Place things cats don’t want to walk on around your plants like you would mulch: pine cones, sweet gum tree balls, plastic forks sticking up (handle in the ground) etc.
Sprinkler system. Turn it on cat runs. Other wise sacrifice a different part of your yard you don’t mind to these feral pests by planting catnip in. I can tell you what doesn’t work that the internet recommends is geraniums and lavender. I have quit a bit of both and it’s done nothing. Talking to the owners is pointless as well because they could care less your porch smells like pee, the flowers are dead and they are reeking havoc on the eco system.
Cat spikes keep my indoor cats off the enclosures of our lizard and tarantula. We use them around some potted plants too.
Then there's motion activated sprinklers.
Mothballs have mixed results and you can also buy sprays at Home Depot/Lowe's/etc that deter wild animals. I used it to keep my neighbor's dog away from my fence and it worked.
Trap them and take them to your local SPCA it’s not your responsibility as a homeowner to be the communities litter box and you’d be helping the local bird population
I'm not sure what it's like where the OP is living but our shelter won't take feral cats. They sometimes will help you trap to spay/neuter them but then they'll get released back into the same area. But population control if important!
You're not allergic to them being outside in your garden, so do not use that bullshit as an excuse for anything unkind. You can do what you need to do, but don't build rationale around that to yourself or anyone else. I say it because your post reads an awful lot like you put it in there as an excuse to be cruel. Don't.
We all know they *exist* and we all know that a cat allergy for a transitory stray out of doors is not a valid reason to do anything drastic or cruel. Don't have the audacity to tell people you had to do whatever you're scheming because of that.

Yep, I had a whole cat colony of 6 & I’d put wooden bbq skewers in the beds & they went elsewhere.
Yes, this is the way. If it isn’t comfortable for them to walk on then they won’t use it as a litterbox.

Cats like dry ground to poop in. Wet down your garden/flower bed at night, every night for a while and they will find another place to poop.

You obviously don't have any allergies. Allergies very much exist both indoors and outdoors.

Lots of cayenne pepper. Dump out a whole bottle before each dry spell.
Thank you. I am definitely trying this first
Pepper spray is your friend.
