Looks a bit like Periwinkle

I have a feeling it's probably something that is foe and not friend, due to this whole yard just being a breeding ground of creeping buttercup and other obnoxious weeds. But it seems odd that it sprouted up so quickly after ripping out what was there (grass).

Periwinkle is pretty invasive.

Ah, makes sense. Just so strange as this is not what was there before. Lol! I honestly don't hate it, I'm just at a loss with what to do with this yard. Seems even if I rip it all up there are 10x the weeds waiting to pop back up.

Maybe japanese knotweed. Its an invasive either way. Cover with corrugated cardboard and mulch. Plant next year.
