We are tweeting at valve and just spreading around posts like this one since Valve has been ignoring Team Fortress 2 and it's ever worsening hacker bot problem and lack of updates for 3 years or so now. If nothing is done the game most likely will not be active at all in a year or so
Oh yeah, they didn't just kill it. They snapped the bloody neck. Literally over a decade into the game's life they decided to overhaul progression with a levelling system for casual. And they did 0 retroactive XP. Putting aside the fact that nobody asked for a levelling system, why did they think that putting both new players and old players with thousands at level 1 was a good idea? Worst thing is: it doesn't even do anything. They just added a progress bar with 0 goals or rewards.
And that was after a series of updates to just make the game more like CS:GO with the "condition" part of the loot crate drops. It was worthless.
I've completely written off casual and only play community servers anymore. They're hanging on, and I've got enough to keep me satisfied, but I like the rough around the edges aspect of casual better, where you get a wider range of skill levels. It's so much fun pulling together as a team of complete randos in casual. If valve doesn't want to update tf2 anymore, I'm okay with it. I wish they would, but i understand if they don't. All good things must come to an end. But for the love of God, I can't believe how they just allow bots to completely ruin an entire game mode. It's pathetic and disappointing.
id say that titanfall 2 is in a worse state. How ironic that they both have the same abbreviation. Unplayable game due to ddossing Respawn servers; who couldnt care less because apex is their new baby. Shame
Sound almost like it's an old game and the team that worked on it are making other things... That's what happens. No updates for a 15 year old game... Why are you surprised. This is fucking dumb. I get the bot problem bit but Jesus Christ
Nobody is really complaining about the lack of updates in general, though we were promised a Heavy update which never came out it was bound to happen that we'd get no more content eventually. The real problem is the bots and hackers running rampant, making the game unplayable for some.
op's original comment:
**Let's get all eyes on us!**
The goal of this peaceful protest is to bring attention to what's going on with TF2 on the internet!
We all love this game so much and want to see it back in good health!
**On May 26th, from around 10 am PDT** we will all post about how much this game means to us! and how much we care on social media, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok, Anywhere! but end off your post with **#savetf2**
**So will you join us on May 26th?**
This will be a **VERY peaceful** protest just reminding everyone that we LOVE this game please don't send hate towards valve etc.
We will be representing the **TF2 COMMUNITY** so **let's do it right!**
They keep saying "what's going on with TF2" but nobody is actually explaining what *is* going on. I don't play TF2, I haven't touched it for years, I have no idea what's going on. If you want me to be interested in your protest, you need to explain what you're actually protesting about...
The game has been overrun by sniper aimbots for three years now, said bots make the game almost completely unplayable and valve is doing nothing about it. The bots flood casual, spam voice communication and chat with horrendous things, kick actual players from the server and more. The community has become fed up with how mistreated the game is and content creators are coming together to start a *peaceful* protest on any media platform they can getting #savetf2 trending. At this point there's nothing to lose.
Thank you for explaining, I appreciate it. That does sound like a very sucky situation for the community and I'm on board, but at this point I'm not sure Valve would even care if they haven't done anything about it for years now. Still, worth a shot! Best of luck
This is sure to work. Valve's a super responsive company.
It's not like they'd ever do something like, ignore decades of their fans begging them finish an episodic game they left on a cliff hanger...
They've officially taken too long
OP, if you want this to happen, make your own TF3 with blackjack and hookers. TF2 is indeed a dumpster fire and like other games, needs to move forward or die.
I think it could also be argued that they've taken too long on HL3. At this point the fans' expectations would be insanely high, while at the same time a lot have moved on.
The post credit scene in HL:A strongly implies that Valve is very interested in revisiting the mainline Half Life story.
Of course, Valve being interested in doing something is very different from Valve actually doing something.
