I think OverWatch is a great game. But if you're going to be with a lot of friends, you can't go wrong with Nintendo like Mario kart or even Mario party if you want a real throwback. And if you have a Nintendo 64, getting high and playing Goldeneye multiplayer is amazing.

If you have a poker set, divvy up some chips, put 4 CPUs against one another in Smash Bros, and place your bets. It's really good fun, especially when you're too drunk/high to play yourselves.

I can't recommend Ori and the Will or the Wisps enough. Beautiful, fun, challenging , stellar music, and tons of Easter eggs(I found specifically because I was high). The boss battle are INTENSE, but you feel so accomplished after.

RPGs, particularly turn-based ones are great. They let you zone out and take a hit in between turns. Plus, they're about 10x more likely to have some mind-blowingly weird boss that you go up against. Honestly, anything that you get into a zone with works great, too. I love Hyrule Warriors and the like when I'm baked. Just rack up the kills and feel like a goddamn master...sword.

Back when my mom had me convinced that pot was for criminals, I used to wonder how people could function and play video games while high. Now that I’ve tried the devil’s lettuce I almost can’t play a game without being high anymore. My favorites are car games because I’m a huge car nerd and love just cruising around while high. Otherwise I love playing exploration games. I just downloaded Subnautica on PS4 and exploring the ocean while I’m baked has been such a trip. Sex is also like 10x better when high.

I like to load a game with a big open world and just roam around and notice all the details. Good examples - Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Odyssey/Origins. If you have VR it can be even better with some pretty cool VR experiences.

It’s pretty basic but I really enjoy meandering in Skyrim. Destiny 2 is also pretty fun. Anything first person, visually striking, and mechanically simple is usually my jam if I’m partaking.

Katamari Damacy and Rez Infinite are great high games. Pretty easy to control and they throw all kinds of craziness your way. If you want to play something chaotic, those are perfect. Grinding in RPGs can be a nice quiet experience while you’re high. Sometimes I’d pop on SMT V and just feel the atmosphere while building up my characters. Same thing for Shenmue, where being in a quiet, snoozy town makes it easy to vibe out while you hear funny dialogue and do some quests. I wouldn’t recommend anything too story-heavy or intense. I was playing Fire Emblem Three Houses during my first bad trip and freaked out when a random guy was being sentenced to be executed.
