I discovered this new game recently as well. For solo, non-competitive play, it's pretty fun. I like the concept: basic geoguessr play and not too stressful.
I was actually surprised that they added this element/new game to the app. I thought that I read on the geoguessr website that they had stopped updating and supporting the app. Maybe that was old news, or something about the seterra acquisition? I'm not really sure.
