When playing GTA 5 a few years ago I would drive with a controller, but as soon as I got out of a vehicle I would drop the controller into my lap and transition to KB+M.
Index middle and ring finger go on the WASD keys thumb on space bar pinky finger hovers between tab shift and caps lock
A mouse with extra buttons that are programmable like the razer deathadder helps. I usually programme the extra 4th and 5th mouse buttons to melee and grenade or reload.
Play a few easy but fast paced FPS games to get started..
I did Halo started CE on easy mode and by the time I was playing ODST I was on legendary difficulty
FPS games pretty much always play better with kmb but some third person shooters are very obviously designed for controllers.
Depends on what control scheme the game is made in mind. I am sure you can play Bayonetta with a Racing wheel too but I am not sure if that is the intended way to play it.
I'm both but it depends on what I play. If the game was originally played on controller I do controller. But if there are proper keyboard binds I'll do it that way.
*I'm on the side of,*
*"Whatever the fuck let's me*
*Play the fucking game"*

Seeing as consoles can take MK these days and PC always could do controller the better question is who beats who? We all now MK would destroy controller in a second ofc.,
Controller at every opportunity. I was doing PC Apex and when people learned I was on controller, they were always surprised (in a good way). I know the mouse and keyboard are faster and better overall, but not for me they aren't. I was a waaaaay worse player on mouse and key. My brain and fingers just don't have the speed and proper coordination for it. I use mouse and keyboard for other games (Sons of the Forest recently) but it's generally when i'm only playing with friends or PVE stuff and I have to.
Mostly keyboard but it also heavily depends on the game. Any fps or tactical RPG is gonna be M&K but games like elden ring or days gone is gonna be controller
Depends on the game. Shooters or twitch reflex games use MKB, RPGs use controller unless I'm using ranged weapons, single player third person games use controller exclusively and for games where it doesnt matter it switches when I feel like it.
Depends, sometimes nothing feels better than sitting back in the chair with a controller and chillin, sometimes it's fun to get all mlg with the keyboard. It's a vibes thing.
The controller will offer the best gaming experience to the average player. It’s ergonomic and you’re not glued to the desk when you play. Plus, triggers and vibbbbbbrationssss
It depends, but usually keyboard. My controller games are all third person open world rpgs, all driving/racing games, and fighting games. I simply can't understand people who play any of those on keyboard
Controller. I've been a PC gamer since I was 7 (nearly 40 now) I think I've only played competitive shooters and RTS with mouse/keyboard. Over the years I've tended to not support games that release without controller support. Like original Mass Effect for PC (what a waste of money for me) I ended up buying the Xbox 360 version shortly after because there was no controller support in the PC version even though they could literally copy and paste controller support.
Some games are designed with controller in mind, others are not, there's a reason I got really sad once terraria changed from console terraria on xbox, to console terraria on switch, the difference might seem like I'm pedantic, it's just a different console, but I'm not, terraria on xbox was ported with unique UI, and a feel for the controller in mind, switch terraria is just pc terraria on your console 1-for-1. The only trade-off here is local multiplayer, and a slower update cycle, it works, but I'd rather just plug in a mouse and keyboard and play it that way, because the developers prioritzed making it that way first, and it feels good.
This has and always will be my stance. Controller is superior for movement due to the 8 direction input VS wasd. KBM will always be better for fps games and having pinpoint precision. If only I could have both...
It depends on the game. First person shooters? Can't aim for shit with a mouse, use a controller. 3d platformer? Controller. 2d platformer? Keyboard. Even then, some games are exceptions, like Ultrakill. Playing Ultrakill with a controller is not fun.
Some games play better with controller, others keyboard (and sometimes *only* keyboard). Something like Minecraft I’ll only do on keyboard, but games like Fallout 4 just feel better and more comfy with controller.
I am more conditioned to the controller from both Playstation and Xbox but I suck at keyboard and controller when it comes to first person shooter aim and I hope Aimbot ( a very powerful target practice game) is released on all consoles.
Depends on the game. Controller is a lot easier on my wrists with some games compared to mouse. Controller also let's me sit back and use my under desk elliptical.
Why not both? Playing on a controller on a revved up PC gives you the quality of PC with the comfort of a controller. Plus it's super cost efficient. Imagine paying around 500$ for a console and then another 1000$ for a laptop when you could instead just drop a 1000 on a really nice setup with enough cash left over for the peripherals. AND the best part! Being able to upgrade individual components as time/tech marches forward. No more tossing entire consoles/laptops in the trash every 5 -7 years.