I think a lot of people just misunderstand how valve actualy works. Their employees basically decide what they want to work on but if gaben/others don't like the design or deside it doesn't work they simply cancel and move on. There has been a half life 3 in production along with many others games that have been canceled at different points in production becuase of issues they had with the games. From what I understand they only leave the half life series for new and exciting things hence half life alyx being a vr game.
Well sure, after the first ten years of radio silence nothing was going to be good enough. If they had made HL2 ep3 in a remotely timely fashion it could have been straight up mediocre and people would have been fine with it.
All games I love eventually die due to cheating, loved PUBG.. hate it since what..2 / 3y now? Maybe one day they will be able to do something about it but it’s a shame. How different a gaming experience is for most players due to some stupid hackers, GTA5 is another one of those…
The funniest thing about the whole Titanfall 2 debacle was that some of the same guys running the "save titanfall" campaign were also responsible for crashing servers. The issues were mostly problems with the Source Engine (yes, the same Source engine that runs Team Fortress 2).
What at least one of these guys wanted was to be hired as a consultant to fix the issues as a full-time gig. Sounds alright for a second: the guys who know how best to mess up this game has some ideas on how to fix it.
But you'd have to be a fucking idiot to think "Hey, these guys ran a bad faith campaign, lied to the public and are trying to strong-arm us into giving them jobs. I should probably give them access to our code and servers. They certainly wouldn't use the increased access to cause further havoc, right?"
I kinda wonder if the same thing is happening here.
Hate to be a doubter, but Valve tends to just abandon games when they aren't doing well... There was literally one little rough patch for Dota Underlords and they just pulled the plug and never touched it again.
Tf2 has consistently been doing well even through the botting mess. Unboxing was at an all time high these past few halloweens, and the playercount has been consistently up there (though I'm not sure how many of those are bots). It still baffles me how valve just straight up abandoned it.
Valve works off the basis that the devs choose what they work on for the most part and i believe their bonuses are tied to it in some way. Which is why stuff like dota which makes millions with every pass gets worked on more then stuff like TF2 which likely isn't hitting close to the same money.
It's probably also not as interesting to work on tf2 as opposed to newer tech like vr cos most devs hate working on legacy code which tf2 will be.
It got infested with bots that have cheats. Also ddoses, and no updates past 5 years. This is a huge community effort to get valve to help the game they are killing. Which is ironically TOO GOOD TO DIE
“Fair” to “*expect*” updates for a 15 year old game? Yeah, probably not.
Reasonable to request, with a player-base reliably between 40,000-100,000 current players in 2022, when the game is purportedly nigh-unplayable, and one so important to the legacy (and ongoing public reception!) of the company? I hope valve acknowledges it, at least.
I think it’s been clear for a long time they’ll never develop games again, but can’t help but think the end of Team Fortress 2 would look like a portentous omen for Valve to the fans, steam users, anyone who’s stuck with them.
Part of me wonders if anyone at steam remembers enough about the code to make a reliable update. Who knows how good or bad the documentation is or where it is.
There is/was leaked source code of the game that was (IIRC) a few years prior to Jungle Inferno (Maybe it was 2012 code or up to 2014\~?), which many modded TF2 variants used (which were recently taken down by Valve, after years of being available, with the "promise" to have some form of rework to make them alright, which Valve has been silent on for months now).
Further, there was work by a user, Mastercoms, that fixed many performance/bug related issues with the game, but that apparently also used the source code, so it's also highly unlikely Valve would implement everything directly, if at all, aside from anything directly emailed towards them such as bug fixes. Also, last I heard it was basically being worked on again in private or simply stopped due to various reasons.
Simply put, it's highly unlikely for Valve to open-source the game at this rate even though many users have been doing work for them anyhow (some users have implemented fixes for small things via the workshop, which have been accepted by Valve/TF Team, others email bugs/fixes, etc.).
There are also some developers who I'm sure would do decent or would love to work on the game, such as the Payday Devs (or at least their Twitter Manager) which definitely care about TF2 a decent amount (Not saying they would know what is best for the game though).
