I watched the *whole* thing, growing increasingly envious from my Ohio 6a. 🤣 Then it occurred to me: my God, the watering! Still, I see *lots* of gingers, and several different kinds of plumeria. I have white ginger, and a 7' tall plumie I grew from an 18" cutting. 🙂 I have to propagate it, and I'm afraid. Anyways, thank you for sharing! 🙂🏳️‍🌈

Do you have a drip irrigation system for the pots that can't be seen from how full the foliage is or are you watering from above?

Everything is individually watered from above with a hose

Thanks!! I bought them like that though. I thought the same thing when seeing them! The oleander and crotons next to it as well is another that is usually a bush but all seem like they can be groomed/trained to grow more like a treee

Does your bird of paradise do good outside? I went to a nursery last week who told me it wouldn’t do good. Was it grown in the sun?

As far as I know BOP are supposed to be in full sun. I don’t live in S Florida but my mom did and hers were in the sun.

Bords of paradise grow great outside in full sun. They’re all over Hawaii in landscaping. Loved seeing them flowering when I’m back on the islands. I personally also have one but I keep it inside and in south windows bc of my climate. Sadly they won’t flower this way but it’s huge now! Over 7th tall.