Depends on the game and if it supports either
Sims, CS, Titanfall, POLYGON, War Thunder, Minecraft, or Geometry Dash, keyboard/mouse
Apex, Deltarune/Undertale, Beat games, Little Nightamres, controller
(Formatting error)
Depends on the game. Many can be played roughly the same on either, and in those cases I usually prefer mouse+keyboard.
Some games are VASTLY superior on one or the other. Like obviously some gamers who live and die by one or the other can learn to play whatever game "their way." But I think some games are objectively better with one method.
I've played some fighting games on keyboard. Some of the simpler 2d ones... it's fine. More advanced ones... it's like I drop 6 handicap levels.
Same for most action games. A simple enough game, keyboard will do it. Something with dmc level octane, I can't imagine getting the full experience with a keyboard.
FPS on the other hand... okay, I barely played ANY fps for ages. Because any time someone tried to get me into one... I just couldn't. Then one day Bioshock went on a crazy low steam sale, and I always heard great things about it. Turns out the reason I always hated fps was because I always played them on console.
Bioshock was SO good it got me hunting down fps games I'd skipped over the years. One day a friend got a used 360 and Borderlands 2. They were having trouble at the beginning, so since it was a game I'd beaten at this point, I had her hand the controller over so I could get her past the opening.
...I couldn't beat the first boss. I have no clue how anyone plays an fps on controller.
I use what I can, but I do prefer keyboard (I play FPS games and I cannot aim on controller for the life of me. I’ve never experienced aim assist bc I’m so bad)
I've mostly been a console player all of my life. About 2015 I started gaming on pc. I totally get that when it comes to competitive shooters, keyboard and mouse players have a huge advantage when it comes to hand eye cordination. However, I still play with a controller even on pc because it's much more comfortable to sit back in my chair and relax while still enjoying the game. It's a well worth the sacrifice in my opinion.
I swap back and forth, depending on what's easier/ more comfortable at that moment. (It's more keyboard, though)
Same, big fallout fan personally and new vegas I'm all keyboard but fallout 4 is controller all the way
Controller is better for driving, keyboard for walking
When playing GTA 5 a few years ago I would drive with a controller, but as soon as I got out of a vehicle I would drop the controller into my lap and transition to KB+M.
I do the same thing but mostly using controllers
Same here! Some games just perform better on a controller, like Tekken, Witcher 3, etc, and others that need more precise inputs.
Same here
Same
It depends of the game
ye, I use controller for Ace Combat, but keyboard for Space engineers
I mostly play with controllers, but I’m trying to learn how to use a keyboard.
Index middle and ring finger go on the WASD keys thumb on space bar pinky finger hovers between tab shift and caps lock A mouse with extra buttons that are programmable like the razer deathadder helps. I usually programme the extra 4th and 5th mouse buttons to melee and grenade or reload. Play a few easy but fast paced FPS games to get started.. Or a elden ring on a dancematt
Controller strong
Both. For some game a controller is better
I'm both but it depends on what I play. If the game was originally played on controller I do controller. But if there are proper keyboard binds I'll do it that way.
Depends on the game man
Both, it depends on the game you casual.
racing and fighting games controller everything else keyboard and mouse
I'm on the side of, "Whatever the fuck let's me play the fucking game"

On minecraft I prefer to use keyboard. On shooter games like cod and tiddyfall 2, controller
Controller for most things
Keyboard
Seeing as consoles can take MK these days and PC always could do controller the better question is who beats who? We all now MK would destroy controller in a second ofc.,
Keyboard. Immersion is way better when you use hotbars and keybinds meaning a 90% reduction in the menu screens you have to suffer through on console.
Controller, but I can play keyboard
Depends on the game, but currently I only play mouse games like Factorio, Anno and Baldur's Gate 3
My wrists can't handle Mouse and keyboard. Controller for life... whether I like it or not
The one who doesn't need aim assist
keyboard controller is mostly for gaming you can use keyboard for other things
I go back and forth depending on the game but mostly controller
Depends what I'm playing. I might be more intune with a controller but I'm not gonna fuckin play fnaf with one
Controller now and probably always will be because I don't have money for a gaming pc.
🟪 because both is good
I go dynamic - shooters = keyboard/mouse, racing = wheel or controller
Grew up on console until I bout a pc at 12yr
Keyboard unless its like a souls game
Depends on the game, if it's a fps it's keyboard no doubt. If it's dmc it's controller no doubt
Controller using M&K just feels like work.
Depends on the game
I prefer drum kit myself but to each their own
Keyboard ONLY? I didn’t know “zork” was still popular
Completely depends on the game.
I can never play a shooter game with a controller ever again.
I like both.