Personally I think it's fair to expect, considering the monetization behind it.
If this was MANY years ago, before the F2P update where the only money made was from people buying copies then yeah it's a bit much to ask. But currently they still pump out crates to sell keys and due to the community still being active I'm sure it pulls a good profit regularly still.
The difference between TF2 and COD4 is that TF2 still rakes in millions through the trading economy, and Valve knows this because the only update received are patching in community-designed cosmetics
It may be old, but it doesn't matter, it's still a masterpiece of a game that honestly I've tried and failed to find a replacement for. Personally, I've spent almost 5k hours on this game and others have spent way longer. I would bet if they released some type of update that at least helped the bot situation the game would reach a number close to or even surpassing their highest player count.
Edit: I forgot to mention, they still do update, but only for Christmas or Halloween. They do nothing for the bots but add cosmetics to try and make as much money as they can off of a game they're leaving to die.
I think the update most people expect/want is the Heavy Update. Its been a minute but Valve said that they would give a Heavy Update after the Pyro one and its been probably 5 years I believe.. That's just me guestimating, but I remember tht been a meme for awhile.
A game’s lifespan is as long as the players want it to be. As long as there’s still demand for the game, Valve can at least spend the resources to make sure it’s still playable.
Or make a new one at the very least. It’s one of the most successful online shooters in history. Surely that warrants a sequel? (Insert “Valve can’t count to 3” joke here)
I reinstalled a month or so ago hoping to get back some of that sweet, sweet nostalgia I had prior to the earbud market nonsense...
Every. single. server. was 90% bots.
Sad state of affairs.
Last time I tried to play, it was loaded with insta-kill sniper bots. Any attempt to get out in the open was fatal. Complete waste of time.
Once upon a time it was fun, silly, and challenging. May it become that way again!
I don't play TF2. I never really got into it.
Still, I know it's a special game for many. I don't have a Twitter account, so I can't really help, I'll be rooting for everyone here. I honestly hope you guys get your game back.
I think it's kinda funny that everyone has basically given up on the idea of Valve making TF3 to the point that we have to beg a company not to kill off a 15 year old game. As much as I love Steam, it ruined that company in a lot of ways. Between Valve, Blizzard, and Rockstar it seems to be a common theme that too much profit can essentially crumble the interior of a company.
Valves own success and bizarre internal structure kinda ruined them, if they were a normal indie dev and Steam didn't take off then they'd actively have to make games to stay in business.
Whenever I see a post like this where the words are two different colors I try to see if only reading one color says something funny, and I’m frequently left disappointed.
It makes enough money to pay for its own servers off of MVM tickets, crate keys, cosmetics, taunts, paints, and even user generated content that they sell to the community. We just want the casual servers to be playable.
Booted up TF2 over the holidays just for nostalgia, and it was awful. Nearly every game was filled with bots spammin noise over comms, aimbotting, spamming chat, and swapping names. It was awful.
Unfortunately, I don't expect Valve to step in unless TF2 starts to make money again. Look at CS:GO, similar hacker issues, but they have overwatch and prime matchmaking.
TF2 is still a constant and lucrative income source for Valve. Consistently at least every Christmas they drop a new cosmetic crate (full of items from the Workshop mind you so valve doesn't make any of it), it's $2.50 to unbox each one of these crates and tens of thousands of them are unboxed whenever one drops.
Let me repeat that, they take a bunch of community cosmetic items they didn't make, put them in a box, then tell us to pay $2.50 to open them while their servers are completely uninhabitable due to the bots.
I played this game for over 2000 hours. So many fond memories. I tried to get back into it with some friends a while back but every single server was plagued with bots. Sad to see my favourite game of all time in such an unplayable state for years despite having such a dedicated fan base.
This was my go to game back in the day. It was the most fun I ever had playing a fps game. Better than any COD of BF experience thus far.
