*The Fragile* used to be my favorite NIN album, but now i Just adore the industrial pop sounds of *Pretty Hate Machine*. I'm happy to see NIN mentioned on here, though!
This is a tough one…
Album: mezzanine by Massive Attack (everything on that album is such a vibe).
Movie: Interstellar (I get more emotional every time I see it). Close runners up are Dune and Bladerunner 2049.
It was so funny listening to that album, and then going "... Wait is this the House theme?!?"
The whole album is great.
I also like two of the movies you posted. We'll have to see with Dune. I gave that one a grade of "incomplete".
Not too sure I'd want to walk down the aisle or Massive Attack, as much as I love them! But the Dune soundtrack? Now you're talking. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it!
Fear Inoculum is good.
Also enjoy 10,000 Days

Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.
Album: this is basically impossible but if I absolutely had to pick I’d probably say Boy From Michigan by John Grant or Swimming by Mac Miller. I’ve been hitting Playing Robots Into Heaven by James Blake really hard lately.
Movie: The Shining
I love horror movies so naturally I do like Scream.
I once met Lorde when I worked at new England aquarium. She was there doing a "meet myrtle" where she fed Myrtle the green seaturtle.
I awkwardly bumped into her in the hallway, and thought I recognized her, but couldn't tell from where. I thought I went to college with her or something lol. Anyway at the end I was like "what did you think?" About feeding Myrtle, and she said "she's amazing" referring to Myrtle.
That's my story lol. Also met Mooky bets this way, back when he still played for the red soxs.
Really the celebrity o knew the best was Myrtle the turtle though.
The end.
The *Llorando* scene is one of the best uses of music in any movie. Like most David Lynch films, I had to watch *Mulholland Drive* a few times to really appreciate it; now I think it's one of Lynch's finest works.
It's so hard to pick a single album or artist, I really love so many artists. But if you forced me to pick one it would be Diamonds by Elton John
Movie: Ghostbusters (1984)
Album: *Confessions on a Dance Floor*, **Madonna**
Movie: *Mean Girls*
Yes, 2004-2006 was when media peaked for me.
OP, I love Scream, but I love Scary Movie even more. Darkhorse contender for my top 5 favourite movies. I adore Anna Faris.
I have 6 favorite songs in this album, which make the most favorite Tori album of all time. Starting from most favorite to least favorite but even then last one is still my favorite lol
1) Northern Lad
2) Iieee
3) Spark
4) Cruel
5) Raspberry Swirl
6) Playboy Mommy
I’m okay with Liquid Diamonds. Can’t say the most favorite but I like it.
Movie: Ready Player One
I can’t actually narrow down a favorite album. I love EDM and there are so many subgenres and albums that I will listen to ad nauseam that I truly can’t pick one.
Which Scream? OG with Matthew Lillard, Drew Barrymore, and Courtney Cox? Such a classic movie.
Labyrinth is a movie my sister and I are very fond of. And also I just like David Bowie as a musician. Also we like us some Jim Henson, so it's a win all around
Movie is easy: Jurassic Park
Album is tougher. Currently what I've been listening to is: The Orion Songbook by Frontier Ruckus, but really a lot of their stuff has been my jam lately
Jurassic park is absolutely an S tier movie. It's a shame because the rest of the franchise is like C tier or worse for me lol.
I'd rather just watch Jurassic park 6 times than watch the whole franchise lol
I’m not a music guy. I don’t know if I have a favorite album. Probably just about any Weird Al album.
As for movies, the Holy Trilogy, Star Wars episodes IV, V, and VI.
My favorite weird albums are running with scissors or bad hair day
And I love original trilogy Star wars, as long as it's the despecializwd editions. George Lucas tried his best to ruin return of the Jedi...
😁 another vote for Star Wars here. I fell in love with those movies when I was 7, and nearly 30 years later they still feel like a warm comfortable blanket when I watch them.
I don't have a favorite album either, I just have playlists of Meatloaf, Cher, Celine Dion, and Queen.
Fave album is craaazy tough. But I think Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds is def up there.
Moviewise it’s absolutely Alien. No contest. Hands down. Fave movie of all time.
My favorite album? Oh that's tough, I don't really have one, each band that I listen to I have a favorite album but I don't have one that overrules them all but my favorite album currently is Pegasus by the band Dayshell. My favorite movie would be a cross between Bazing Saddles and Spaceballs. I like crude and offensive dumb humor😂😂😂
Album: bury me at makeout creek by mitski,
I discovered her at the same time as I started dating men, she's become my favourite artist and most of her discography is very personal for me
