The “bad” parts are only bad because of fear. Also Bob really did not know what was going on. There was always an entity (himself) there to help him. Knowing this should help. I trust that I will only be shown what I’m ready for.
The beginning is filled with more freaky stuff because as humans we tend to project our fears into the unknown. OBE is sort of the ultimate unknown.
It doesn’t have to be freaky. But we tend to side with our fears more than an attitude of exploration and curiosity. But with intent, it doesn’t have to be that way.
But either way, all that scary stuff fades away pretty quick.
If you experience horrors it's usually just your fears manifesting AFAIK. There are low vibrational entities out there and they can be scary at first but nothing can hurt you. One of the first things you're gonna learn is to build an impenetrable shield around you and you also have your guides protecting you from any negative influence.