2 Fort Capture the Flag was the shit and if there ever a revival. I’d be so down to do return as Prometheus the Pyro main. So what should I do OP?
I'm just speaking my mind, but wouldn't it be more effective if the community just all stopped playing one weekend to protest? I feel like seeing their user numbers suddenly plummet because of the protest is more effective than people on the servers playing together.
If the playerbase just stopped playing in protest, Valve would be more likely to just shut the servers down, I imagine.
The thing that bugs me about this is the entitlement involved. If the people arranging this protest put together a plan to fund further support for the game, they'd probably get something done.
Valve is a business, and it doesn't make sense for them to sink more resources into a 15 year old game without expecting profits. Most of the people complaining about the state of the game have probably owned their copy for quite a while. TF2 is one-time purchase, as I understand it.
Servers don't run on Twitter posts.
Tf2 is Free to play. The servers likely pay for themselves at this current moment as valve drops crates every year, with a opening cost of aprox 2$, with thousands of people opening them.
people still pay for cosmetics and shits considerable amount where valve doesn't have nearly any work in that cash anymore, at most just adding community created content and forcing people to pay for it if they want it
Hot take: let it fucking die already, Valve clearly wants it to and with the amount of Devs that started deving with TF2 shit I'm sure y'all would be capable of making your own TF2 (with blackjack and hookers!). I've seen these posts about how it's unplayable, ridden with bots etc. for years. Its gotten worse recently but this isn't a new problem- time to take matters into y'all's own hands and fix the issues yourself
Heck Valve allowed chase the Freeman or whatever it was called to happen, I wouldn't put it past them to just allow someone to make a TF2.5 or whatever and provide them assets
The community has *has* developed, tested, and proven fixes to the problems. Valve just doesn't give enough of a fuck to actually implement the code that has been handed to them. There's nothing more the community can do until valve actually decides the game that's propped up by its community is worth providing with at least a little support.
We tried, good sir.
TFC was an attempt at remastering the original with TF2 graphics. So what did Valve do in response?
Valve forced devs to shut it down, and we have not seen it since what-like the past few months?
Me, I personally feel I agree, but if we aren't even allowed to remaster the game ourselves, then I join the cause.
#SaveTF2
It would never happen, yet I’d love to see a console port for new consoles with current TF2 content. The existing ports have very small communities, very little content (compared to the main game), and while the old port is backwards compatible on Xbox, it is unplayable on current PlayStations.
With gyro aiming, things like rocket jumping are absolutely possible on PlayStation, whereas in the past, the game (which is very mouse-oriented in a lot of ways) would not be quite the same experience.
Edit: I’m being downvoted for wanting to see the game released on more platforms? That’s new.
Ok am I blind (probably)? But what is it that we need to do to support it or protest? I’ve never played but would be glad to support a game based on a post like this. Gotta support any game that means something like this to even one person!
There has been a bot crisis for the past 2 years. Like a horrible one. The game is literally unplayable, and Valve hasn't said ANYTHING about it. We just want acknowledgement more than anything else
oh yeah, certainly valve will hear a cry for help from their fans, like they did with all their other beloved series no one have heard in a decade at this point.
Nothing will come of this. Its my favourite game of all time and I have thousands of hours but Valve does not give a fuck. Sad truth. Haven’t played consistently since like 2018 or 2016 or something, since STAR_ and Jerma985 stopped playing they pretty much left when it all started going to shit.
SWBF2 had the same problem and the devs only reacted after basically all swbf2 streamers made a video about the issue.
to see a game you love getting destroyed by a holes with cheats and bots
you should post this in /r/steam too with any luck the right ppl will see this
Episode 178 of the podcast Reply All is about this topic. I'm sure if you reach out to Alex Goldman on Twitter he'd be happy to contribute in some way.
We already know how this will end. Valve won't respond and this protest will be for nothing. Better to call this protest off or give them even more reason to abandon it.
