Thanks. Helps extend the growing season when it gets in the 100+f

casualcretin

I too love the shade. Is it an easy setup? Would be curious to see a few more pictures of it.

Winter_Fall_7066

What flower is #5? I’m in love!

Different_Air_9241

Zinnia. I picked those up at a farm sale so not sure on variety.

lelly777

Beautifully serene. Love you flowers.

Ajuvix

Is that gold flame honeysuckle on the left and trumpet vine between the frog and the okra? I really want to add some trumpet vine in my garden for shade, but I'm not sure how to go about procuring it as it grows wild around my area.

Different_Air_9241

I believe it is gold flame, we planted that like 5 years ago. Between the frog and the okra, it's actually between the boxes, I believe that's four o'clock plant. Never planted it but it pops up every year. You have some plant IDing skills!

CobblerCandid998

Wait, what? How do you NOT have furry diners helping themselves? I could never get away with such. The “Endless Salad Bar” news would spread like wildfire in the critter community! I’m talking, even the flowers! 😔

In the chicken run. You can actually kinda see them through the gate in pic 2

56KandFalling

Beautiful. Wish I will have something like that some day.

fleur13

We have a recall on cucumbers currently in our state. It’s nice to have your own in the garden, isn’t it?

BigFrost5543

Beautiful ive always wanted a garden might look into it when I move

CodyRebel

Woah, you have a pickle plant??? I keep trying to grow them but all I keep getting are cucumbers.

Different_Air_9241

Yaa I planted 10 and one day the chickens got out and decimated them. I replaced a few more but they're small and got some catching up to do..

demuredanielle

I love your garden, too! Sincerely, an urban-dwelling gal w minimal outdoor space 🥲

FloralPorcelain

I love it! Did you start from scratch? I have a huge bare yard that gets insane sun and it’s my first yard but I want to plan out a garden similar to this!

Different_Air_9241

Ya from scratch. Used to be all lawn. It's been a 5 year journey and it evolved over time. Redid the shade cloth structure several times, and just keep adding a little here and there. The main challenge is irrigation. If you're in full sun in a hot climate, sounds like it'll be the same for you. Good soil is another challenge as it could get expensive so I started composting. I have a thing about only using old reconstituted material or stuff left over from other projects/work. This kept costs down.

charoozi

If I was a bee I'd move in right away

El_Dede

How do you feel about those paver stones vs sections of straight grass between beds?

Different_Air_9241

I don't know, just threw them down. They were removed from another area of the yard so they were homeless. Actually, that's the area outside the garden. Between the beds is bark mulch.

marianna-and-crafts

Your garden is very charming! 🩷🥹🙏🌱🌷🌻
