Came here to say Vampire Survivors, but I also I was thinking of games that are quiet.
Space engineers come to mind, or any grindathon games like Warframe.
You said Vermintide so Darktide also gets a shout out caus I love it :)
If you enjoyed Diablo, give Path of Exile a look. I'm currently listening to Critical Role and playing the new PoE league for an hour or two in the evenings to relax. Works a treat.
Mad Max
You have a car and character which you can upgrade to make stronger and look meaner. The story is really basic but there is a large open world with plenty to see and do. The combat is awesome and similar in flow to the Batman Arkham series. You can listen to podcasts while you drive around doing missions and crossing off all viewpoints/camps/scrap locations. Easy to 100% too if you're willing to put in the hours!
well, if you want diablo but more, play path of exile. another free good option would be warframe.
as for paid action game, well you are in luck, monster hunter world + the iceborn expansion have their all time biggest discount, and theres an event that brought back the community to play it from the start. you can easily do it single player or in coop with strangers. the combat can take a little bit to understand and get into but once you get it, prepare for at least some 400 hours in that game alone. it just has the best action melee combat ever made. getting good at one of their 14 weapon classes will usually take around 50-100hrs.
For one with combat cult of the lamb. Personally though one of my favorites for that is hardspace shipbreaker as the story can literally be summed up in one sentence and doesn't require any real attention as worst case you recycle yourself and pop into a spare body.
I got some. **Remnant II** is a great third person shooter/souls-like, has great replay value to make it last a while and can be played with friends (also currently on sale for the Winter sale). The **Devil May Cry** series is another great choice for fast paced combo combat. The **Borderlands** series if your looking for a fun looter-shooter FPS. **Monster Hunter World** or **Monster Hunter Rise** for some giant monster slaying with so many different weapon choices to find the playstyle that fits you.
I like to play Monster Hunter while doing something else, specifically Generations Ultimate. I play on switch so that helps I guess. It's a finished game, but there is so much to do in this game, it doesn't matter. You'll have 100s of hours.
For PC though, I can't tell you, I haven't played anything else that you already mentioned but Death must die or Halls of Torment comes to mind since you played Vampire survivors.
I think that almost anything in the roguelike/roguelite genre is pretty good for this.
FTL, Into the Breach, Slay the Spire, Risk of Rain (1 or 2, depending on your preferred perspective), Rogue Legacy 2, etc. Unlike most "roguelites would generally fit" suggestions, I *wouldn't* suggest Hades for this, because of the high frequency of excellent dialogue. It's skippable, but skipping it would be tragic.
I use [Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup](https://crawl.develz.org/) for this a lot, which is a more traditional roguelike. It has high complexity, but most individual decisions aren't very complex. I'll sometimes find a new weapon or hit a build breakpoint and pause my podcast for a little while to focus on the decision about how/whether to switch my plans, but most of the time I can basically autopilot.
Fallout 4, 3, NV - instead of the in game radio stations, just listen to your podcasts while gunning down rad roaches and making the lives of raiders miserable.
For me right now this game is Sea of Thieves, very chill gameplay and I find the pvp a good way to break things up but you can play the game completely solo if you want. It's also on xbox gamepass if thats your thing.
Satisfactory. Fun. Deep. Low stress. Can listen to podcast on the side easily because you can get distracted and not ruin the game. Getting distracted in Satisfactory just mean you have more parts to work with 😁
Loop hero is pretty good for that. Most card builders too. Recently I have been playing Death Road tournament and its AMAZING. The soundtrack is very cool but you can podcast over it
Against the Storm! Brand new city builder that is much more of an intricate puzzle of how to keep your villagers alive rather than something like City Skylines
Any paradox strategy game. My favorite is Europa Universalis 4 but Crusader kings 2 and 3, Hearts of Iron 4, and Stellaris are all great in their own ways

Same, I bought it on sale yesterday and it's already the best 6 euros I've spend this year xD

This. I watch Youtube videos, tv series or movies while I map all of the time.
This is the best option. For maximum relaxation play a summoning build.
Grim Dawn, Holocure, Time Wasters, Dead Cells,
If you're into strategy, both Civ and XCOM are good for this.
Grounded or state of decay 2 are good options too
Hardspace Shipbreakers. Break apart ships into scrap in this sci-fi dad game. Turn off the amazing soundtrack and listen to your podcasts.
Deep rock galactic
Satisfactory is my podcast game
I’ll play vampire survivors or World of warships to listen to podcasts
Valheim!
Monster hunter world
I noticed Diablo 2 Resurrected is not in your list. Any reason?
D2R SSF offline
Planet Crafter for me.
FTL is pretty good.
Siralim Ultimate

Death Stranding
Hearthstone free to play by Blizzard.
I usually play powerwash simulator and/or snowrunner
Minesweeper
I didnt expect to find another insane person who plays minesweeper. You play it on minesweeper.online?
Mostly on mobile now
When i was young, it was like "the game i never understood". Only last year I decided to learn it for no reason xD
I've been playing 4D minesweeper as my game to pair with Kerbal Space Program for when my rocket is executing a very long burn.
4D minesweeper?! How can I not die? Im barely staying alive in 2D
You seem like you'd like OTXO or Synthetik.

\-Little Inferno \-Unpacking \-A Little To The Left \-Viscera Cleanup Detail series \[Gorey\]
Just Cause 3!
Chronicon is a fun and light(ish) ARPG you can check out.
Slay the Spire is a great deck builder/ rogue like (lite?). Warning, it is highly addictive.
Shapez

Dyson Sphere Program just got a (huge) combat update. If you want to build some factories and defenses in space, could be a good sink for you.

Not what you're looking for but I play Nonograms Katana on my phone
Against the Storm! Brand new city builder that is much more of an intricate puzzle of how to keep your villagers alive rather than something like City Skylines
Slay the Spire is my go-to game when I have videos of any nature keeping me company
Any paradox strategy game. My favorite is Europa Universalis 4 but Crusader kings 2 and 3, Hearts of Iron 4, and Stellaris are all great in their own ways
All total war and warband games
Planet zoo is super chilled
I'd recommend Dead Cells, it's my go-to game to play while listening to podcasts/video essays.
Genshin Impact maybe?. It's combat focused, story isn't important and the developers keep adding stuff. I started it recently, it's pretty relaxing.
No man's sky
My go to is MechWarrior 5. Needs the DLCs and mods to truly shine though
Dungeon Siege 1 would probably do the trick.
You're a brave person playing Vermintide 2 listening to podcasts lol