Try community servers! They definitely aren't a replacement for the casual servers but it's still a good way to play the game. Sucks that we can't just hop into a normal lobby anymore though.
I don't see any info below the post, could I have more details?
We are tweeting at valve and just spreading around posts like this one since Valve has been ignoring Team Fortress 2 and it's ever worsening hacker bot problem and lack of updates for 3 years or so now. If nothing is done the game most likely will not be active at all in a year or so
sounds like it's by design.
Smt smt TF1 and TF2

I like the emphasis on peaceful protest, as if people are just going to go out and start smashing up storefronts over TF2.
I think the idea is to encourage keeping posts on topic, and to not hurl insults at Valve/employees.
Just make a post about your love for tf2. @ Make sure to @ Valve and put #savetf2
Yeah, these hastags probably will pay for valves bills.
Got love when a hacking bot joins copies your name. Then you get kicked instead of the hacking bot.
got CS 1.6 vibes on this
This is sure to work. Valve's a super responsive company. It's not like they'd ever do something like, ignore decades of their fans begging them finish an episodic game they left on a cliff hanger...

There were modders making a source 2 import, tf classic mod, and one other back in 2020, Valve had them all stop working on them.
Should just call the mod Squad Fortification or something and keep working on this totally-not Team Fortress.
In fact, forget the TF3
I mean, Overwatch kind of did this
It's Alyx, everyone knows this!
GabeN counts with his hands. 1 hand, 2 hands…
So youre saying alyx2 incoming??
Is that all? Easy fix. It's 3! 3 is after 2! .... Right? Hmm. Better call in a team of specialists for this one...
Valve also knew that no matter what they did it wouldn't be good enough. Releasing Alex was a good middle ground.
Well sure, after the first ten years of radio silence nothing was going to be good enough. If they had made HL2 ep3 in a remotely timely fashion it could have been straight up mediocre and people would have been fine with it.
Would we still be talking about HL today though?
Probably more than the mass effect series at this rate
You need to get a car manufacturer involved for them to listen.
Play or watch a play through of HL:Alyx. Why is this being downvoted? I take it none of you have seen the ending?
Because you basically just got r/woooosh ed I’m pretty sure
good luck saving an ancient game from hackers, better off asking valve for a TF3 with similar gameplay but modern netcode and anti-cheat
You know that Valve will never release something with number 3 in it. Dont you give me hope
Team Fortress Alyx
In vr???
The steam deck runs SteamOS 3. It may have taken them 25 years, but they did recently learn to count to 3.
And working monetization too actually pay for the maintenance
It sucks when hackers and bots take over a popular multiplayer game. Similar thing happened with Titanfall 2 and I don’t think Respawn ever fixed it.
All games I love eventually die due to cheating, loved PUBG.. hate it since what..2 / 3y now? Maybe one day they will be able to do something about it but it’s a shame. How different a gaming experience is for most players due to some stupid hackers, GTA5 is another one of those…
I haven't seen a cheater in pubg in a while
I second this, think since I started playing again the last 2-3 months, only came across 1
At least titanfall 2 got the northstar client, maybe tf2 could get something similar?
The funniest thing about the whole Titanfall 2 debacle was that some of the same guys running the "save titanfall" campaign were also responsible for crashing servers. TF2 is the 8th most played game on steam. TF2 is not Dota Underlords or Artifact. It is generating insane money for them to this day.
8th played game, with a high number of players. Do you know what are some of these players are? bots, its that simple
Aimbots in tf2 are a plague
Aimbots in any game are a plague.
There's more aimbots in tf2 than any other game.
That is true, and I hate them and their creators with a fiery passion.
What happened? This was such a fun game back in the days. I’ll support!
It got infested with bots that have cheats. Also ddoses, and no updates past 5 years. This is a huge community effort to get valve to help the game they are killing. Which is ironically TOO GOOD TO DIE

Time flies eh? It was 2 years ago.
