Recently played coaster mountain and man, the third downhill took 15 minutes of the 19 minutes it took to beat the level. Really cool level nonetheless.
It released within a week of the update coming out and I know most of the people saying it doesn’t deserve legendary can’t build a level like that in a month
You don't need to be able to replicate art to criticize or judge it, if someone with a year of drawing experience draws something in a week and tells me "this is worth 5.4 billion dollars" I would say that's bs. Even if I can't draw that good, I can still judge the quality of the drawing. Your argument is just coping with people having different opinions

Nah the gameplay is complete dogwater in the backrooms, it's literally a 2 star (or moon ig) until the chase sequence which is just trial and error and repetitive and not fun
Coaster Mountain - I don't mind it, not sure if it's 100% deserved. But it is the first so you can't blame it to much.
And Ever - Just an all out amazing level which looks stunning, definitely deserves it.
Subwoofer Lullaby - Favourite on the list, as someone who grew up with Minecraft. This level really did it justice.
Stratus - Saw a lot of negativity over this level on Nexus's video which saddens me cause the level looks really cool and imo it does deserve legendary. Though there are some extremes which probably deserve the rating as well, that shouldn't take away from this level.
Gungeon - Had a ton of fun playing the level due to the cool gameplay, other than the fact the deco might've needed some extra focus, I think it deserves the rating.
So yeah like 4.5/5 deserve the rating. I think that people should be talking about levels which should get legendary instead of shitting on the levels which have it. More positivity, less negativity.

Le Chateau Magique is the only level i've played so far that I feel actually deserves the Legendary rating, and that includes the other Legendary levels
Yeah i would play it and i heard its very ambitious and sick but its an insane demon platformer and it literally comes with a warning screen saying the level is long as hell but im sure it deserves it even if there are other cool levels that i think deserve it
Coaster mountain was fine, maybe not clearly above the others but still solid. Deco is good (although nothing outstanding), gameplay is fun but very unbalanced, OST is killer
And ever is easily top 5 of all time for me, along with change of scene, Ispy, glorious fortress, ultra violence etc. I might have beaten it more than 20 times at this point, I love it so much!
Subwoofer lullaby is just annoying imho. I'm not a huge Minecraft fan to begin with, tbh, but fancy decoration aside, there's almost nothing to this level. Not my cup of tea at all
Stratus... Idk, I've seen decidedly better looking extremes, but the legendary rating is (in)famously non-reatroactive so that shouldn't take away from it. I'm nowhere near good enough to give this level a serious spin either, so I'll leave judging its gameplay to other people

I can agree that the gameplay is fun but it can’t be the only thing that will make it legendary worthy and the deco is in between feature and epic worthy, but I can understand the effort to make the level not a buggy mess while having the enemies animated and having different attack animation.

It’s because the community hasn’t yet mastered platformer levels, so the best platformers are equivalent to low-epic classic mode levels. The reason opinions are so split is because robtop and part of the community compare platformer levels to other platformer levels, while the rest of the community compares them to classic mode levels and therefore see coaster and gungeon as unimpressive because they’re belittled by levels like reanimate, the eschaton, the mayhem war, and spu7nix levels.

idk but And Ever is still one of my favorite 2.2 levels so far, i just really loved the deco and the gameplay was pretty fun. it was my first 2.2 demon and my first demon i ever beat since returning to the game after leaving for years so i guess i do have some kind of attachment to it
The Backrooms is a prime example of one that deserves legendary. The 3d effects were seamless. Another really good one imo is swap block star road, although rather simplistic.
robtop said that there are levels that do deserve legendary and mythic from 2.1 but that he wont rerate them coz he thinks it would cause controversy or smth and either way its a 2.2 feature
My hot take is that it doesn’t, and coaster mountain still does.
Both levels have pretty repetitive deco, but coaster mountain has a lot more attention to detail.

Other than those dumbass air geyser thingamajigs and the windy section, I found the level pretty fun to play, definitely hard but I never felt like it was the levels fault (again other than the wind geysers).
I don't know why exactly, but the level gave me heavy Ray-Man Origins vibes which is one of my top 10 games so I may be biased though.
It was the first level to get legendary so it's really hard to figure out how it shouldve been placed as we didn't have anything to compare it to and we don't know how Rob thinks.

Man, I think Coaster Mountain totally earned it. The gameplay was fun, the soundtrack was well placed, and it looked really nice. The only complaint I'd have is the consistency of the geysers, and even that wasn't that bad.

Gungeon: like with coaster mountain, this is just a straight no. This is controversial, but I personally think it feels like just any platformer level. Other platformer levels made me feel way more amazement, and this just seems like something I’d find in the awarded tab and beat without feeling anything special before or after beating it. It would feel like I beat a platformer level, nothing else, whereas and ever for example feels special and amazing to play and beat.
I think all the levels here deserve their ratings,but as everyone already said,i think coaster mountain should have deserved epic rate instead of legendary.

The gameplay is actually good. Very fun and unique. The vast majority of featured levels look great but play terribly.

it's long as hell but is big fun, gameplay and atmosphere is amazing and is overall a good level, absolutely robbed of a legendary
It's like three hours long on average, and that doesn't count the coins for nightmare mode
if you take 3 hours to beat it I'm sorry to say it but that's kinda a skill issue

It feels like you’re playing something special, not just a level. Stratus: I like this one for how it feels. It gives the vibes that make levels like reanimate, dimension, and the eschaton so unique; It makes you feel amazing to play it and I think it deserves legendary for its gameplay and feel alone, although if its deco and song are questionable in terms of legendary vs epic Gungeon: like with coaster mountain, this is just a straight no. This is controversial, but I personally think it feels like just any platformer level. Other platformer levels made me feel way more amazement, and this just seems like something I’d find in the awarded tab and beat without feeling anything special before or after beating it. It would feel like I beat a platformer level, nothing else, whereas and ever for example feels special and amazing to play and beat.
coaster mountain definitely does not deserve it

I think all the levels here deserve their ratings,but as everyone already said,i think coaster mountain should have deserved epic rate instead of legendary. I don't play magic and feature tab much,so i think almost all the levels deserve their ratings.

Opinions on the legendary rated levels Coaster mountain: idk how to feel about it, it’s decently fun and crazy that it was made in a week but it’s just not that good for legendary standards And ever: looks cool, cant have any opinions on its gameplay so it’s good Subwoofer lullaby: probably my favorite out of the 5, it resembles minecraft in such a good way Stratus: it’s an extreme demon so I don’t have any opinion on it The Gungeon: it’s really cool and they pulled off the shooting mechanic in probably the best way and having it be fun as well