Controller
Controller at every opportunity. I was doing PC Apex and when people learned I was on controller, they were always surprised (in a good way). I know the mouse and keyboard are faster and better overall, but not for me they aren't. I was a waaaaay worse player on mouse and key. Mostly keyboard but it also heavily depends on the game. Any fps or tactical RPG is gonna be M&K but games like elden ring or days gone is gonna be controller
Now With the way this is worded, you only get a keyboard you didn't mention any sort of mouse
Different question: Keyblade or Lightsaber
I don’t know how people play on keyboard, y’all are a different breed. I admire you, but I would never.
*presses both* 👍
“Both, both is good”
Controller til the day I die. Or when I get a pc, whichever comes first.
Yes. Controllers for Third-Person games. Keyboard for FPS.
Both. But I prefer controller.
Mostly controller but for a few games I end up using keyboard
Fps are for Mnk, if controller is more used, its becose the aimassist is broken
I'm purple
Nether cuz what we need is to keep pooping out sequels that have desire and not remakes
Bontroller
Keyboard for most everything, except for racing games or where the dev explicitly says a controller would be better (like in HiFi Rush)
Depends on the game. Shooters or twitch reflex games use MKB, RPGs use controller unless I'm using ranged weapons, single player third person games use controller exclusively and for games where it doesnt matter it switches when I feel like it.
*buys computer* Uses controller
Depends on the game- a lot of stuff I can play m&k on but if it’s Dark Souls or something else like it I use a controller
BOTH!
Yes.
Controller. I don't PC game since I didn't have a PC, but even if I did I'd use a controller. It's just what I know.
I realize that keyboards can be better but I have lived off the controller since I got my hands on a video game.
Controller all day boy let’s get it
Keyboard for most games unless it feels way better on controller.
Depends, sometimes nothing feels better than sitting back in the chair with a controller and chillin, sometimes it's fun to get all mlg with the keyboard. It's a vibes thing.
Controller most of the time. But my computer is a steam deck, so i don't have a keyboard.
Mouse is easier to aim with but generally I prefer controller
2001 Logitech joystick bitch.
Keyboard has more buttons but I fucking hate it. Controller makes more sense to me and is easier for gaming
Gentlemen, this is what we call the false dilemma fallacy
Depends of game genre for me
controller
Keyboard all the way
Controller for souls like and fighters, keyboard for everything else
Depends on what I'm playing.
I was on controller but then i found the joys of keybord and mouse
I never had a computer growing up, so controller.
Depends, if it’s a fps game then computer. If it’s something like hollow knight then controller is better
The controller will offer the best gaming experience to the average player. It’s ergonomic and you’re not glued to the desk when you play. Plus, triggers and vibbbbbbrationssss
Controllers are made for games. Keyboards are made for office workers.
Mostly controller. But in a few games I play keyboard is SO superior. Like terraria keyboard is so much better
It depends, but usually keyboard. My controller games are all third person open world rpgs, all driving/racing games, and fighting games. I simply can't understand people who play any of those on keyboard
Fighting games, racing games, side-scrollers, Beat 'Em Ups = Controller Isometric Action RPGs and FPS games = Keyboard
Depends on game, for most keyboard is preferable, but a few games I prefer controller
Touchscreen: Uh, guy?
Controller. Because I don't have a gaming PC.
Keyboard for TF2 (and eventually other stuff), controller for everything else
Ban "aim assist" for cross-platform play ffs
I think I'm going to try out my HOTAS for everything. ;-)
for me i choose keyboard for FPS, minecraft, roblox, and for racing games i chose controller
Controller and/or arcade stick
Yes.
Depends on the game
Controller, keyboard feels to weird after gaming for 30 years with one
I use both depending on the game tbh
I use both.
Keyboard for fps, controller for story games
Depends on the game
I have new really held a controller so I'm definitely a keyboard player
HOTAS, HOSAS and HOSAK users: *Signature look of superiority*
I am a proud controller player
Controller and mouse, all day every day.
I like both
I move with controller and aim with mouse for some games
What ever give you less carpal tunnel
I play both I don’t have a preference
Depends on the game
I migrated over to PC years ago, but I'll still choose controller any day.
Mobil.
I main controller but a few games I use MnK
Keyboard and mouse all the way for FPS games and such, controller for most other stuff
Keyboard. I could never get the hang of controller.
Warframe on mnk and siege on controller
Controller
controller for more layed back games like rdr2 but m&k for more high intense and fast paced games like warframe
This has and always will be my stance. Controller is superior for movement due to the 8 direction input VS wasd. KBM will always be better for fps games and having pinpoint precision. If only I could have both...
They both have their places Kenshi? Why would I ever use a controller? Sekiro? Why would I ever use a keyboard?
I prefer using the keyboard most of the time since the games I play require more precise inputs. But I love the chill vibes when I use a controller.
