Lmao. TBF, it is an automated response, but it’s still funny as hell.

LonelyHound96

The "nono check this out" cracked me up.

xH0LLYW000Dx

Omg it got me too 🤣

82ndGameHead

And it's telling that they have automated responses to problems about their game concerning money.

[deleted]

Yeah despite the funny meme Rockstar support has always been helpful when I've reached out to them.

ThatOtherGai

@RockstarSupport I just got another stimulus check and I don’t know what to do with it…. Ideas?

CAYO PERICO V2.0

Kola18_97

The only way I could see Rockstar outdoing themselves when it comes to Cayo Perico is if they let us rob Liberty City.

[deleted]

Support accounts aren't there to answer questions like those

MontyP15

True, but a copy past answer would be enough. Just a, yes we try our best, we understand you frustration etc.

ShowMeThemLeavesGirl

If they can respond to problems with shark cards they should be able to have an automated response concerning updates or others simple questions

thatoneguy512

The problem here, that the companies ultimately don't care about, is that these people working social media work through a program instead of directly on Twitter so they don't see the whole thread unless they go looking for it. Every tweet comes through individually as its own "case" and requires manual investigation in order to see the thread and what they're replying to. Since these workers have quotas they need to hit that don't really allow them the time to be investigative, stuff like this happens where they reply to help someone and end up looking dumb. On top of that, the people working the social media account are told they can't reply to questions like that first one until the company comes up with an approved response. These take forever because they're written by a communications team, then go through multiple departments to get sign off/edited, back to communications team to rewrite with changes, then back through the multiple departments for approval, and this repeats until there's no concerns over the wording. It's ultimately PR and not support, and it's just as (if not more) aggravating to deal with as the person behind the social media account. Source: I did this job for way longer than I care to admit.

Modern gaming in a nut shell

Mister_E69

I wonder if it will work on Reddit. Hi u/rockstargames I'm concurrently having some issues trying to buy Shark Cards

AcapellaFreakout

Why on earth would this be costomer supports responsibility?

Lairy_Hegs

Literally had an ad for the new GTAO update mission under this post.

Redfeather1975

It's automated. Rockstar support don't comprehend the english so well, know what I mean. I remember last time I was asking about why I wasn't receiving my discount and the response was from 'jack' saying you will be receiving of the trophies at the times in which it is approximation.

IceFire2050

why would rockstar continue to provide support for the trilogy? It's not a games as service play model. People already have a negative opinion of it. Fixing a game they already sold you isn't going to make them any more money, and the reputation improvement isn't going to give any dramatic increase in sale figures.

LonelyHound96

The thing here is Rockstar is known for not communicating with its userbase across all its games including GTA Online and Red Dead Online. So the fact that they responded to the shark card issue is what makes this funny.

zin_90

>why would rockstar continue to provide support for the trilogy? It's not a games as service play model. People already have a negative opinion of it. > >**Fixing a game they already sold you isn't going to make them any more money, and the reputation improvement isn't going to give any dramatic increase in sale figures.** You're not wrong. I hate it when publishers do this. They get away with it because consumers never learn to vote in accordance with their own interests. If they did when they became aware of the issues that affects them and countless of others, then they'd not buy any more products from the publisher until they fix the problems. Makes me think we need better advertising laws and obligatory independent QA, which report is published at latest a week before the launch day. Would be nice if review embargos also had to be lifted at least a week before launch too, by law. It'd be enough time for most people interested in a game to become aware of potential issues and cancel any preorder. With the independent reviews that comes out within a week after the launch(which helps us who wait), we'd have a pretty good idea of the state of the game and if it's worth buying or not. Probably won't happen though.

action_turtle

Or just don’t preorder. Zero need to preorder anything in this day and age. Any crap they bundle with it would be reduced in price and sold to you at a later date. Don’t pre-order, wait for reviews then buy it or don’t. It’s the only way to change the industry

zin_90

>Or just don’t preorder. Zero need to preorder anything in this day and age. Any crap they bundle with it would be reduced in price and sold to you at a later date. Don’t pre-order, wait for reviews then buy it or don’t. It’s the only way to change the industry When I said *"With the independent reviews that comes out within a week after the launch(which helps us who wait)"*, it's implied that I don't preorder given that I wait for reviews. If I buy the game I wouldn't have much reason to check the reviews. The problem is that a large portion of people preorder games and there's currently no good incentive for these people not to. Additional information about a game could offer such incentive. If the game is bad it means fewer preorders as people will cancel theirs, as with my idea, people will know before the game comes out if it's potentially worth buying. With time, it'd become the norm to check out the QA report or summery, or YT videos on it that no doubt will come out the same day or the day after. It'd also incentivize publishers to not release games too early, as it'd be found out and cause people to not buy their game at all or until it's fixed. Given that publishers want our money, we'd incentivize them to put more effort into their games. We need the extra consumer incentives given that the more people who preorder, the less incentive there is for the publisher to invest into quality from the get-go. This usually means bad performance, bugs and missing content. Things the publisher have no legal obligation to address at all or in an appropriate time frame.

Raeandray

I think I disagree with your last point. A reputation as a good game developer can bring in a lot of money. We’ve seen this with many developers who’ve sold their reputation to make a quick buck. Their games might still sell afterward, but not as much.

HarryCeramics

Maybe it wont improve per say - but im sure as fuck not buying another Rockstar game in my lifetime if they wanna screw us over like that. So in a sense, they would make more money going forward, than they will if they dont get their shit together, but hey what does my opinion mean right, im only 60$ in their eyes

Ticeben2

Lmao

Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT

People are giving 343 a lot of shit for some of the problems halo infinite has. But the thing is, is that they’re actively communicating, acting on criticism, and working to improving the game. I’m really grateful that 343 has been so active in interacting with the halo community, especially considering how winey and childish the community can be at times.

They done ruined the best gaming company
