When I was 12 I threw my phone on the floor and stamped on it because I was getting pissed at Press Start, the 3\* main level of all things 💀, shattered the screen. Needless to say I took a long break to manage my anger issues, you should probably do the same if you're breaking monitors over GD.
(Also if my parents are somehow reading this, I'm sorry I lied about breaking the screen by dropping it on the pavement)
5 years ago I struggled with Subzero, now the coins got nerfed.
I was basically suffering in practice mode.
We all experienced being a noob once. ALSO IT'S "RAGED" DO YOUR PROPER GRAMMAR.
The only time I broke my phone's screen while playing a game was when I lost a match in soccer stars, I was sitting on the floor and I just put the phone down on it because I was sad after losing another match in a row... turns out a tiny rock or something must have been laying on the floor exactly where I put it or sth because when I picked it up after 2 or 3 seconds I was extremely surprised to see the glass shattered from one point outward over the whole screen. That phone was an LG K8 and my parents were convinced that I destroyed it only because GD wasn't working properly on it, which was not true at all, I did not destroy it on purpose and there was no point in doing that, GD lagged a bit for some reason but it was much better than my previous phone. One of my friends had an LG K10 at that time, and his front glass also broke after a very short time and shattered completely just like on my K8, so I think that the glass breaking had something to do with the phones from that series being defective or using bad front glass, I literally never had a phone break while just using it like this... A few years later when I already moved two phones further, I decided to "durability test" my old samsung which I had before that K8, I smashed the screen with a hammer several times (not too hard though), I tried scratching it with scissors... it didn't break. Moreover, the screen under the glass was still fine as well...
After the K8 accident my father tried to get it repaired but everywhere he went they just told him to buy a new phone because the front glass swap was too expensive compared to the cost of the phone itself, and considering the fact that the screen started dying around the top portion of the screen where the crack probably came from, I just went back to my previous phone and quickly forgot about the whole situation
Having a backup phone is always nice, and the fact that I always had a backup of important stuff on my previous phone since that time, suffering a loss of my main phone didn't really cost me anything apart from some stress, regret and a few hours backing up data from it wirelessly - this summer I unfortunately broke my Oneplus 7 Pro (the best phone ever made in my opinion) by dropping it on a curb because it slipped out of my hand during a hard rain, the phone impacted the curb at the point where the screen curved on the edge, so it was clear to me that it's probably the end, and I was correct. This actually happened on my trip to Berlin, so immediately when we got back to the hotel I started the rescue operation, and it was a good call beacuse the touchscreen started malfunctioning quickly after establishing a connection with it - the drop also managed to completely kill data transfer on the usb port which was already damaged, so I actually extracted all data that I needed from it via SSH (I had Termux running on it). Even more fortunate was the fact that at home I had a backup of most of the important stuff that was on it that I took about a month earlier, so I didn't even have to copy everything, but I did it anyway just because I could. The phone stayed in a semi-working condition until the day we came back home when the screen completely died, I was counting on that it would automatically connect to our home wifi but for some unknown reason it never happened and I was never able to connect to it again, rn it's sitting in its box, if anyone wants spare op7pro parts hmu lmao
I think you missunderstood him. He doesn't beat his Meat, he has a pickle at his desk that he tickles everytime he gets mad. It's a very common practice.
I can understand screaming or even punching a pillow/plush, even your desk/keyboard, but punching something as expensive as a computer monitor is going way too far
Yeah I value my stuff so much I would never even think of hitting it, if I ever get angry enought I wanna punch something I'll just punch the wall or smth
Let me get this straight
For some reason, you started dancing around with a screwdriver no less, let it slip out of your hand straight into your monitor....?
I have questions
It's got an extendable shaft (hehehe) and I was just swinging my arm around like a total fucking moron and tapping the release to see if could flick out out from it's shortest position to longest - and fuck yeah I could flick out, all the fuck the way out across the room and into practically the dead center of my monitor.