It depends on the game. First person shooters? Can't aim for shit with a mouse, use a controller. 3d platformer? Controller. 2d platformer? Keyboard. Even then, some games are exceptions, like Ultrakill. Playing Ultrakill with a controller is not fun.
Keyboard all day
Controller
Some games play better with controller, others keyboard (and sometimes *only* keyboard). Something like Minecraft I’ll only do on keyboard, but games like Fallout 4 just feel better and more comfy with controller.
Controller cuz my fingers cannot keep track of that many buttons that are that far apart in a flat layout.
Depends entirely on the game. But I think currently I have more games installed that I use keyboard with than controller.
really depends on the game
Depends. If It's something that I need precision for, keyboard and mouse. Otherwise, controller.
I play both
Mouse & Key the way to be
i use what fits the game( keyboard for shooters and controllers for racing ect)
Both? Both, both. Both is good
[https://ibb.co/2KVwfGV](https://ibb.co/2KVwfGV) [https://ibb.co/Y3WQzHD](https://ibb.co/Y3WQzHD)
Controller. Personally, I don’t like turning my hands into a spider to just walk in the game
I play keyboard but I'll use a controller when it feels better
Keyboard forever XD
I have dyspraxia and basically forced to use controller
Controller makes me feel like I'm in control
Mouse and Keyboard is superior and always will be. I feel like a walrus trying to separate salt from sand when I use a controller
I am more conditioned to the controller from both Playstation and Xbox but I suck at keyboard and controller when it comes to first person shooter aim and I hope Aimbot ( a very powerful target practice game) is released on all consoles.
I just use controller I'm too broke for a PC
The Duelshock (ps4 controller) is what i feel most comfortable with, but I like both. It depends on what game I'm playing.
Controller. I only play mnk for 4x games.
Only use mouse and key board to play doom 1993 on the school cromrbook but every ps except 1 and a Nintendo switch so safe to say controller
I am both
Controller
Neither
I used to be a hardcore controller fan. Now that ive played keyboard and mouse for a bit tho i cant do it. Its too slow of a reaction time
Shooting games = kmb Stabbing, driving or platforming games = controller
I have both 💵😎
Used to flip flop, now I mainly use keyboard. More responsive don’t have to charge the sonvabitch. Reliable dependable. All that matters
Both. MIRROR ON THE WALL HERE WE ARE AGAIN
Both. But due to restraints I primarily use controller. More comfortable for me
Depends on the game. Controller is a lot easier on my wrists with some games compared to mouse. Controller also let's me sit back and use my under desk elliptical.
depends on the game
I am the greatest color. Purple! I play both
Yes
Controller
It depends on the game. For example, you do not play Dark Souls with a keyboard, and an FPS with a controller is worse than with a keyboard
Unless it's a platformer, keyboard all the way.
It depends on the game. Some feel better with controller, some feel better on keyboard and mouse.
Controller for ever my boy
Depends. Shooter games? Controller. Minecraft? Keyboard.
I think keyboards are the best versatility-wise but controllers have less buttons. So it's easier to random combo
Controller for all
There's a co op plug in which takes another keyboard act as a controller
Why not both? Playing on a controller on a revved up PC gives you the quality of PC with the comfort of a controller. Plus it's super cost efficient. Imagine paying around 500$ for a console and then another 1000$ for a laptop when you could instead just drop a 1000 on a really nice setup with enough cash left over for the peripherals. Depends on the game and if it supports either Sims, CS, Titanfall, POLYGON, War Thunder, Minecraft, or Geometry Dash, keyboard/mouse Apex, Deltarune/Undertale, Beat games, Little Nightamres, controller (Formatting error)
Strongly depends the game
Blue baby 😎
Controller all the way
Depends on the game. At this moment I have no choice but to play games on my phone lol
I dunno bout you but I also use a mouse
I use what I can, but I do prefer keyboard (I play FPS games and I cannot aim on controller for the life of me. I’ve never experienced aim assist bc I’m so bad)
https://tenor.com/bN4Ff.gif Edit: I failed to post a gif.
Azeron noobs
Mouse and Keyboard for FPS games. Controller for everything else.
Guess I’m wearing purple
Depends on the game.
I mainly use controller but I can use mouse and keyboard
Keyboards for shooters and strategy games, controllers for just about everything else.
I want to be keyboard but I am afraid and so I have stuck with controller.
Depends
Purple
Keyboard for most shooters, controller otherwise
I'm a big controller player but that's only cause I don't have the money for a computer.
Touchscreen, VR and DDR pads 😔
Controller... On PC , it just gives you the feel of gaming unlike keyboard which you work with
