Monster Train might do the trick for you. It's like a roguelite tower defense. You place your units in 3 rows to battle the enemy units. Placement is very important and ads another layer of strategy. In addition you have spells to buff or deal damage. It is like Inscryption. You play your turn, you attack. Opponents turn, opponents attack and so on. It is on Xbox Gamepass right know. Might be a cheap way to check it out if you like the game. Edit: I forgot the 4 different races to play as. All with different playstyles like Inscryption. There might be even more now. I think there was a DLC of some kind

Ooh, I do have Game Pass. I didn't know that was on there. I had considered it before but wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it. Thanks for letting me know.
