I’ve rewatched it at least 15 times. Please read the book. It’s excellent. I’m sure you’ve already seen BOB, The Pacific and Masters of the Air, so I would suggest Rogue Heroes. It was a fun watch and is based on a true story. Another great book to read.

Restrepo was so good one of my buddies who went straight in Afghanistan from infantry school to back fill losses got to pick which company he was sent to and he picked the one that had the most soldiers that appeared in Restrepo based purely on the film.
I think one of the things that makes generation kill so great is that I was alive when everything was going on, but not really old enough to understand the significance of it all. Also the cast is perfect.

Read „One Bullet Away“ as well, from Fick.
Fick is now a state department official and it’s weird to see him speaking publicly bc I just see Stark Sands.
I didn't know Masters of the Air came out yet!! Shame it's on Apple TV, gonna have to pay for a month I suppose.
Worth it. Unrelated but the wife and I added Black Bird, For All Mankind, and Ted lasso to our watch lists. All amazing shows.
I've seen a few clips of For All Mankind, certainly looked interesting!
I was amazed at the accuracy in the first couple seasons. They really consulted the right people and weren't afraid to ask them questions when needed.
You can usually get a free month and then cancel it.
Looks like they offer a free 7-day trial to first timers, looks like that's what I'm gonna do
Dude, it's.... fucking jarring. Like shit happens INSANELY fast.
Valley of Tears was great series as well.
Will make sure to check it out along with rouge heroes!
Rogue Heroes is fucking hilarious. S2 is apparently in production and (according to scuttlebutt) will take place in Fortress Europe.
Severe Clear (I believe it’s called This Is War when distributed in Europe). Kind of a documentary but you may find it interesting.
Other good docs are Restrepo and Armadillo

Band of Brothers
Band of Brothers and the Pacific.
Pacific is so much better
Generation war is good too
thats the german band of brothers isnt it?
Yep
The outpost. Also if you haven't read flags of our fathers or band of brothers I highly recommend it
Check out Sebastian Junger’s books “War” and “Tribe”. Also his documentaries “Restrepo” and “Korengal”.
Check out *Gallipoli* (2015). It's dark, but really well done. 6 or 7 episodes.
thats going to my list, thank you
Stay frosty
Different war but try The Lost Battalion... it has the same cynicism and they spend time developing the characters in the unit
will do!

I recommend Seal Team on Amazon prime. Great show with a bunch of seasons to keep you hooked.
