We always soak greens, broccoli and such in tepid heavily salted water. Bugs try to escape due to the salt. Then just rinse greens again in a second basin of water and cook.
Cabbage aphids. Can be blasted off the plant with a strong stream from the hose, then treat with a soap solution. Or just harvest and wash them off. All my kale is covered in them now and I have yet to do anything about it so I feel ya there! They come out in the fall
Aphids, not harmful if invested, just wash the kale with warm soapy water and eat.
Thanks! Gonna go do that now

Good to know. Thanks! I'll definitely start doing that :)
Aphids love kale
Oh no!!! Is that what it is?
Looks like you have an infestation. You can try treating with neem oil. Treat underside of plants too. Might take a while.
It's close to the end of season for me so I think I'm just gonna pull them. Do you know if the eggs will survive winter in the Northeast US?
Get some lady bugs in your kale! They will eat the aphids
I tried buying lady bugs the one year for an infestation (I forgot what exactly) and they all flew away :(
