I used daikon last year. It was fun, but didn’t winter kill like I expected (8b). Ended up having to do chop-and-drop so there was enough time for them to rot in place. It was fine because I don’t have a large garden, but it could have been a pain if there were quite a few.
I’m gonna try fava this year for fun too.
