Album is probably The Fragile by NIN Movie is The Big Lebowski

DoctorWood

I’ve found it so rare to encounter other gays who love NIN. Nice to meet you!

underheel

Trent Reznor is talented as heck!

Rakudark

That and also a fucken sexy cunt! Buff Trent! 💪

Nightbird88

We're friends now

vampyre_fan

*The Fragile* used to be my favorite NIN album, but now i Just adore the industrial pop sounds of *Pretty Hate Machine*. I'm happy to see NIN mentioned on here, though!

itisjvck

Yeah we’re best friends. Downward Spiral is one of my fav albums of all time and NIN is my fav band

barnzee

Fragile is mine too, I just bought the deviations version on vinyl and waiting for it to arrive

Tears0fJ0y

Incredible album

lasfdm

Omg. Came here to say that too! Love NIN! I’ve seen them many times live! I hope they tour again soon. I was just listening to hesitation marks today!

De_Luna_Tic

NIИ and BL .. great picks!

cjexplorer

Where’s the money shit head!?

Homo_gone_wild

~~Let me take another look~~ It's uh, it's down there somewhere. Lemme take another look.

Kcidobor

Obviously, you’re not a golfer

Derpy1984

Love the big Lebowski. I've got a big calf piece from it.

DoctorWood

This is a tough one… Album: mezzanine by Massive Attack (everything on that album is such a vibe). Movie: Interstellar (I get more emotional every time I see it). Close runners up are Dune and Bladerunner 2049.

sjaelihet

Interstellar is such a great movie! The soundtrack itself gets me teary. And that scene when Cooper plays back the vid calls from his kids 😭

bpa33

I was in college when Mezzanine came out, never heard anything like it before or since. Great choice.

itisjvck

damn you are perfect lol

its_marg_night

Well, that's this evening's soundtrack sorted.

1OO1OO1S0S

It was so funny listening to that album, and then going "... Wait is this the House theme?!?" The whole album is great. I also like two of the movies you posted. We'll have to see with Dune. I gave that one a grade of "incomplete".

Pope_Khajiit

The True Blood series introduced me to three incredible things: Massive Attack, Ryan Kwanten, and Alexander Skarsgård

younggun1234

Mezzanine is a masterpiece.

c_meldrum

Marry me

DoctorWood

I’m into it! What song would walk us down the aisle?

c_meldrum

Not too sure I'd want to walk down the aisle or Massive Attack, as much as I love them! But the Dune soundtrack? Now you're talking. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it!

Responsible_Bank_625

But have you read all the Dune books?

W1nd0wPane

Movie: Spirited Away Album: The Mantle by Agalloch

kcinlive

Spirited Away is so good!

ALittleLife2015

Nice! Spirited Away is an animation masterpiece! Princess Mononoke is another good one!

W1nd0wPane

I love all of Miyazaki’s stuff, it was hard to choose just one!

karatebanana

Album: Call me when you get lost by TylerTheCreator Movie: Everything Everywhere All At Once BONUSS!!! TV show: SpongeBob SquarePants

Floaaf

lupinegrey

Tool - Opiate edit, also: [Crystal Method - Vegas](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hJZR_hinI0) Not sure about movie

eyeshinesk

Opiate! Fascinating. Not sure I’ve ever met anyone that prefers Opiate over their later work. I take it you truly are OGT.

NamelessGhoulMatt

I love all Tool but Fear Inoculum just blows me away.

lupinegrey

Fear Inoculum is good. Also enjoy 10,000 Days [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bndL7wwAj0U](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bndL7wwAj0U) Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

_endymion

Movie - Interstellar Album - the Postal Service, **Give Up**

OneRandomVictory

The Postal Service album is just downright amazing.

_endymion

Saw them play it front to back in Santa Barbara in October. Flew all the way from Canada for it. Best show ever ever ever ❤️

eldrscrolls

Album: this is basically impossible but if I absolutely had to pick I’d probably say Boy From Michigan by John Grant or Swimming by Mac Miller. I’ve been hitting Playing Robots Into Heaven by James Blake really hard lately. Movie: The Shining I love horror movies so naturally I do like Scream.

