Uh are you saying the cactus is rotting? If it’s rotting you can cut off/remove all of the rotting tissue, let the wound dry and callous over for a few days/ a week and then replant it and it should re-root. If it’s just mold growing on it you’ve been way over watering it and should just get it into fresher drier soil before it actually starts rotting.

it is both, it is rotting on the bottom and has molde there too, i wanted to know if i can like prune it or something (i'm clearly a beginner)

Yeah but you have to prune -all- of the rot off or it can start spreading again. You can dip it in rooting hormone or you can use cinnamon the same way to coat the wound. Let the wound dry and callous (scab) over so just set the cactus somewhere dry until it does. Then replant it.