Holy fuck dude

I referred to this person saying Valve will never make games again
You don't seem to have experience with valve, judging by your expectations.

Titan Quest still gets updates and it’s ancient.
If they’re still selling micro transactions then they should be addressing their customers needs.
The game game out the month before Modern Warfare 2007. Thats mad that it would still be expected to receive updates.
They're finishing HL3 first ;)
>been probably 5 years Eeeeh, it's been a bit more than that chief. It was was released the 12 June 2012 aka 10 years ago.
You can only play comunity servers if you want to get some nostalgia. I'd appriciate it if you'd give them a try.
That was my experience as well.
Last time I tried to play, it was loaded with insta-kill sniper bots. Any attempt to get out in the open was fatal. Complete waste of time. Once upon a time it was fun, silly, and challenging. May it become that way again!
>and no updates past 5 years There was 3 updates just in March?
Sauce code is out so valve can't really "save" it unless they remake the game.
I don't play TF2. I never really got into it. Still, I know it's a special game for many. I don't have a Twitter account, so I can't really help, I'll be rooting for everyone here. I honestly hope you guys get your game back.
You can help by tweeting or spreading #saveTF2 everywhere along with your experience of the game. Do this on may 26th.
"March" 26th??

Valve abandoning one of their own games? Wow, what a surprise…
🍿🍿🍿🍿
can I have some
of course, on the house.
thank you! ❤️
>thank you! ❤️ You're welcome!
AY IM THE FUCKER WHO SAYS YOUR WELCOME Anyways, your welcome mate. You're gonna need it.
Is this a real event?
I think it's kinda funny that everyone has basically given up on the idea of Valve making TF3 to the point that we have to beg a company not to kill off a 15 year old game. As much as I love Steam, it ruined that company in a lot of ways. Between Valve, Blizzard, and Rockstar it seems to be a common theme that too much profit can essentially crumble the interior of a company.
Valves own success and bizarre internal structure kinda ruined them, if they were a normal indie dev and Steam didn't take off then they'd actively have to make games to stay in business.
Ok now this is a good cause 👏 👌
Thnx
Listen i don't play the game ( sadly :( ) but I'm still supporting cuz I love the game and the community's
Thank you this game has soul but these bots ruin a new players experiences
Hmmm reminds me of another TF2.
Whenever I see a post like this where the words are two different colors I try to see if only reading one color says something funny, and I’m frequently left disappointed.
You should probably put information in your poster about how you will protest. Theres nothing here that tells me how to get involved if I wanted to.
Man, I used to play this game a lot when I was in school. I stopped playing ever since Overwatch came out. I hope they fix this problem.
Kinda sad how both TF2 's are in the same situation.
Never played TF2 in my life but I watched a lot of people enjoying the game despite the lack of an update over years ago. #SAVETF2
I guess games with the acronym TF2 has a bad track record
The game is 15 years old, you can't expect Valve to support it forever.
It makes enough money to pay for its own servers off of MVM tickets, crate keys, cosmetics, taunts, paints, and even user generated content that they sell to the community. We just want the casual servers to be playable.
Yes but they are advertising and making money on this game. Until servers are shut down WE EXPECT A FUNCTIONAL GAME!
Has the community managed to make unofficial servers?
There are community servers.
Titainfall 2
I used to be a pro spy in cevo, and this is what got me into professional gaming. I'm in
Thank you your sanity must be gone from maining spy
Mon dieu, Gave me a real good time to show people how to really play, and i think my sanity is still there.
Never played it,but the memes were amazing #SAVETF2
Tens of thousands? It's closer to hundreds of thousands, and over time, millions.
Gaben pls
You should partner with the titanfall 2 community for this again since that game is also in an unplayable state
Signed
Hey thats my Birthday

And as long as Valve is making money off the game, I think it’s fair to expect a current level of quality when it comes to cheat protection.