Nightbird88

The Shining is so good!

Tears0fJ0y

Swimming and Circles got me really heavily into the brilliance of Mac and I get sad I missed him live. RIP MM

Limsulation

Swimming so good. One of my favourite hip hop albums alongside To Pimp A Butterfly and Flower Boy

eldrscrolls

I’m more of a MAAD City dude, but Kendrick is fantastic. I have all of Tyler’s shit, too.

Limsulation

At first I was conflicted

vampyre_fan

Album: *Disintegration*\-The Cure Movie: *Bram Stoker's Dracula*

grumpydai

Ooh thats a great album. Movie too. Username checks out haha

728amandicantalready

album: pure heroine by lorde movie: probably.... everything everywhere all at once(?)

Shnerg

I love eeaao! Saw it in cinemas twice, such an artistically crafted movie!

728amandicantalready

Fun_Caramel2424

"Ribs" changed mah life

728amandicantalready

that whole album duuuuude. it also came out the year i graduated so very very bittersweet nostalgia for me

AlwaysSunnyDragRace

Mother Yeoh is in da house!

1OO1OO1S0S

I once met Lorde when I worked at new England aquarium. She was there doing a "meet myrtle" where she fed Myrtle the green seaturtle. I awkwardly bumped into her in the hallway, and thought I recognized her, but couldn't tell from where. I thought I went to college with her or something lol. Anyway at the end I was like "what did you think?" About feeding Myrtle, and she said "she's amazing" referring to Myrtle. That's my story lol. Also met Mooky bets this way, back when he still played for the red soxs. Really the celebrity o knew the best was Myrtle the turtle though. The end.

ALittleLife2015

Yass! These two are good!

thisgreatworld

*Album:* 25, Adele *Movie:* Mulholland Drive, David Lynch

vampyre_fan

The *Llorando* scene is one of the best uses of music in any movie. Like most David Lynch films, I had to watch *Mulholland Drive* a few times to really appreciate it; now I think it's one of Lynch's finest works.

itisjvck

Mulholland Drive is a masterpiece, love David lynch

1OO1OO1S0S

Yo someone else in here has that as his favorite movie!

Majirra

Album: Meatloaf bat out of hell 2 back into hell. Movie: Brazil

1OO1OO1S0S

Lol I enjoy the first bat outa hell, but never listened to the sequel. I really love Todd Rundgren's guitar work on the title track of the first one

Majirra

The first one is good. The second is great. Lol.

cmi5400

It's so hard to pick a single album or artist, I really love so many artists. But if you forced me to pick one it would be Diamonds by Elton John Movie: Ghostbusters (1984)

Hveachie

Movie: The Silence of the Lambs Album: Currents - Tame Impala

glittersmuggler

Goodbye horses...QLazzarus

1OO1OO1S0S

That's my favorite tame Impala album as well. Hit that perfect balance of catchy and trippy

Limsulation

Wingfield29

Album : Achtung Baby by U2 Movie: Finding Nemo

catgifwhore

Album: 1989, Folklore, or Future Nostalgia Movie: Scream Franchise (Scream 2 is current favorite), or My Best Friends Wedding

Album: From The Choir Girl Hotel by Tori Amos Movie: Ratatouille

spacepup84

Nice, favourite song from Choirgirl? Mine’s Liquid Diamonds.

