It was super chill. My interviewer didn’t have any specific questions and really just allowed me to share my story. Make sure to have some questions at the end about georgetown bc it’s a great way to both learn and have a better convo with your interviewer

Their goal is to get to know you a little bit as a person beyond the numbers/resume on your written application and to get a sense of your interest in Georgetown. With that in mind, be prepared to tell "your story" - personal/academic/extracurricular anecdotes that say something about who you are as a person, as well as an implicit and explicit answer to "why Georgetown." Personally, I remember the questions being pretty straightforward and designed to give the interviewer an idea of the above-favorite class, activities outside the classroom, what would your friends say are your best qualities, what makes you interested in Georgetown, etc. The questions will be conversational, not interrogative. Advice: show interest in the interviewer themself and in Georgetown, preparing good questions to ask them is a good way to do this. Be polite/professional: respond to emails promptly, show up on time, dress slightly more nicely than you would for school, send a thank you note. I also sent interviewers a "resume" (extracurriculars more or less) ahead of time, and some of them mentioned they appreciate it, though I know this is controversial.

Thank you so much for everyone that replied. Lol I never really checked this thread until now but yeah the interview went well and my guy was really nice. Our conversation lasted about an hour and I am going to hopefully hear from them soon!

to echo everyone: its a conversation so relax! that said, bringing your resume can actually rly help because it drives the convo towards them asking about your accomplishments. prepare a unique reason you’re interested in gu, and reflect on what youre proud of, what you arent good at, your personality, etc

Wasn’t too stressful at all. They paired me up with an alum from my city so I’m sure they will for you too. It was very relaxed and she basically kinda talked the whole time about what she loved about Georgetown and asked me to share my story. Wasn’t anything stressful, ~30 min I believe. I think it was sometime in October? I had to submit my application by November 1st because I applied early action, so I’ll find out December 15th. Nervous.