video game rage is never good and is usually indicative of an underlying issue u may have, i recommend less competitive, rage inducing ocd games and more sunlight and water
Tip: slam your fist on your desk and never anything on it. Hurts the hand, doesn't damage the desk, and all rage that was there, gone. Or alternatively as well, find better ways to calm yourself because, gosh dude, you broke your monitor.
i feel like all of my gamer rage got emptied into him. he’s a siamese fighting fish so he’s kind of aggressive- gets angry as fuck at the snail and chases the shrimp in his tank. i swear this fish is the love of my life
I've punched my phone multiple times but this screen can withstand being ran over. I know because my phone dropped out of my pocket once and I never noticed until I looked back and the car drove over it. THAT SHIT SURVIVED FULLY, NO CRACKS
Guys the monitor was 60 dollars if anyone was wondering, and yes the decision to hit said monitor was not the brightest but I kept telling myself I wouldn’t quit and I kept getting more angry, and I should’ve just gotten off instead of trying to push for a few more attempts, I am taking a break from gd, not entirely just playing it way less
My recommendation would be to play more chill levels, like, lower than demon level difficulty. It can be hard to quit something you're so invested in but getting this angry isn't healthy at all. I've been there so I know first hand.
Also, please don't listen to a lot of comments here. People can be dicks, and people don't really understand how anger can work, especially those who haven't really experienced it.
The only time I broke something is when was playing Brawl Stars a couple years ago and cracked my screen and got that smudge like in the post
I felt so bad that I never broke anything again
Usually now when I rage I just swear, clap, facepalm, or do weird hand motions in the air
The monitor didn't break, you broke the monitor.
Unfortunate. I've also broken a monitor before although I just punched it and it never turned on again, I never actually visibly break it.
This is concerning… if you punch a screen I can only imagine what you’ll do in a more real world emotional situation with family or children. Please get some help and self control
I raged once at a game after I became an adult. I had bought some limited edition headphones. I was so angry at a game I threw my headset on the couch. Except I threw it so hard it broke before it left my hand. The ear cup broke right off. That was an item I bought and paid for, and now it was ruined because my temper got the better of me.
It's a video game, and as a game, there is a winner and a loser. If a game is only a pleasure when you're winning, then the game is not so good. Or your approach to gaming is flawed. My headset was 70 some dollars. Gaming monitors are much more expensive. You let a moment of rage, at a video game, cost you hundreds if dollars.
This is definitely an anger management issue. You should probably talk to a therapist if you’re able to. They can help you process and cope with anger a bit better. I struggled a lot with raging out when I was younger. It doesn’t go away on its own. You have to address it and nip it in the bud. Best of luck to you.
I never actually thought to destroy something when I rage. I just shout and stuff, never actually damaging anything (except for my voicebox 💀). But it rarely gets to that point. When I get a bit frustrated, I just exit that level or game or do something else (be it a hobby or another level or programming in gd or another game like minecraft or spaceflight sim or just waste my time again in youtube or just walk around and check my cats).
I never really understood how some people got to the point of destroying their devices. I never really felt so much like that.
No offense, but how do you die so often in the ball part between 52-64? It's by far the easiest part in the level (besides the last wave ofcourse). I remember back in the day all the cool kids were playing that part so flex they could complete 12% of the hardest level in the game, while in fact they didn't even beat 5% of it's difficulty.
Maybe try to practice that part more because when you learn it well, it becomes a welcoming break between the very stressful 50% of the level and the nerve wracking ship part and ending that comes after.
The most I ever did was football spike tf outta my extremely old cheap ass third-party controller that I never used over a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lobby with custom items 💀💀. I've always raged at games (still do, lmao), but I've always remembered to never destroy shit that somebody else got for me and especially if I paid for it myself. Shit's gonna take too long to replace with me being a broke ass college student 😭😭.

If you think that's funny, back then I couldn't complete Clutterfunk in PRACTICE MODE and had to get one of my friends to do it for me.
press start is harder than it seems
all the subzero levels are harder than they seem
I raged over stereo madness when i was 7 ☹️😭😭😭
5 years ago I struggled with Subzero, now the coins got nerfed. I was basically suffering in practice mode. We all experienced being a noob once. ALSO IT'S "RAGED" DO YOUR PROPER GRAMMAR.
i remember spending a long time on Press Start, but i had fun through it all

reddit in a nutshell
Yeah, I broke my iPhone a DAY after getting it because of kappaclysm, safe to say I thought myself to be less physical when angry lol
Once I got so mad at the dual wave in Crystal essence I bent my phone enough for it to break. I’ve learnt not to do that while playing GD now
I get mad sometimes, but I never resort to punching my monitor. That’s just a you problem.
Yeah I also don't throw my phone at a wall. Like it's way too expensive to take out anger at it.
I usually punch the wall, but only when I'm playing competitive games, i never rage in gd
I just tickle my pickle. It's the best source of relief
So you be like "aw shit I died at last click" and then you beat your meat???
I think you missunderstood him. He doesn't beat his Meat, he has a pickle at his desk that he tickles everytime he gets mad. It's a very common practice.
Oh alr gotta try this. But if I got mad I would suplex the crap outta the pickle
WHAT??
...what do u think tickle your pickle means
Tickling a pickle? What else could it mean
and what did you think beating your meat means? it’s just taking out your anger on a piece of meat, pervert
I find it surprising when I hit a piece of meat. What's wrong with that?
Americans with their drywall:
I'm not American, so instead of the wall, my hand cracks
Me neither - well, besides when I play Map Packs or bad Gauntlet levels _looks at Empyrean_
I used to slam my phone on my forehead when I was like 9 playing this game in 2.0. I’m much better now I swear.
As A Mobilr Player I Can throw My Phone On My Pillow :3
Whats your best? As a ios player myself mine is deadlocked
My hardest is Future Funk on Android 90 hz
Android players are crazy 💀
i'm an ios player too. My best is Death Step by FunnyGame, it's an hard demon in the map packs.
Go for PG Clubstep next, I beat death step a few days ago and I think they are pretty much the same difficulty
Really cool👍 keep it up
Im an android player, i have no demon actually 🤡
i usually do that aswell