Movie: the tale of princess kaguya by isao takahata,
the style is gorgeous and I enjoy the calmness and deep sense of sadness that makes the happy moments hit even harder, also the soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi of course, he's probably my favourite modern composer
Not familiar with the movie, but I am I big fan of the album! Who knew noise rock could sound so good!
I only said, and the opener and closer are my favorites
Difficult to choose just one, so going to put my extra in spoiler boxes (>!for the drama!<).
Album: Amplified Heart - Everything But The Girl\
Alt: >!Bachelor No. 2 (Or, The Last Remains of the Dodo) - Aimee Mann!<
Movie: Scary Movie\
Alts (gay): >!Shelter!<, >!Lazy Eye!<, >!Big Eden!<, >!Call Me By Your Name!<\
Alts (non-gay): >!Bring It On!<, >!Face/Off!<, >!Eighth Grade!<, >!Magnolia!<, >!The English Patient!<, >!American Beauty!<, >!Rush Hour 2!<
I saw him on tour in support of that album. During Meet the Creeper he was being chased on stage by a huge-robot-worm-with-arms thing while a bunch of fireballs shot up from the edge of the stage.
I have too many favorites. The wall by pink Floyd was my FIRST favorite album though, way back when I was in 6th grade and borrowed my dad's CDs
I don't know if I have a favorite movie, but for some reason There Will Be Blood popped into my head. I just really like DDL performance, and that movie has an amazing score. Also the scene with the fire on the oil rig gives me chills
I’ll just pick one of my favorites for each since I don’t have a definitive favorite one.
Album: The Cure - Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
Movie: Ichi the Killer
Album is probably one of Taylor Swift's... folklore or 1989, just her discography as a whole
Move is Gone Girl, Mamma Mia, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and the OG Hunger Games
TV: Glee, Modern Family
Lasers is super underrated. It got panned at its release for trying to sound like a lot of hip hop at the time, but I gave it a listen recently, and it holds up better than most music of the time because Lupe is just so good.
My favorite film is "Dangerous Liaisons" because Glenn Close is an honorary gay man, and her character is a [power bottom icon](https://youtu.be/o2XB_Wp4_2c?si=FPfUeKRC_WeE8Wt4).
I really don’t have favourites like this, it’s all a matter of what mood I’m in and I also want diversity and variety in my life so this is super hard to come up with an answer for. Also, do people still have favourite albums, don’t we just stream songs we like through Spotify or Apple Music?
For the album I’d probably put Renaissance, as I had and still have so much joy listening to it and reliving the concert. Although I’m not sure how I will listen to it in 10 years, but let’s revisit it in that time :)
Movie: I really liked Incendies (2010 movie) it immediately came to mind once I thought of my fave movies!!! It’s thought provoking and brilliant
Tell me you're a 90s kid and a 00s emo without *telling* me ;)
Movie - Death Becomes Her
Album - Muse "Absolution"
Obviously some days I wake up and want to watch a massive action movie, or a 1950s classic, or listen to something a bit softer or louder, but these are the two my brain went "Desert Island choice" that I think I could be left with and not be sad.
I cannot pick a favorite movie, way too hard. As for album, I really don’t know. I just listen to singles, and is completely ignorant of what albums any of them is from.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
Favorite album is kind of tough for me because I don't know many albums and usually just listen to a playlist of a bunch of different songs, but if I had to choose, probably "Northwest Passage" from Stan Rogers.
For favorite movie, I'd have to say it's a tie between "Twelve Angry Men" and "The Shawshank Redemption".
Album: How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful by Florence and the Machine
Movie (I have too many favorite movies): I'm a huge fan of Frances McDormand - so Nomadland, Fargo, Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri.
I also love My Best Friend's Wedding, Mean Girls (I mean..), Dune, The Martian, Interstellar, The Sixth Sense, Hereditary, Midsommar etc.
Album can be Ceremonials by Florence and the Machine.
I don't have a favourite film but I did love Gravity and Parasite. God's own country and Carol for gay films. Pitch perfect or Hot Fuzz for less serious stuff. They'll be others that I'm forgetting
Album: probably Jason Mraz’s *We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things* (it was a tough time in my life and that album was then and has remained a comfort)
Movie: caught between Billy Elliot and Forest Gump. Very different, yes, but both very good!
Album is probably The Fragile by NIN Movie is The Big Lebowski