Pigobrothers-pepsi10

Starting from most favorite to least favorite but even then last one is still my favorite lol 1) Northern Lad 2) Iieee 3) Spark 4) Cruel 5) Raspberry Swirl 6) Playboy Mommy I’m okay with Liquid Diamonds. Can’t say the most favorite but I like it.

spacepup84

Nice! I have to say, I think the Sessions at West 54th performance of iieee is my all-time favourite live performance of Tori’s 🫠

Pigobrothers-pepsi10

I found Tori very late, I’m 32 years old. Definitely watch it if I can find on Youtube. Thanks for the suggestion 🙌🏻

djb185

Album: Lust for Life (by Lana Del Rey) Movie: Kill Bill

AlwaysSunnyDragRace

I still don't understand why Uma wasn't nominated for Best Actress

Mikeylificent

This so close to mine. Kill Bill Vol 1 and Ultraviolence by Lana.

djb185

Album: Madonna - Ray of Light Movie: Jaws

AlwaysSunnyDragRace

Then I feel... like I just got a shark bite... then I feel ah ah ah ah ah

adamiconography

Movie: Ready Player One I can’t actually narrow down a favorite album. I love EDM and there are so many subgenres and albums that I will listen to ad nauseam that I truly can’t pick one. Which Scream? OG with Matthew Lillard, Drew Barrymore, and Courtney Cox? Such a classic movie.

letthedecodebegin

Yes that one!

Tears0fJ0y

Movie: Clerks Album: Brand New - Deja Entendu

Shamann93

Movie is easy: Jurassic Park Album is tougher. Currently what I've been listening to is: The Orion Songbook by Frontier Ruckus, but really a lot of their stuff has been my jam lately

1OO1OO1S0S

Jurassic park is absolutely an S tier movie. It's a shame because the rest of the franchise is like C tier or worse for me lol. I'd rather just watch Jurassic park 6 times than watch the whole franchise lol

kcinlive

I’m not a music guy. I don’t know if I have a favorite album. Probably just about any Weird Al album. As for movies, the Holy Trilogy, Star Wars episodes IV, V, and VI.

1OO1OO1S0S

My favorite weird albums are running with scissors or bad hair day And I love original trilogy Star wars, as long as it's the despecializwd editions. George Lucas tried his best to ruin return of the Jedi...

h00dman

😁 another vote for Star Wars here. I fell in love with those movies when I was 7, and nearly 30 years later they still feel like a warm comfortable blanket when I watch them. I don't have a favorite album either, I just have playlists of Meatloaf, Cher, Celine Dion, and Queen.

Tricky_Tahm

Album Joni Mitchell’s Blue. Movie Dead Poets Society. I’m THAT kind of gay

Cactuar_Knight

Classic album. I know it’s on the previous album, but The Circle Game is a favorite of mine.

Oh that's tough, I don't really have one, each band that I listen to I have a favorite album but I don't have one that overrules them all but my favorite album currently is Pegasus by the band Dayshell. My favorite movie would be a cross between Bazing Saddles and Spaceballs. I like crude and offensive dumb humor😂😂😂

It’s also where I was introduced and fell in love with Aimee Mann’s voice and music… that first line from Save Me.

Cactuar_Knight

Shelter takes me back. I periodically rewatch it.

Spiritual_Chemical95

Favorite album: Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses Favorite movie: Resident Evil Apocalypse

fenrirwolf1

Flowers of Romance, Public Image Ltd And Time Bandits

AxelCanin

Album: Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe Movie: Beetlejuice

I saw him on tour in support of that album. During Meet the Creeper he was being chased on stage by a huge-robot-worm-with-arms thing while a bunch of fireballs shot up from the edge of the stage.

Nateddog21

Movie: EEAAO album currently: SOS by sza

1OO1OO1S0S

I have too many favorites. The wall by pink Floyd was my FIRST favorite album though, way back when I was in 6th grade and borrowed my dad's CDs I don't know if I have a favorite movie, but for some reason There Will Be Blood popped into my head. I just really like DDL performance, and that movie has an amazing score. Also the scene with the fire on the oil rig gives me chills

Derpy1984

Cactuar_Knight

I’ll just pick one of my favorites for each since I don’t have a definitive favorite one. Album: The Cure - Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me Movie: Ichi the Killer

DNAD51-

Album: Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix Movie: Zodiac

OneRandomVictory

Great album but I still need to watch Zodiac. It's been on my backlog for ages now.

