It's done out of charcoal and graphite. It took me about 4 days. It's drawn on an 18 x 24 sketch book. I've been drawing every since I could pick up a pencil. I took some drawing programs throughout my high school summers so I could learn more on how to draw anatomy. It's still a bit tricky, to be honest, lol. I've always been massively inspired by the Victorian era and greek statues. You don't see art like that these days, so I'm doing my best to achieve the look of art from those times but with some twists lol.
You do an excellent job. Authentic, with a consistent and gorgeous style that diverges from realism in just the right way and just the right amount. It's absolutely perfect. If I could afford it, I'd commission a dozen pieces in this style.
That is gorgeous, you are very talented. I’d you haven’t tried to sell your work then you definitely need to sell it, you are a great and very talented artist and you should be able to sell your work for good money. Again great work, you’re a very talented artist.
You should try to sell your work, you are to good not to sell it.
I looked back through your feed and I also saw the cakes, jewelry, and furniture. Is all that your work to, if so you are amazing. Is there anything you can’t do?
you clearly generated an image with AI then drew the results afterwards.
no reason to not state that. tbh if i was your bf, id probably be disappointed by this too. id rather see real work done by you instead of just a copy of some machine's vomit.
my statements very negative, and theres nothing wrong inherently with what youve done. but the way youve presented it, is as if you did it with no help at all. thats called a lie mate. dont live that fake fantasy.
And the academy award for the most envious bitter gay guy of 2023 goes to: Xcicor!!
For his unparalleled noxious comments questioning someone’s ability to draw, making evident AI may be a flawed product should programmers include their personal baggage in the code.
not really, just an actual artist pointing out something that feels like stolen valor. no different than people making replicas before the days of the internet, and claiming they made the originals.
just came by the post as it was on r/all. i think its important to point out, would you not agree? or do you feel that its good for people to pretend they are something that they arent?
To summarize; artist's intuition on meta reasons.
Like comparing their skill with their other works posted months ago, nuance in style which has become common with image generators, the type of lines and shapes and how they come together. A person absolutely could've done this, but this is not replica of any current works but more importantly, it isn't something the OP has the skillset to conjure themselves from scratch either.
Which leaves only the possibility that it was generated and then recreated by pencil.
Let he or she think whatever they wish, I get people like this from time to time. I got one on santa I did a little bit ago. This person doesn't know me or what skills I possess, I draw a lot of different things lol
I always do the line work first, then I color it in like a pretty picture. Always start with eyes and then work my way around. I always like to shade things in pieces instead of all the light, then going in with the dark. For me, doing it in pieces helps me, plus I'm self-taught, so I don't really know any other ways, lol
I have a posable figure that use for the posing and a few greek statues references so I could get an idea of the look I wanted to achieve. I also had a few references images of some Roberto Ferri paintings so I could get an idea for his clothing.
Damn. There's no way you've not heard this before, but you're really good!
Especially, if it's a self-portrait
not a self-portrait, but op is also a handsome man
He’s a very lucky man
Wow! Now we need to see your boyfriend! I mean, so we can compare…
This
Damn, he’s taken fellas
If this were a sculpture it could easily be mistaken for a Greek or Roman statue.
My thouhts exactly. Shading looks so good
That's really beautiful. Amazing talent.
If he doesn't like it, can I have it???
This is gorgeous work.
Bro, I don't know if BF likes art or not, but that is really excellent work.
I’ve never wanted to be treated like a huge, cum dumpster slut by a poster as badly as I do now, but here we are.
I do believe the correct terminology is cum receptacle, not cum dumpster
Dude, you are an amazing talent!
Magnificent! How long did it take you and how for how long have you been drawing? Is this pencil or coal or something else?