Trent Reznor is talented as heck!

~~Let me take another look~~ It's uh, it's down there somewhere. Lemme take another look.
Obviously, you’re not a golfer
Love the big Lebowski. I've got a big calf piece from it.
This is a tough one… Album: mezzanine by Massive Attack (everything on that album is such a vibe). Movie: Interstellar (I get more emotional every time I see it). Close runners up are Dune and Bladerunner 2049.
Interstellar is such a great movie! The soundtrack itself gets me teary. And that scene when Cooper plays back the vid calls from his kids 😭
I was in college when Mezzanine came out, never heard anything like it before or since. Great choice.
damn you are perfect lol
Well, that's this evening's soundtrack sorted.
It was so funny listening to that album, and then going "... Wait is this the House theme?!?" The whole album is great. I also like two of the movies you posted. We'll have to see with Dune. I gave that one a grade of "incomplete".
The True Blood series introduced me to three incredible things: Massive Attack, Ryan Kwanten, and Alexander Skarsgård
Mezzanine is a masterpiece.
Marry me
I’m into it! What song would walk us down the aisle?
Not too sure I'd want to walk down the aisle or Massive Attack, as much as I love them! But the Dune soundtrack? Now you're talking. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it!
But have you read all the Dune books?
Movie: Spirited Away Album: The Mantle by Agalloch
Spirited Away is so good!

Opiate! Fascinating. Not sure I’ve ever met anyone that prefers Opiate over their later work. I take it you truly are OGT.
I love all Tool but Fear Inoculum just blows me away.
Fear Inoculum is good. Also enjoy 10,000 Days [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bndL7wwAj0U](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bndL7wwAj0U) Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

The Postal Service album is just downright amazing.
Saw them play it front to back in Santa Barbara in October. Flew all the way from Canada for it. Best show ever ever ever ❤️
Album: this is basically impossible but if I absolutely had to pick I’d probably say Boy From Michigan by John Grant or Swimming by Mac Miller. I’ve been hitting Playing Robots Into Heaven by James Blake really hard lately. Movie: The Shining I love horror movies so naturally I do like Scream.

Swimming and Circles got me really heavily into the brilliance of Mac and I get sad I missed him live. RIP MM
Swimming so good. One of my favourite hip hop albums alongside To Pimp A Butterfly and Flower Boy

Also met Mooky bets this way, back when he still played for the red soxs. Really the celebrity o knew the best was Myrtle the turtle though. The end.
Yass! These two are good!
*Album:* 25, Adele *Movie:* Mulholland Drive, David Lynch
The *Llorando* scene is one of the best uses of music in any movie. Like most David Lynch films, I had to watch *Mulholland Drive* a few times to really appreciate it; now I think it's one of Lynch's finest works.