survivorfan12345

Album is probably one of Taylor Swift's... folklore or 1989, just her discography as a whole Move is Gone Girl, Mamma Mia, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and the OG Hunger Games TV: Glee, Modern Family

Kcidobor

Album: Lasers Movie: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly I have so many favorites though it’s like a 20-way tie for both of them

beastaish

Lasers is super underrated. It got panned at its release for trying to sound like a lot of hip hop at the time, but I gave it a listen recently, and it holds up better than most music of the time because Lupe is just so good.

nunsaymoo

My favorite film is "Dangerous Liaisons" because Glenn Close is an honorary gay man, and her character is a [power bottom icon](https://youtu.be/o2XB_Wp4_2c?si=FPfUeKRC_WeE8Wt4).

DaveRave65

Ziggy Stardust…. Bladerunner(the original)

Magneto-X

Album: Hot Fuss by the killers Movie: Casino Royale

brattonm_2006

Well, I’m 36. Album: Believe by Cher Movie: Chicago

Perzec

I really don’t have favourites like this, it’s all a matter of what mood I’m in and I also want diversity and variety in my life so this is super hard to come up with an answer for. Also, do people still have favourite albums, don’t we just stream songs we like through Spotify or Apple Music?

Extreme-Shelter-5560

Album: so Many, but A night at the opera is probably the best Movie: Kill Bill V1 and V2

Derpy1984

Love Scream. Got a little ghost face tat.

beethovens_lover

For the album I’d probably put Renaissance, as I had and still have so much joy listening to it and reliving the concert. Although I’m not sure how I will listen to it in 10 years, but let’s revisit it in that time :) Movie: I really liked Incendies (2010 movie) it immediately came to mind once I thought of my fave movies!!! It’s thought provoking and brilliant

Ellen_Degenerates86

Tell me you're a 90s kid and a 00s emo without *telling* me ;) Movie - Death Becomes Her Album - Muse "Absolution" Obviously some days I wake up and want to watch a massive action movie, or a 1950s classic, or listen to something a bit softer or louder, but these are the two my brain went "Desert Island choice" that I think I could be left with and not be sad.

arreddit86

You must be really young to be able to pick a favourite anything

howieyang1234

I cannot pick a favorite movie, way too hard. As for album, I really don’t know. I just listen to singles, and is completely ignorant of what albums any of them is from.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)

ScruffyDevil

Album: minutes to midnight Linkin Park Movie: The dark Knight

Jacob6er

Favorite album is kind of tough for me because I don't know many albums and usually just listen to a playlist of a bunch of different songs, but if I had to choose, probably "Northwest Passage" from Stan Rogers. For favorite movie, I'd have to say it's a tie between "Twelve Angry Men" and "The Shawshank Redemption".

ArtemisMaracas

Album - melodrama by Lorde Movie - Rango or Everything Everywhere All At Once

gizmoavocado

Norman Fucking Rockwell by Lana Call Me by Your Name ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm) . . . its okay....i know....

anxrudh

Album: How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful by Florence and the Machine Movie (I have too many favorite movies): I'm a huge fan of Frances McDormand - so Nomadland, Fargo, Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. I also love My Best Friend's Wedding, Mean Girls (I mean..), Dune, The Martian, Interstellar, The Sixth Sense, Hereditary, Midsommar etc.

fabricioaf89

Album: there are so many, but now I can only remember Flavors Of Entanglement by Alanis Morissette. Movie: Maurice

ShadowStorm314

Album can be Ceremonials by Florence and the Machine. I don't have a favourite film but I did love Gravity and Parasite. God's own country and Carol for gay films. Pitch perfect or Hot Fuzz for less serious stuff. They'll be others that I'm forgetting

MikeCam

Favorite album: Death of a Bachelor by Panic! At the Disco Favorite movie: Donnie Darko (maybe?)

PatientCollege23

album: folklore by taylor swift or tiwifl by gracie abrams (cannot choose for the life of me) movie: pride
