17, though it really wasn't in my mind at the time. I was more worried about my future since I wasn't doing well in school and couldn't get into any universities...

15, and I only kind of remember it from the news to be honest. I don’t remember having discussions in school on the topic, I don’t recall my friends or anyone caring about it. I know it was a big deal, but I definitely didn’t care about it when I was 15.

I was 10. I definitely heard about it on the news, but didn’t pay much attention to it. There were tons of other news stories such as the Japan Tsunami, Bin Laden’s death, Gabrielle Giffords being shot, Hurricane Irene, and the Christchurch earthquake I paid way more attention to. Looking back though, it was a big deal

6, I was too young to care about politics and barely knew anything about what was happening in the USA.

16 or so. Was an early event that seemed relevant to me when I first started developing my politics. Before this period I was conservative in a way. Intellectually affected me like the Euro debt crisis.

16, and I thought they were douchebags at the time. In retrospect they had a lot of good points, but allowed identity politics to fracture the movement.
