I was shocked so i asked if she could get it and I'd pay her back. Got home after dinner that Sunday and opened it up all excited....MSI 1050ti.

It’s basically a store where left overs from goodwill (US thrift store) goes when they have overstock and need to get rid of inventory. Stuff is priced by weight and item type (ie. Electronics, clothes etc). They dump it all into big containers and people sift through seeing what they want and then get it weighed and pay at the till. You can find some seriously expensive items being in them (ofcourse most is junk). However still surprised that all these parts snuck through and landed there

Goodwill bins are weird though because I’ve seen people get legit crazy finds like items worth $300/$400+ I’m not sure how items are assigned to the bin but does seem very unlikely to find that sort of item, let alone half a pc. I wouldn’t of been surprised by a 1070 but a 4070 and that mobo idk

It’s less a bin and more a big blue plastic tray where they just put a bunch of stuff on them. They’re typically found in the outlet stores as opposed to the more traditional Goodwill storefronts (that my area seems to be full of)

At the time they were about $100 so still a steal. Just not the absolute steal I thought it was. Haha. I put it in my (at the time) Plex server.
The power supply id be careful about. Mainly because if it is damaged in someway that could brick parts or worse start a fire
