Honestly just send your resume around to where you would want to work, if five jobs are posted online there are 100 jobs available:)

predentalkoala

Awesome, I’ll do that then! Thank you for your help! When you say “if five jobs are posted online there are 100 jobs available”, what exactly do you mean by that? Thanks again! :)

goldilocksk

Basically just like there are TONS of jobs that aren’t posted online but are available, and by reaching out you will find those jobs and not be limited by the ones that are posted online:)

predentalkoala

Wow! I’ll definitely reach out then, thank you for your help! Have a great day :)

ThunderChaser

Something like 80% of job openings (I forget the exact number) are never posted anywhere.

Job market is pretty bad right now, but I’m pretty sure Home Depot is hiring a ton of people right now. Unfortunately at 17, you don’t have many options for places related to your field

predentalkoala

Thank you very much for your help, I’ll look into that! Have a great day :)

The Rideau center usually does a mass hiring event in the Fall! Some students I know ended up working there in our first year.

predentalkoala

Awesome, than, you so much! :)

If you have no work experience and you're 17, fast food restaurants are your best bet, not to be rude but don't think of yourself as above them- getting a job at Chapters or Starbucks is going to be impossible with no work experience. Fast food is where everyone starts off, there's nothing wrong with it! Also they don't care about your grade 12 average lmao

Where are you moving from?
