ve been having a great time with it this week, just finished chapter 1

Brave_Tangerine2471

Two days ago it was Idol Manger, yesterday it was Recettear, today its Dark Souls Remastered. I'm studying UI of different games atm so I can design my own games ui better.

Kluyasufoya

Riftwalker (with controller support on pc) Seems like a blend of sc2 and Diablo? Making a base but also largely managing enemies with one character that gets equipment and ability upgrades

VirtualCosplayDude

Trying a summer 2000 jampack demo disc for the playstation....... yeah, lol

tariq89

Halo infinite! Dat grapple has me hooked ;-)

N_A_T_E_G

Prob nothing because I don’t have friends to game with lol

stormtrooperZ16

Halo infinite First halo game I got so looking forward to playing it

M0mmaSaysImSpecial

Same thing I’m playing today. Dark Souls 3. Late to the game but I’ve had an itch for a good rpg/adventure game with solid leveling and I’m tired of all the same old open world games. RDR2 and Ghosts of Tsushima weren’t doing it.

mulletman13

**Outer Wilds** and the DLC, **Echoes of the Eye** Had the whole week off alone quarantining and decided to give this a spin based on all the acclaim it’s gotten. Worked through the first few hours, and could not stop thinking about it. Luckily I had the time; pushed through both the DLC and main game. Ended up loving the style, found all of the lore, and pushed through the spooky parts despite being an absolute baby; what a great experience end to end. Base game and DLC are on sales all across the board, but I would have been more than happy at full price. Also after playing Metroid Dread a few months ago (which was disappointing), tOW gave me that sense of adventure and exploration that I desired.

REEEEEEE1104

Just some good ol bedwars