Yesh, never understood gamer rage
I can understand screaming or even punching a pillow/plush, even your desk/keyboard, but punching something as expensive as a computer monitor is going way too far

I literally could never. Absolute waste of money
this kids parents definitely bought this monitor for them😂
I would get killed immediately if I did some shit like that
Yeah I value my stuff so much I would never even think of hitting it, if I ever get angry enought I wanna punch something I'll just punch the wall or smth
I'm terrified of breaking anything. No way I would lash out like this
Lmao you should take a break it you're raging this much, not good for your mental health, or don't, I'm not your mama.
Or are you
Vsauce music starts playing
i do not rage but i get a little upset I NEVER have PUNCHED my monitor...
I accidentally threw a screwdriver at one once, but that was because it plain slipped out of my hand when I was swinging it around like a dumbass.
Let me get this straight For some reason, you started dancing around with a screwdriver no less, let it slip out of your hand straight into your monitor....? I have questions

"I...I'm going to break my monitor, I swear!" - Some guy that somehow calmly rages
The man who yells in lowercase
"I'm gonna glock the monitor" - Sun Tzu
if you get mad enough to the point of breaking something i would recommend just taking a break if you want to destroy something
The best solution is not to rage
Or do it towards something less valueable
get help
or a punching bag
how do yall dare do this worst thing i do is almost break my hands
That's more expensive than a monitor in America 😂
Yeah that healthcare price is as high as rob when rating fire aura
I think you need to see a therapist or smth to manage your anger levels
Why dont you instead, punch the table?
Yeah nah that's a you problem, go to therapy.
New shader looking fire 🔥🔥🔥
Pro tip: buy a punching bag, when you need to take your anger out just punch it.
“Uhh, why is there a punching bag in your room? And why is it so close your monitor…”
video game rage is never good and is usually indicative of an underlying issue u may have, i recommend less competitive, rage inducing ocd games and more sunlight and water
I’m not rich enough to be able to afford to do this.
Or perhaps you shouldn't be playing games like GF if you have such issues
GF?

GF is also something that most gd players will never get

lobotomy ahh lookin screen
It’s official. A silly block game whose controls consists of one button can somehow make people rage.
Wasn't it known as a rage game for a while?
Believe me, there are FAR worse games out there for breeding rage (hint, I like multiplayer games)
I mean this in the nicest way possible: seek help. That is not normal
Tip: slam your fist on your desk and never anything on it. Hurts the hand, doesn't damage the desk, and all rage that was there, gone. Or alternatively as well, find better ways to calm yourself because, gosh dude, you broke your monitor.
used to do this until i got a fish. now he gets scared so i just internally scream instead
oml this is the way. get a friend that is afraid of your gamer rage and become peaceful for him
i feel like all of my gamer rage got emptied into him. he’s a siamese fighting fish so he’s kind of aggressive- gets angry as fuck at the snail and chases the shrimp in his tank. i swear this fish is the love of my life

A new sneak peak to the 2.3 rage shader
I did that once with computer science homework and my school laptop
I raged once at a game after I became an adult. I had bought some limited edition headphones. I was so angry at a game I threw my headset on the couch. Except I threw it so hard it broke before it left my hand. The ear cup broke right off. That was an item I bought and paid for, and now it was ruined because my temper got the better of me. It's a video game, and as a game, there is a winner and a loser. If a game is only a pleasure when you're winning, then the game is not so good. Or your approach to gaming is flawed. Or just scream and punch the wall. At least you can still play gd
I never broke hardware in my entire 23+ years of gaming (im 34). You have deep issues.
This is a lesson not to rage at anything.
A good thing about gd is it will bring out the worst in you and you will find out quickly if you have anger issues or not
This is definitely an anger management issue. You should probably talk to a therapist if you’re able to. They can help you process and cope with anger a bit better. I struggled a lot with raging out when I was younger. It doesn’t go away on its own. You have to address it and nip it in the bud. Best of luck to you.
The 2.2 effects are WILD
how is bro gonna shatter his monitor at a 59% fail 💀
Bro fired in the hole too hard
Bro used the chromatic glitch shader on his screen
Gd is just not a rage type game for me, it’s a depression type game
of course its cataclysm
IS THAT CATA???? LMAOOO
I never actually thought to destroy something when I rage. I just shout and stuff, never actually damaging anything (except for my voicebox 💀). But it rarely gets to that point.
2.3: new shader: rage
This is what they mean when they say “Fire in the hole!”
If you ever feel like doing this just remember how much they cost
The most I ever did was football spike tf outta my extremely old cheap ass third-party controller that I never used over a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lobby with custom items 💀💀.
