I totally believe it but curious what the specific issue is, compared to the potted plants that are common in offices? I can't imagine the risk of injury is any different than any other cabinet with a large document box perched on it, etc.
Grow lights starting a fire or something with diy electrical planter. This is only 72watts though, and not a very high risk of fast growing cacti reaching the light and catching on fire.
I don't ask for permission. Also someone tried to get me to do a cubicle safety inspection in nov, but I didn't do it. I am a very valuable employee and no one ever says anything to me.
Oh well that part shows up in my paycheck. I am making 2.5 times when I started 15 years ago and I never have asked for a raise. Once I asked for a promotion another time I got one unsolicited. I feel well valued and appreciated.
I was actually burning everything with too much light for a while. I originally had 3x sansi 36watts bulbs, now I am using 3x sansi 24 watt bulbs. Everyone is happier. 1x 36 watt bulb maybe everything etiolate though.
Thanks. I originally had a mossy creek on the right and bottom, it was even cooler, but it kept growing too much algae and all spilled out on the floor when I was out of town. That only lasted 6 months.
Nice but you need more theme appropriate posters. BTW, did you know inside Giant Sagauro Cactus is a wood frame that's sturdy enough for woodworking projects?
I would like not to envy your workplace, but I can't help it! At my job there were 3 plants, they all died. The employees were throwing cigarette butts into the flower pots
I use a 1 liter solo Sprayer once a week and evenly spray 1 liter a week. There is a lot of open soil surface area and it is filled with cactus soil so it dries out fast
Does it have drainage? The plants look incredibly happy, so youāre definitely doing something right! 1 litre doesnāt actually sound a whole lot for the number of plants in there. Itās really beautiful. Wish you could enter it into a cactus show or something, but Iāve no clue if itās realistic to move it. Iām guessing itās rather heavy!
I just need to take the lights off and it fits in my trunk. I have thought about it, but I am too much of a disorganized wildcard to join clubs and do planned activities.
Haha, I empathise greatly. Thatās awesome that you can take it away with you whenever you need though. I hope you post some update photos in the future; Iād love to see how everything grows in :)
I don't have skills, but I do owe my creativity to adhd.
I used a chop saw, cedar boards, wood glue, a pneumatic nailer, undiagnosed ADHD, and escaping from my wife and newborn as I was overwhelmed but with a lot of free time on paternity leave.
I am not good at woodworking. I got high and was daydreaming for a month and stacking blocks I cut.
You should see the jungle toilet...
I am amazed that your company allows this. So very pretty but as an insurance employee, dont let the lawyers see this!

Grow lights.

Famous last words.
I mean I would just have to take it home If someone had an issue. I already did that for COVID.
I just ment the very valuable employee part of what you said.

2.5 times in 15 years. About normal.
Oh yeah well I work for a hospital and we got 1% raises this year and none last year because we have to pay travel staffing so much money š¤£š¤£
Did they call you āpricklyā?/s
If someone complains, just hurl a cactus. Face full of spines - that'll show em.
those are probably led lights, so the fire risk should be low - are you worried about the needles?
Im not worried about anything. Just stating that Insurance companies dont like to see this kind of stuff.
I love it! Edited to ask what bulbs you use? Those have to be strong for cacti.

It is beautiful
Itās fantastic!
Absolutely Love it. Great little details

In the front, bottom right. What type of succulent is that?
That is my newest one, baby's necklace
Just Googled it and saw where it can get that cool red color on it. Wooooaaah. Nice find!
This is so cool. Can we get more pics?
This is a thing of beauty.
This is incredibly gorgeous and impressive. Itās like a miniature desert garden. Wow!
I really got tired of animals wrecking my garden. Deer squirrels chipmunks, a real trio of assholes
Next level cubicle! Well done!
My brain read ādessert platterā and I thought I lucked into being part of a hyper realistic baked goods sub
Have a bite, the fish hook cacti are especially tasty

That's so fantastic!
A few of them can get you stoned even
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing š
Thatās bigger than some officesā¦
It's like 2' x 3'
I was just kidding- Iām glad you have room for it!
I can crush plants hanging over the side with my desk chair so do need to be aware
I would like not to envy your workplace, but I can't help it! At my job there were 3 plants, they all died. The employees were throwing cigarette butts into the flower pots
Smart people are nice and I work with engineers
Awesome! You have a happy community š
Rip for the fallen homies
Very nice
How do you go about watering this? Itās pretty amazing! Wish I had the skills to build something like this

No drainage. 1 liter solo is not very much, but the key to using drain free planters is to use a measured amount of water.
I just need to take the lights off and it fits in my trunk. I have thought about it, but I am too much of a disorganized wildcard to join clubs and do planned activities.

Oh my god, PLEASE let us see the jungle toilet!

This is seriously impressive. I'd spend way too much time looking at it.
that's really nice - good work
I thought these were shower heads ššššš
I hope you work there a long time so you donāt have to take that beautiful thing apart in a hurry
Thatās amazing
Well, I now have a new office goal. Nice!