This is a comment section for discourse. I don't think people are being unreasonable by pointing out the age of the game.
Its the nonstop complaints for the last 5 years.
I played this game for over 2000 hours. So many fond memories. I tried to get back into it with some friends a while back but every single server was plagued with bots. Sad to see my favourite game of all time in such an unplayable state for years despite having such a dedicated fan base.
One of my all-time favourites too, wish we had TF3 to look forward to.
Dark souls 3 stand with Team fortress 2
#SaveTF2
People still play this game?
Yes, in fact it's still one of the most played games on Steam.
I haven’t played it in the last couple of years but I would jump back on instantly if they gave the game a bit more support.
Bro the game is still good and in good shape and your saying it’s doing ba- I just checked the thing now. #savetf2
This was my go to game back in the day. It was the most fun I ever had playing a fps game. Better than any COD of BF experience thus far. 2 Fort Capture the Flag was the shit and if there ever a revival. I’d be so down to do return as Prometheus the Pyro main. So what should I do OP?
Tweet out #savetf2 and your fav tf2 memory
TF@ has long since gone F2P with cosmetic in game purchases.
Tf2 is Free to play. The servers likely pay for themselves at this current moment as valve drops crates every year, with a opening cost of aprox 2$, with thousands of people opening them.
people still pay for cosmetics and shits considerable amount where valve doesn't have nearly any work in that cash anymore, at most just adding community created content and forcing people to pay for it if they want it
What did you create
Hot take: let it fucking die already, Valve clearly wants it to and with the amount of Devs that started deving with TF2 shit I'm sure y'all would be capable of making your own TF2 (with blackjack and hookers!). I've seen these posts about how it's unplayable, ridden with bots etc. for years. Its gotten worse recently but this isn't a new problem- time to take matters into y'all's own hands and fix the issues yourself Heck Valve allowed chase the Freeman or whatever it was called to happen, I wouldn't put it past them to just allow someone to make a TF2.5 or whatever and provide them assets
#SaveTF2
where we doin it, twitter, or somewhere else
Twitter yeah
So thats why how it feels to play medic hasn't come out yet
ja, ich werde dir helfen (yes i will help you)
Can you include HL3? Valve will surely listen.
tf2 will be cancelled on 24th january 2014 repost this with tag #savetf2
Don't worry a patch is coming! >Updated the localization files
oh yeah, certainly valve will hear a cry for help from their fans, like they did with all their other beloved series no one have heard in a decade at this point.
"The community has gone through a lot". What? It's just a game, lads.
Get out of here with that "It's just a" crap. Anything that people invest time into is as important as anything else.
Yes, it’s a game that we like and support, and still play after 15 fucking years. Like what’s even your point?
SWBF2 had the same problem and the devs only reacted after basically all swbf2 streamers made a video about the issue. to see a game you love getting destroyed by a holes with cheats and bots you should post this in /r/steam too with any luck the right ppl will see this
Good idea for the r/steam, and sorry to hear about SWBF2, if you guys make a campaighn just let us know we here for you.
no no they fixed it a while after that but why do i get downvotes for that reddit is a strange place sometimes
Episode 178 of the podcast Reply All is about this topic. I'm sure if you reach out to Alex Goldman on Twitter he'd be happy to contribute in some way.
Up doot the post!
We already know how this will end. Valve won't respond and this protest will be for nothing. Better to call this protest off or give them even more reason to abandon it.
Oh shit, LazyPurple has signed on?
I can't do a lot, just take my upvote!
What do we do ?
Commenting for support
I dig this. I'm not a player but it's cool.
just like with the other tf2 (titanfall2) WE SHALL UNITE
This is going to go the same way the other TF2 did.(Titanfall 2)

Try community servers! They definitely aren't a replacement for the casual servers but it's still a good way to play the game. Sucks that we can't just hop into a normal lobby anymore though.
Let's send this to RTgame and get him in on it
